    Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to CLE about 18 months ago. Stayed in the hotel at the base of the Key Tower, that whole vibe is very nice! Took a walking tour up Euclid Ave and learned all about Playhouse Square and the surrounding area. With the relatively low cost of living, In would venture to say that it could be a good city to relocate to because you get a lot of "bang for your buck" there.

      Yes, University Circle, being the hub of Cleveland's cultural, educational, and medical sectors, needs to be highlighted. A mention of the Cleveland Orchestra--how Cleveland is known to much of the world culturally, is needed as well. These are remnants of when Cleveland was the richest city in the world for a time. Rockefeller lived and worked in Cleveland, and he and industrialists like him should get a mention with your intro to the industry.

With the cost of living added in it may be the best bang for your buck and the last city where middle class can still have the American dream. It’s gone in many cities where you must make 100k to even qualify for a loan.

    How safe is Cleveland for tourists? The city looks awesome but I am worried for my safety on the streets and public transit.

    • @aelfrice
      @aelfrice 6 месяцев назад +2

      Cleveland has a small rapid transit rail network that connects the airport with the bones of the metro area. This is supplemented by busses, which constitute the vast majority of the RTA (the transit name) of the network. It suffers from underfunding due to suburbanization and exurbization. America is a car culture and municipalities and states fund accordingly. If you will safe is impossible to judge, but I would strongly caution you to arrange a private car if you can as this will save you time and effort. Uber and Lyft operate like other major cities.
      I took busses from the suburbs throughout the city through high school age but as soon as I got a car and bicycle, I never take the busses outside of a few exceptions.
      Hope this helps.

      Because usually they’re the hottest of garbage (a 1-15 season followed by a 0-16 season? c’mon), and when they’re not, they choke at the last minute and blow their chances at a postseason.
