    'AI' is this years marketing term . . . kids, there's no such thing, no one has invented AI, there's not even a consensus within the research field as to whether it will ever be possible, Unison didn't write an AI, they wrote some basic algorhthmic code, who even needs AI (if it even existed) to randomly generate some bass lines ? You can do it with basic code.

    • @Blav2
      @Blav2 Год назад

      So many people have started calling machine learning 'AI', and it's not accurate at all its just a buzzword as you said. But what they did here with bass dragon could've definitely been machine learning as the guy in the ad said they trained it to 99% accuracy. A measure of how well it can predict the bassline given a key and a genre, testing itself with a given dataset. Still the basslines its generating are pretty bad so they should probably go back to the drawing board on this one

      Nonsense. AI exists. It's not just a buzzword or traditional algorithm; it's a proven technology with significant impacts. Voice assistants like Siri and Alexa understand speech using natural language processing and machine learning, while Netflix predicts user preferences based on behavior. Self-driving cars navigate complex environments using deep learning trained on vast datasets. Algorithms are the building blocks, but trained AI models can learn and adapt. You wouldn't call a trained chess program 'just an algorithm' because it strategizes and wins. Similarly, self-driving cars process data, make decisions, and learn from experience rather than relying on pre-programmed routes. Traditional algorithms are static instructions for predefined tasks, whereas AI models learn and adapt over time, improving autonomously. They tackle complex challenges like speech recognition, disease diagnosis, and autonomous driving through pattern recognition and data-based decision-making. This adaptability makes AI far more sophisticated than static programming. These applications prove that AI is a dynamic, innovative field, transforming how we interact with technology and making impactful real-world decisions. Two things can be true at once: 1. Many use AI as a marketing buzzword, and 2. AI does indeed exist.

    I appreciate this review. I was glad I was able to look at a non biased review. It's either a person is sponsored so they gonna overhype the product or the other extreme where they trash it which seems like the most common one. Yes I understand there are products that can do similar or maybe more like a whole DAW. That's is like someone complaining about a person deciding to go to a steakhouse to enjoy food when they can get a 2 for 20 at Applebees. I just wanting to know is the steakhouse food good lol. So I was able to see the functionality of the product and see if it is useful. Thanks for the solid review.

    • @LunaRealized
      @LunaRealized Год назад +3

      @@JaeFreshmen you’re just BSing your way through any criticism. Asking why people buy drum kits when they can make their own is a pointless question. It’s far harder to sound design drums for genres and it requires much more creativity than basses. Buying kits and loops from professional sound designers allows you to splice and remake them into your own music. Bass is unbelievably simple for 95% of music and if your lazy there are multiple plugins for making lines at a FAIR price. Nobody is buying drum kits for $300 and they sure as hell won’t buy a bass plugin unless they’re tricked into it by shills like you. People buy VSTs because of the features they come with. Take UVI Falcon for example, its $300 and comes with literally infinite sound design capabilities, 94 built in effects, A MELODY AND BASS GENERATOR, granular, fm, wavetable, sampled, and modular synth engines, 750 factory presets, most of which actually sound great, and 64 step sequencing. It also includes a 200 page manual and a Venus Theory 8 video walkthrough. On the other hand, Bass Dragon comes with garbage ‘AI’ that can’t stay in key, minimal sampling features, and like 8 effects. That’s a grift. You’re better than this.

    Melodics and Unison Bass Dragon aren't really comparable, Melodics is music lessons for pads, electronic drums and keys and it will build your skills and the mistakes you make through physically playing can inspire you to build on the patterns you learn to make your music more creative and you could take a little inspiration from multiple patterns to create your own unique patterns and it will help you improve your timing on and off beat.
    Every bassline Bass Dragon generates is very basic and inhuman, your basslines will lack originality because the odds of two different users getting the same pattern is very high because of how basic the basslines are, like a combination lock, less digits means it's easier to crack.
    With the amount of editing you'd have to do to make it a good pattern and not sound hollow or soulless you may as well use scaler 2 or captain plugins for a much lower price with more features and better patterns if you insist on being a lazy beginner or learn to improve your basslines, this isn't a biased opinion, it's only an objective analysis with sound advice before any Sep D riders come at me with their overpriced Unison pitchforks.

      I think Reasons got alot more capable devices for alot less, I think for Midi Generators, including drums, bass, melodys they have it covered.

      @HOLLA SOUNDS ummm what's a lot less.... if you want the full version of reason it's Over 300 so what's a lot less?? I got the light version and to upgrade its still almost 300... no thanks I'll stick with FL studio free upgrades for life... I own all major daws.... none touches FL

      @@Barrygraybeatz - Ironic that you mention FL Studio since FL Studio basically has every the equivalent of Unison Audio plug-in included. Anyone who already owns FL Studio (or Reason) is a fool to by anything by Unison.
      And if you’re the type to blow your money on 💩 like Unison junkware, I have no doubt that you do own every major DAW, but it’s highly unlikely that you’re remotely proficient in more than one or two of them. Anyone with any real experience in the industry knows that NO DAW beats any DAW hands down. Some are just better fits for certain producers.

      @@Barrygraybeatz Even just Using and Buying Reason to use as plugin you get way, way more for $500 then you would with Unison I'll just list some of it.
      Thor, Modular Sythersizor, Europa Sythersizor, Grain Granular Sythersizor, Mimmic Creative sample, Beat Map Generater, Scale and cords, Bassline generater, thousands of samples. I think New producer's would do alot better with spending there money on Reason as a multi device plugin then all of Unisons plugins put together.

      i never understood the hate but then again many producers don't know what its like to be in the music business or engineer for artist and having to manage so many things plus making content , i personally wouldn't drain all my mental power on just making beats from scratch even though i could but its just not efficient for me

      @@JaeFreshmen A valid point however there is plenty of plugins on the market that do more or cost way less, that's the main reason Unison gets hate, they are overpriced and sold as the thing that will allow new producer's to make hit records.

      @@JaeFreshmen said, “I never understood the hate.” How can anyone with integrity not condemn Unison Audio after they tried to control the narrative by attacking legitimate negative RUclips reviews with disingenuous copyright strike takedowns? Unison/Seph is as corrupt as it gets. Only the most corrupt RUclipsrs support them for a cheap buck and only the most naive newbies waste their money on Unison products.
      Be real…smh.
