I had to leave the Peloton group on Facebook because too many people would criticize her "fake laugh". I never took it as a fake laugh, rather an exuberance for life. I wish more folks were simple happy to be alive!
I have just started watching / listening to these podcasts in full. I've listened to bits & pieces before but i'm now trying to get through one per week on my way to & from work in the car. I suffer from an auto immune disease which causes inflation in my blood vessels (mostly in my legs) but also my elbows & knees as well. I had blood vessels literally come to the surface of my calves & explode causing huge wounds which have been treated over many years & have 90% healed. I'm 52 & I used to be quite athletic but i'm barely able to walk more than 100 metres without having to stop for a few minutes. I take Endone for pain because nothing else works. I wanna get back to being fit & happy but I just don't know what to do or if i can anymore. I feel like an old man & I don't know why i'm even fucking writing this here. I listen to Rich & his guests because it allows me to dream & see the people out there doing the things I wished I could be doing. Thanks for the great content.
Balance is common sense and yet so many are confused by its practice in daily living. What balance is not: doing the same stuff everyday at the same energy level, same time increment. Balance is a state of consciousness where we are intentional when it comes to tending to one’s overall well being, including avoiding behaviors that may be addictive. Sometimes when we are achievers, we lose track of the time requirements involved in building healthy relationships or being close to the natural world we are a part of. Knowing how to prioritize time requirements for what matters most, and living it out in a way that our body, mind and relationships are mostly in a state of well being = Balance. Can’t always be perfect but we can do what we can to practice balance in what matters most.
I found Robin on RRP years ago and ran to Peloton NYC studios where over three years I took over 200 classes with her! I like to say she is the REAL DEAL! Thoughtful, inspiring, bad ass but so damn funny as well. She definitely built the brand class by sweaty class and deserves her success.
YAY!!! I was SO excited when I saw that you got Robin on your show again!! I got into Peloton last summer, and Robin is My Girl!! Your interviews with her are the best out there and have listened to them all a few times. I'm not even thru listening to this one yet for the first time, but couldn't wait to comment!! She is an extraordinary human being whose authenticity and swagger are gorgeous, STUNNING really. And you do a beautiful job of crafting the conversation, as usual. THANK YOU!
Honestly the only reason I continued watching this podcast was because I thought it was going to get better. I finally accepted that it was boring to me and I was unable to relate You used terms that I have never heard of before and did not interest me. I felt like I wasn't qualified enough to even comprehend parts of the conversation. I switched off and went to Brene Brown. Why not have Her on your show? You would win a ton of fans. Just a suggestion. Love you and so grateful for you. Please continue all of your hard work.
Did you know that "peloton" means "fearless" in Finnish? I've been wondering whether that's the origin of the name, but apparently it relates to a phenomenon in cycling. :D
Interesting. In Spanish "pelotón" is called the main and largest group of cyclists in a road cycling competition . When traveling very close to each other, the resistance to the wind decreases, achieving energy savings (from Wikipedia).
Classic. Do you ever invite a guest on who has different views than you? You used to number one in our family as far as content goes. But you are really losing interest in us lately. We love you but it's all the same.
I actually had a really hard time listening to this podcast being a mom who has a daughter recovering from an eating disorder. I love Rich Roll's podcast, but not necessarily this episode.
Apparently to RR & his flowery guest, the whole shebang is about who gets recognized out on the streets..what a tragic bore. Yet that's what its about now ..your score- who your sponsored by, how your selling ..the #'s ! What a pile. And the roadway is so crowded with all these wantabe"s with so little in rich unique spirited authenticity. Yawn !
Yet, here you are. Bless your heart. Completely missed the point about her upward climb to the top of her field. Perhaps it’s time to redirect the envy vibe/emotion you’re sending out into something that will bring you a bit of good fortune in life, because the alternative in your day to day, is a drag. Be well.
@@CgColleenGorman - positively 0 envy🎈& getting to the top of the ' field' is exactly where the issue lies...so you can boast of your studio' s square footage? Again..extremely boring🐦

Interesting. I really love her laugh. It's unbridled.

I’m so happy to see your podcast, i’m currently reading her book Shut Up and Run.
Saved this as there’s so many gems that are inspiring. Thank you RR for having RA on again 🙏💗
Wait what, last on six years ago? Seems like yesterday! - clearly forces of nature stay fresh in the memory 😎

I got so much doubt lol. It's scary and paralyzing.
Sweet
