  • It was too cold and icy to make the trek up Seoraksan's most famous peak, so we decided to take the gondola to the top of one of the lesser peaks in the park.

      It is called Gwongeumseong peak, it can be reached by cable car, wait for the weather forecast until it snows.

    Hi I think you guys know how to feel the genuine beauty of Korea. K-Pop and many shops in Seoul don't represent our culture. Many locals here enjoy hiking and Seorak Mt is one of the top 3 mountains in Korea. Thank you for sharing.

      We went at the end of January. February in Korea is still really cold and Seoraksan will definitely still be icy and snowy.

      No, both the park and the cable car cost money. I think the Seoraksan NP entrance fee is around 4,000krw and the cable car is 10,000krw for a round-trip ticket.

    I see this was published mid-April. Is this when you went? We are going end of March or first week of April. ...wondering how cold and how much snow.

      I would checked weather forecasts, we went in February and posted this video a little late. Seoraksan can get random snow in spring, ut not often

    Is it always snowing on the top?

    • @hedgersabroad
      @hedgersabroad  6 лет назад

      Not during the warmer months, no. Not tall enough for that kind of climate, but it does get a fair amount of snow in the winter.
