@@isawapinksheepinmc4419 No they dont have the King Kong liscence. King Kong is old (the book), its public domain - if they want make a movie KK they need a liscence from the responsive movie. This is the NECA KK, not the Skull Island Kong, not the Monsterverse Kong or the 1933 Kong.
Kong is an all time favorite of mine. I always enjoy looking at the original Kong movie. Can't have action figures without a Kong in your collection. Thanks for sharing 👍

This one looks like the Japanese take on King Kong. Was just watching this marathon yesterday. They could've included a closed mouth too. Also f zilla I'm a Kong fan.

I just got this figure for my birthday and i’m loving it so much. The screaming and mad face though does not fit. I put it on but if I move it it falls off. I checked and the hole inside is fine. So I’m not sure of I’m not pushing hard enough. But even my dad couldn’t do it. The other head fits but not the mad one which is my favorite. Plz tell me if you know how to fix this.
I have the same problem with the heads popping off due to the small neck peg, but I prefer that over it being too tight and breaking while trying to remove it. I thought about army building this, but I already have the Mezco Kong, the Monster Arts figure, and 2 of the NECA POTA Rise gorillas. That gives me enough variety among a group, so it doesn't look like an army of clones.
Right after I watched your livestream doing this set on IG while eating in my car I stopped at Walmart and found King Kong! Pretty dope, I thought this set w Goldar, Godzilla, UltraMan etc looked fun so ima get some of those buildings to shoot him also, great review, thx!
Hey D, I dunno if you've noticed, but your camera or microphone seems to be able to detect where your voice is coming from relative to it, so your voice shifts back and forth between the left and right stereo sound channels as you move around in the video. It's kind of unnerving when I'm wearing headphones, because it's like I can feel you behind me moving around and talking into my ears. You might wanna consider setting the voice track in your videos to mono instead of stereo to avoid this. It's not like there's anything captured in your videos' audio that would be lost without stereo sound.

Not saying it's:ever going to happen, but S.H. has been re-releasing a lot of old figures that I would have never been able to get, now I have! Which I'm happy I wasn't stupid and spent $300+ for figures that I just got for 89 bucks!!
The gums/gap between the lips and teeth is a bit too much - also, in the original Kong it's an homage to, the teeth were bigger; more like the teeth in the roaring head, though OG Kong never opened that wide. Small nit-picks, but they add up. Otherwise it's a pretty great sculpt of the classic King Kong! I've ordered it since I haven't found it at Target yet ...
You know what's weird? He's not buffed enough to be a silverback gorilla. Like, go look at some real photos of gorillas, even with that kind of pot belly, big rounded hips and thighs, big rounded shoulders create a V torso shape that bodybuilders have. Kong looks like a farmer in silhouette, definitely strong, but not buffed.
@@Android-eo3pq I would love to see a line of realistic great apes. The Planet of the Apes line was good, but obviously still required a license. Just doing anatomically correct apes wouldn't require an expensive license so we could save cash for alt heads and hands.

The problems with this Kong are that the arms are thin and the legs are too long.
