As always, thank you for all of these travel guides related to South Korea. There is so much information in the video playlist that has helped me.
Thanks for including how many days in advance the Q Code (within 72 hours) and K-ETA (within a year) be completed. I’ve been searching everywhere for a clear answer, and you’re the only person to give me a definitive answer.

I just wanted to let you know I really like your presentation style. Great job! Just found your channel, looking forward to making my way through the playlists. Heading to Seoul summer 2024.
With well explained and helpful information…THANK YOI!
We just arrived in Korea a couple days ago from the US. All of Megan’s videos were extremely helpful! I think the only surprise was how many start and stops there were (stopping at immigration, then forward, then customs, then forward, then baggage claim). My wife and I are in Hongdae now (airport limousine bus is very cheap and easy, would recommend). And we will be in Korea for another 6 days between here and Itaewon! Thank you Megan, would love to meet you!
Awww I'm so glad my video have been so helpful! I hope you have a wonderful trip~ 🫂❤️✨ It's Easter weekend and I'm on a business trip until this evening so I'm a bit busy... So sorry but much love! Message me on Instagram or email me if you'd like to attend my Easter church service though~

Thank you so much for assembling and posting this video! I’m definitely subscribing to your account and looking forward to your insights and tips on life in Korea.
And I love the little quips like “ya done” and “tryin’ to get yo money” that pop up randomly alongside the helpful info.
Thank you! So excited to go back to visit my former home of Seoul :)
Thank you so much!!! I'm flying there at the end of March for the first time alone and I was really nervous as I didn't know what it would be like and the airport anxiety was through the roof but this has kinda helped me with what to expect a lot more and hopefully can put me a little more at ease with knowing the process now!
This video just got recommended to me and I just want to say thank you for making such an informative and helpful video on this specific topic! As someone who struggles a lot with anxiety and overthinking when it comes to travelling and planning, this really helps me a lot! Thank you for being so clear and detailed in this, and also for actually exploring this aspect of travelling in a video, instead of just the commonly talked about topics of food, culture and such. I will be subscribing for sure! :D
fingerprint scanning process is what i’m afraid the most 😭

Thank you sooooo much for this video. I've in fact been to a "fake" website for visa that looked so official. They wanted to charge me $109.00 per person!!. I paid for myself.. then I got distracted and didn't get to other family members yet.. also bit discourage at how much it costs. Then I clicked on your video. OMG! I called the credit card company and luckily they put a dispute on the charge and will credit me back. Really enjoy all your videos. Thanks again!
Thanks Megan... SUPER HELPFUL. I'm planning my trip for MAY now.

I concur. Your K-ETA is good for two years. I traveled back in October 2022 and currently here again in March 2023 on the same K-ETA. You don't need to print it out. The K-ETA is in their system. But as a good measure, have it saved on your phone just in case they need to see it. Do your Q-CODE, the day before your travel. You can also have this saved on your phone as they will scan this after you de-plane but before you reach customs. I don't remember having to take a wrist temperature but yeah maybe. 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you sooooo much. This short video answered so many of my questions. It’s been 3 years since I was last in Korea and things have changed. I was so confused of the Q code thing - did I need to prove I was negative and when to fill out the form - you answered them in one short video. So excited for my trip now. Got a few more months to wait, but hoping it flies by!
So excited for you!! Safe travels 😍✨
I’m glad I was able to answer some of your questions 🫂❤️

I really recommend this video for cheap train tickets 😊❤️
Flying next Sunday! Thank you :))
I love you for this video! Going to Korea in about a month and the visa page from my country was so confusing until I realized that I 'only' need the k-eta (needs to be 72h before arrival, compared to 1-2 months for a longer stay visa).
This is the first vid of yours that I'm watching but already obsessed!!! I'm gonna go watch all your vids today! Going to Seoul in a month, so excited yet extremely nervous. My question would be what is an arrival card? Are you given one or how do you get it? Thank you so much!!!
Not sure if anyone write this (too many comments 😊) but…..
In celebration of ‘Visit Korea Year (2023~2024)’, K-ETA will be temporarily exempted to 22 countries/regions from April 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024 (KST).
Please note that nationals of 22 countries/regions can still apply for K-ETA, and K-ETA application fee is 10,000 KRW/per person (around 9~10 USD, additional fees not included). Those who have the K-ETA are not required to submit an arrival card at the port of arrival.
○ List of 22 countries/regions eligible for temporary exemption of K-ETA:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macao, Netherlands,
New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UK, US (including Guam)
Yes I got the same info when I tried to submit my info as a US citizen visiting Korea in April 2023. Guess I'll fill out the arrival card (it's free).
USA???
Thank you for this! I was confused for a moment when watching this.
what about Europe?
Yup, that’s what I read today in US Gov website. I’m planning a 2-4 days trip from the Philippines to Korea
Good job! Thanks.

I am in Seoul right now sitting in my Myeongdong hotel. Of the 4 countries I visited the past three weeks Korea was the most complicated to navigate for Immigration but I successfully got through it. I came in on Thai Smile Airways and they were helpful in getting prepared. It was a very busy arrival too and took me 2 1/2 hours from the plane landing to arriving in Seoul Station metro.
Hii may i ask you how much does it cost to stay in a hotel? Im planning on going on september but i was considering other ‘cheap’ alternatives such as hostels and airbnb. I will be going alone as a woman and i am very worried for my safety 🥲😅
@@krizel2447 I stayed at Daeyoung Hotel Seoul which was at the time $45 USD/night. Very nice rooms clean and quiet. Much better than the places I stayed in India. Safety is definitely not an issue in Seoul as a solo female traveler you'll be very much at ease getting around at night. The metro system is really nice there I used it a lot and Myeongdong district has lots of places within walking distance.
@@axnyslie Best comparison I have ever seen, India vs Korea! Lol!
@gteuytse hope so!! Can’t wait to finally go there🤩
Are you from Thailand?
Thank you so much for creating the complete airport guide pdf. It's really helpful. If I have luggages, which transportation(aside from taxi) is more convenient if my hotel is at Myeongdong. Thank you.
Hi Megan, thanks for your informative video. Just want to give an update for your viewers. Just now I completed application for K-ETA through the App on my phone. The charges has gone up a bit to 10,300 KRW.
hi megan! thank you for brining us such helpful information in an uncomplicated way! **Question on K-ETA for a Korean contact, I don't plan on getting a SIM card...could I put down the number of the hotel I'll be staying at?**
I arrived to Korea from the UK in January, at the passport control a woman started asking questions with the mask, because I am deaf, I had disability documents with me, I can read through mouth, I asked her to remove the mask, or to explain with gestures, she said that won't take off the mask, and won't explain with gestures, and called someone and I was sent to the cabinet, which is the left of the passport control, and I started to search for embassy contacts there, because it's unfair. The officer then summoned me for the interview, which I explained everything to them and stated that I would like to contact my embassy. They apologized, placed a sticker on my passport, took me through passport control, and said goodbye with their heads down. I'm writing to individuals who have hearing problems to advise them to bring all of their disability documentation with them and notify the embassy, as it is their responsibility to protect all citizens.
Thanks for your sharing! Do you mean you can read lips? Even English as second language people?
Just try to put my head in shoes of your group. No offence at all.
To be English as second language, I am deaf and mute to some extent.
Hello! I myself am deaf. A few years ago I was in Korea. I have a problem communicating with people. I communicate only with gestures and lips. And just sent me to another office. They checked my documents, air tickets there and back, reservation. Everything is fine and no questions asked. Released. There is no point in contacting the embassy. Only as a last resort. Good luck)
Hii! Can you please guide me for the Korea visa application. I am also in uk.
