If you need a break say if you are in your second semester would that be okay? When I say a break taking a semester off from the program.
I know this is a year ago, but I think it’s best to just stick it out. I had so much bad stuff happen to me in nursing school. My wife at the time had an affair and got pregnant, so we got a divorce. I tore my rotator cuff and had surgery on my dominant arm. I hit a major depression, but I finished. I even failed my NCLEX and I graduated with honors. Just push through it and come out a stronger person. Now I’m single, no kids, and moving to South Carolina to start a new life.
I'm so tired. Im so burnt out. I'm so overwhelmed. I miss having fun. I miss being free. I was feeling so low. Thank you for making this video.

I posted on here about a month and a half ago and I almost quit. I’m back on here to let everybody know that I didn’t and I graduated. I haven’t started working yet. I’m waiting to take the NCLEX, but I promise you it’s worth it. Keep pushing

@@krsytalomeli it’s worth it, so keep pushing. If you are in it for the right reason I promise it will be worth it. If you’re in it to make money you’re just gonna get burn out and look like all of these other jaded nurses. Remember what you’re doing it for and keep pushing.

i would rather go through mechanical engineering college AGAIN than continue nursing school just for an associates. nursing school teachers got big egos. got tired of hearing "well did you read your book?", or "it is not meant to be easy." well one: yes i read my book. two: no crap it is not easy. i never said why is not easy.

I could be wrong but most people in the medical field seem to have big egos. Maybe not in front of their parents but the whole culture.

I've noticed that most students, including myself, consider dropping out in clinicals. If your clinical placement sucks, it really makes it hard to want to continue. If you have a crappy instructor on top of that (like I do) it really adds to the feelings of anxiety/depression/anger that you feel.

I don't know what to do anymore. There are too many tasks. I can't do it anymore. I wanna drop badly. I didn't know nursing would be this hard.

It’s not the grades it’s the not being sure it is my passion anymore. I also have bad anxiety when it comes to clinicals and I’m just not sure.
I feel this too right now. I'm in my third year. I'm so close to quitting. It really burns me out and I miss having a life
If I'd known I was gonna have to go to RUclips to learn pharmacology... I'm really thinking about letting this go. Raising kids no support, I have to work, they don't teach. Don't know what to study! Smh it's a mess
Thank you for posting this. First semester went great, but second semester is absolutely killing me. I am so discouraged by clincals. Thought about dropping but because of this video I am going to try to keep going. I hope that I find a type of nursing I like soon.

How’d it go?
I’m sobbing I’m half way done my first semester and it truly is so hard but I’ve worked so hard to get here and had an awful day of clinical and feel like I’m not good enough I even called out of clinical last week because i felt defeated. Thank you for re motivating me.

I’m in my second year, first semester and I’ve been contemplating quitting. I feel overwhelmed and school just started. This popped up right when I needed it!
Yeah I was burned out. Also the program I was it was accelerated.
I wish I would have switched to social work or even worked as community based nursing. Instead I went on to burn myself in prisons, nursing homes and the VA. Next life I am going to follow my bliss and be a private dancer.
I’ve always struggled between nursing and social work... I picked nursing school and am starting to believe i made the wrong decision.

Thank you for uploading. I am an Lpn that joined a bridge rn class. Even though I’m doing okay in class, I’m not doing well in sim lab. I get so nervous and I make a fool of myself. I like clinical and feel most comfortable there.
Got a 60% on my first exam and I’m contemplating quitting.
Y’all I thought I would never make through nursing school! It was challenging, and I have to repeat a semester and pay out of pocket. I know is hard, but push through! I graduated it May! I’ve never been so happy in a career before. And had 3 close family members die while in school! I now work on a ICU Covid unit

This is how I felt and swapped majors, it was so stressful and I didn’t want to work in a hospital or nursing home (I’m glad you talked about other places nurses work) On the finals I had just given up and didn’t really try. I failed by 1 point. I’m thinking about going back now.
It’s not my clinical placement it’s my tests. I feel so stupid. I’m burnt out, I’m tired, I’m depressed, I don’t think I’m going to be a good nurse. I hate it….. thank you for this video ❤

I failed all three of my classes and passed clinicals but going back in January!
I dropped out of nursing school and I am relief. I was failing my classes and getting warnings that I failed. And I don’t know how to drive either so I was spending money in Uber and not passing my exams? That is why I got tired. 😔😔
I'm thinking I should have just gone into teaching 1rst or 2nd grade. I would have had my Bachelor's by now and I'm just thinking that Nursing School isn't worth all this stress. Since I've been in Nursing School I have gotten a therapist and started on anti-anxiety meds
I’m a STNA and I’ve always been conflicted with nursing or social work and lately I’m seriously thinking I should have just went for social work!🤦🏾♀️
I want to quit because in pre nursing I have 4.0 gpa and in nursing first level I can’t get the 80 score in order to pass 😢is so frustrating
You have been such a huge resource for me and I probably wouldnt be here if there wasnt amazing nurses like you on youtube to help me...but saying nursing school "Can be trying at times" is a severe understatement lol.
I am at my wits end and I'm only in the second semester. I thought the whole goal of nursing school was to teach you things and help you retain this important information so you'll be a good nurse...NO!! In reality it's cramming a ton of information in an unreasonably short time and moving on to the next truckload of information. Week by week we're tested on what we learned that week and then BAM!! Next!
I just don't understand how this is helping us retain relevant information. It's more like a weekly cram session with new info every week for years! It's exhausting and frustrating! I just wish we could cut out the papers and unnecessary stuff that is just busy work and focus more on the hands on that nurses need to know, you know?
I'm burned out with school and Healthcare and don't really want to stay in it either. I've had some good teachers and some horrible ones. I don't like online classes either because we are teaching ourselves. Why am i paying thousands of dollars to teach myself. The school should be paying students to teach themselves. I think I'm going to cut down classes to maybe 1 or 2 per quarter. Sucks to pay more for longer time in school but will fail out of classes to lose money and education either way

I wanted like...every day. I finished because I wanted to finish smething. I just got my license and feel a little despondent. Like no balloons, unicorns and a party for me lol
I'm sorry but I kinda understand. I just started not long ago and feel like that a bit. It's hard haven't been too happy but I want to finish something. Congrats to you that's a good achievement!

I am paying this school 30K to teach myself how to be an LVN. it’s pathetic
