One of the best ways to see the skyline is approaching by ferry(another iconic feature of Puget Sound); Downtown runs right up to the waterfront and really looms over you.
One thing that really struck me about Seattle was the Iconic Skyline. Not only has it grown a ton over the years, but that backdrop from Queen Anne Hill lookin south and seeing Mt. I’m glad that they have a bright future for that area, now that the Viaduct is finally gone. It reminds me of when SF knocked down the Embarcadero.

Honestly I feel him. Seattle’s Skyline is probably the best in the country for sure. There’s no other skyline that’s gonna give you an urban downtown with an iconic landmark with mountains in the background, water in the forefront and sides with a giant volcano in the distance. On a clear day it can’t be beat. And as a whole it’s pretty safe. Yeah downtown has some drug and homeless issues and Aurora is rough in some parts, but overall it’s probably the safest major city in the US that I can think of. Only city that has Seattle beat in looks is Vancouver BC because the mountains are closer and there’s more density…but that’s Canada lol.
I've heard so many people say that when comparing the beauty of Van and Seattle and I just gotta say, I think on paper Vancouver is more beautiful, if that makes sense... It has a dense urban cityscape with water hugging it and mountains literally right behind it... but just look them up side by side and compare them with your eyes! Seattle's beautiful architecture, the way the buildings rise up onto first hill, even things we might normally consider ugly, like the distance of Mount Rainier, or I-5 winding around the city from the south, they all combine to make something breathtaking. Minus LA, Pheonix and the Texas cities, I've seen every major skyline in North America (I also live in Toronto), and Seattle's can't be beat.
Great video, @CityGeek! I've been living here a few years and still learned a lot interesting facts from this. As a millenial in my early 30's now and someone who grew up in Seattle (yes, inside the city limits), and has lived in the city or the surrounding metro for all but 4 years of my life... I can say without a doubt Seattle has changed a lot and greatly deteriorated just within my lifetime. It was a great town growing up, maybe even the best major city in America to live for awhile... But around 2010 or so it began a downward spiral that coincided with a population boom and now has rampant issues with homelessness, drug use, & crime. Sure, it looks nice from the drone shots. But down at street level it's a whole different story. The city set a new record for murders and overdoses in 2023. Look at the data, the numbers just keep skyrocketing (as does the insane cost of living). There's still a lot of good things going for it but it's definitely not the city I grew up in anymore. At one point I planned on being here my whole life but that outlook changed VERY fast, I now intend to leave again.
I went back to Washington last year and its way to overcrowded now, Seattle is basically turning into the new SF in terms of homelessness. It was never like that when I grew up there, very sad whats happened tbh.
Yes, I agree..the natural beauty of the harbor and mountains would make any skyline shine. But Seattle “builds” (ha ha) upon this beauty by offering a nice balanced architectural landscape. The skyline just keeps getting better and better each year. I did not realize how large the Seattle skyline had grown in recent years until I watched the opening scenes of TheGood Doctor; a show based on a hospital in Seattle. I thought to myself, “is this some part of New York City? Nope, Seattle! Also, I just love the design of that Space Needle. Seattle’s views are breathtaking, but what really makes it the most beautiful city in the US is the QUANTITY of views. I visited Seattle in 2022 my main reason for visiting was the Space Needle I wish the weather would have been more clear that day the fog cut the visibility a lot I wouldn't mind returning to Seattle was a great city to visit
Thanks 🙏 for inform 😁 I am planning to move there from Europe
Belluve really nice
I wouldn’t love to visit Seattle! Had a layover there once, so I saw it from the sky at night!
I love Seattle Washington
The homeless and criminals love it too.
@@xzaviurauraialways that one person to comment some bs
@@xzaviuraurai there are homeless and criminals in red states / cities as well. Pointless remark.
@@damienholland8103 no it’s not a pointless remark I’ve done extensive traveling to many states and Washington, California, and Oregon are the most unbelievable amount of homeless more democratic states you’re going to see it. I’ve also lived in Vegas. It’s nothing nowhere comparison to Seattle and I lived in Seattle for over 50 years so I think I am a good candidate and what I’m saying is pretty accurate so my statement holes I don’t say something less I have my facts straight so unless you’ve lived there I don’t think you know what you’re talking about
But he's not lying, nasty blue slob populated city, dirty!@@julienalexander6113
Im literally in love with Seattle never been there but its my dream , and soon im achieving it
beautiful place
Can't wait to meet Shamblers once I get there
I dreamed about this city last night, and I decided to see it in reality.
I truly love Seattle. I also think is one of the most attractive cities. The outdoors, how green it is, the only complain is the huge homeless problem, increasing crime and how dirty is becoming. Fix these issues and you would be the envy of the nation.
My city seattle is the best
Great video!
Thank you!
It's Pike Place Market, no 'S' it doesn't belong to anyone named Pike. Pike Place is the road the market it on (Pike Place being an offshoot of Pike Street).
Seattle is really awesome!
Cant wait to visit Seattle
Seattle Washington is a very special and powerful city 😊😊
Pike place market, There is no S on the end of Pike.
Shoutout Madison!
I watch John Levi channel and others who talk about the "OLD WORLD" people and buildings.
I see with new eyes now, The Capitol Building in Madison Wisconsin?
INSANE LOOKING.
Love this channel, Great Work.♧
Seattle’s views are breathtaking, but what really makes it the most beautiful city in the US is the QUANTITY of views. Every city has one great view from a certain spot, but because of Seattle’s location and geography pretty much everywhere you go will be just around the corner from something you could put on a postcard.
Gasworks is my favorite park also.
PS If anyone is contemplating moving here, I wouldn’t recommend it, it rains and stuff. 😉
Rain = Clean air. Yep. No snow. Yep.
Seattle has a beautiful skyline! Strong corporate city! You always do such a great job with the city overview videos. Thanks for all you do. Id love to see a video on Cleveland at some point!
Thank you!! And yes I'll definitely make a video on Cleveland at some point 😃
So much blue sky in this video.
Lol dont let it fool you, about 9 months out the year it's overcast and rain
Seattle is home to the Mariners, Seahawks, Sounders, Storm, Kraken and is missing the Sonics
Ah, the Space Needle no longer has a revolving restaurant but does have a glass floor that revolves. ;-)
Can you do the Australian capital cities please? Thank you. ❤
in a few years seattle/bellevue will have the worlds first railway laid over a floating bridge (it was supposed to be open this year but the contractor fucked it up so they are gonna have to wait about 2 years until they can open it)
Howard will always be playing piano in my Seattle...
Impressive
Дякую , за цікаве відео!
I love seattle, home sweet home seattle🎉
My city!
I visited for the first time in '85. Moved to Seattle in '87. Rarely leave. I liken it to America's Copenhagen, while others say Paris. Smartest thing I've ever done is move my butt to Washington.
I just subscribed
Thank you!!
I grew up in KC nice job bro
Thank you!
My older sister used to live in Seattle about 3 years. Now, she lives in New Orleans.
Seattle was a great place, about 40 yrs, ago, Shame you missed it.
I lived there for 15 years and moved out after it became too crowded! The traffic and crime has become much worse and the housing is not affordable anymore. That and the gloomy climate with a lack of sunshine makes it a stressful unhealthy place to live.
How about the Columbia Tower? Does it still exist?
While Boeing was founded in Seattle, it's headquarters hasn't been in Seattle for over two decades.
Gostaria de ver os interiores de Seattle. Ex O clube Ranier por dentro, a Boeing ou um passeio detalhado pelos museus.
I can't wait to move to the PNW
😂 no, you don't
How long did you live there how would you compare it to other places California so on the scenic beauty
Well, I Still living here since 1993, and every one's is changeddddd.. I like your vid ....!!!!😊
Thank you!
Where does Frasier live?
Boston, apparently.
@@EricaGamet Frasier moved to Boston? When?
@@koraytugay In the new series that just started last week!
@@koraytugayThat surprised me, too. Apparently I want to live in Boston.
What a fantastic overview of Seattle! For those who've been to Seattle, what was your favorite part of the city to explore?
Thank you!
