Sorry for being the devil's advocate, but I have midi wizard 2.0 and its actually pretty good. It has more options and have better sounding chord progressions than the other chord generators that I have used. And it IS a lot better than the 1st version. While I'm a strong believer of making music with my own creativity, I find midi wizard to be a useful songstarter tool. It comes up with complex chords that I probably wouldn't come up with on my own. In fact, I'm learning how to play more chords with it. And you don't have to worry about copyright issues like with sample packs or Splice. All I'm saying is don't knock it down before you give it a chance. But, you're right about the price. It's a little steep.
I've always struggled with chord progressions so I use midi generators purely for that reason (I never really learnt music theory in 25 years of being a classical violinist, there was no need to). I own the Captain/Pilot plugins, Orb Producer Suite and ChordPotion and I guarantee you I've spent less money than just buying midi wizard on all those plugins combined, yet I've got so much more out of them than anything midi wizard could give me.

How can you judge without installing? This plugin is definitely not a trash. "It's not really a synth, it's more like a rompler." - That's surely not true. There is a real synth engine inside. It's hidden from the users though, but you can find some macro controls like detune, fm depth, glide, etc. Macro controls are different for each preset, hence they seem to be picked manually by sound designers, cause they make perfect sense for the context. It also means the chances of a youtube video getting interrupted by a Unison audio youtube commercial will go up exponentially coz these things are targeted. "The Chords are made for you..." for the Nth effin time! (where's my 1 second skip button?)
I am with you on the marketing that unison does. It sucks. Make fun of all the marketing as much as you want to. I have to admit that the reason why this video bothers you called it trash. This is a tool that is useful to some people for different reasons. I have Scaler2, Captain Chords, EzKeys, and Midi Wizard 2 (I bought the original version and got a fee upgrade) and they all have a different approach. Midi Wizard 2 is not a scam. It is fine if you don't like it but think that calling something you have not used trash is going to far.
You clearly didn't watch the video because I didn't call this plugin a scam or trash. I said their marketing is scammy and Unison is still trash... but carry on.
It's not like they can even say they meant beata testers with they "customers say it's 10x better" comment. I'm a beta tester for SEVERAL developers and we don't pay for the plugins. We get NFRs so we aren't "customers".
Wow, how unappreciateve! The stories just keep getting worse and worse. A lot of us work really hard as beta testers. We earn those plugins. We just do it with our time and experience. @@SeanSwizzySwagger
I saw the Wizard announce this morning as well. Just made me laugh at the fact that even the most fancy mastering and mixing plugins don't cost like this. This is expensive trash.
To be honest, I have not discovered anything comparable to Midi Wizard. I tried Melody Sauce 2 and found it to be rather lacking. Other DJs, such as Ave Mcree, are currently riding the “HATE” bandwagon for Unison Audio. However, why are you criticizing a plugin that effectively accomplishes its purpose? I have attempted the stock MIDI generators provided in the FL Studio Pro subscription, and while they come close, they have outdated and cluttered analog controls that date back to the 1990s. What is your intention here? Are you attempting to overthrow Unison for introducing something worthwhile?
This is a poor comparison... The midi wizard gives you more options and long term would be cheaper. Will take 3-6 years to be the cheaper option but If you're in this game for the long haul.... Also having the Wizard midi in the Daw itself is awesome for workflow as opposed to an external app. Just my thoughts haven't purchased the midi wizard yet.
seeds sounded like trash imo, must be edited to be usable, the other plugins you showed are the ones I wouldnt pick. Orb Producer and Captain Chords are way better imo. Scaler has nice reviews but I dont find it as clear since it doest seem to have a midi sequencer inside, WA Production plugins dont come with their sound library so thats a minus for me and there are a few other that either seem to generate too random stuff. Midi Wizard 2 seems usable until you see the price
that much money to not be that creative imo still someone with all those vsts got to think and choose the right parts to make a good song and also has to balance mids, lows. highs, pick right instruments, etc and if he or sings that is even one more factor that won't be solved by the vsts themselves
I felt this was click bait since you did not show anything that midi wizard does and only critiqued the marketing. I was looking for Cool that you present alternatives that are more economical and perhaps more efficient. I would enjoy your channel more if you didnt take time to engage in negative back and forth with people being critical in the comments. This and your attack on unison makes you seem petty. I think you have more to offer than that
Unison just copy the web page from one to the other, they have been doing it years, see the old Reason Lego lol shows how long they have been doing that. Also Reason Comes with scale and cords and You can literally randomly draw midi up and down press one button and turn it into in key chord progressions.
copying one web page from another to promote your product is not a problem why do u think thats the issue no unison is trash for other reasons nonthing wrong with a damn sales funnel but their is something wrong with their products and marketing
It’s funny how you made a video about the disfunction of our community. However, it seems as you’re definitely part of the problem you’d described 🤦🏾♂️
It's funny that this is your only comment ever on my channel... And it's about a company that's consistently scammed people, copyright striked creators, partakes in fomo (which is illegal), doesnt honor their money back guarded, spams the producer community etc etc and I'm part of the dysfunction because I speak about the company..... I guess I'll be dysfunctional then.
@@SumnSumnSumnHTK of course you would be. It’s how you get clicks. Follow the pattern of what generated success from viewers. And what I see is an emotional person who follows other channels form of anger success. Carry on my friend and god bless your disfunction
See that's where you get the internet messed up. You assume you know the creator and why they make the content they do. If I was simply following a trend I'd hate on everything because that gets views. Maybe I don't like unison and maybe I don't wanna see someone else get scammed. Maybe I see all the negative from the company and realize it's not over a 20 year span but over a 3 year span. Maybe I feel it's necessary to speak up. You think i made that video because of views? 😆 Its not like the video is going to get a ton of views. It's not going to go viral. It's going to do about what every other video does. I could've just made another video if it was strictly about the "views". You should really meet someone before you try to analyze who they are and what their motives are... smh
However, I do appreciate your passion for your position. Don’t ever stop that. You’re man enough to engage with people who see things differently so I give you a ton of respect ✊🏾
I’d say that if Unison’s plugins really could done everything they claim and much better than other plugins maybe they’d be worth it for someone who needs a backing band or someone who wants a band in a box to listen to. I did see a battle demo of midi wizard and I thought it had catchier melodies out of the box than the other software. That being said, I wouldn’t pay $300 for it. The alternatives are good enough for me and if I am going to tweak the results anyway, it does really matter. The advertising is classic high pressure sales tactics. Scammy as hell.
This plugin is overpriced. I actually paid for the first version, so this one was free. It is better now if you can withstand that price. Lemonade was pretty good until they went to the subscription model

Probably worth while considering not everybody is a music or music tech pro, and this shiz is haaaard to pick up. Stuff like Unison lowers the barrier to entry and allows people to stop faffing around trying to pull together multiple plugins and music tech theory and get into the act of making music. Sure if you just slap together premade stuff and call it a day that's lame, but if you get inspired and then jam over the track and eventually make your own stuff..... that's a legit time saver. Not every understands how to build chords or chord progressions or how to write melodies or basslines for different genres. Perhaps somebody just wants to jam over the top of stuff with other instruments. It's quite pricey, but also your time is worth a lot.... so if it saves a chunk of time for somebody then it's worth it? I honestly hate their marketing, it really puts me off, but have found some of the other stuff helpful just to get a jam going with mates. By the end of the night we wrote our own stuff, but it was a great launching point to just get into it.
@@HOLLASOUNDS now you are correct, the price is too high I feel. But they can charge whatever they want. It's there product and they might not want everyone to have a copy lol.

The facts are if you have the Money And you need some inspiration this is something that can help a great deal.
To assume people don't like Unison because they don't have "hard earned money or time" is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in awhile. Unison has a reputation of scamming people starting with the Unison chord pack, copyright striking youtube channels for giving them negative reviews, not honoring the money back guarantee, predatory marketing, overcharging for plugins, fomo marketing, making false claims and annoying tf out of the whole entire music community with their ads that we can't disable. There's more people that hate Unison than like them. You sir fall into the small minority or "niche" group of people that support Unison. Just because you have no morals and will support anything that doesn't mean the rest of us have to. There's a difference between being too broke to afford sumn and not seeing the value in sumn.
I never understood this person; he consistently creates hate videos about Unison products. In reality, Unison offers high-quality products, and their prices don’t exceed $300. Unlike other AI plugins like Limonad, which are subscription-based and require monthly payments without ever owning the plugin, Unison products are something you actually own. Why the negativity towards Unison?

It also means the chances of a youtube video getting interrupted by a Unison audio youtube commercial will go up exponentially coz these things are targeted. "The Chords are made for you..." for the Nth effin time! (where's my 1 second skip button?)
And for midi wizard in the middle of this😂😂
I GOT A UNISON AD ON YOUR VID NAH
Tbh the Midi Wizard aint that bad, its a good thing to use as insperation but its too expensive for crap that should cost no more than 20 dollars
I said their marketing is scammy and Unison is still trash... but carry on.
do it make good melodies? or is it hard to get something that sound good i tried scaler and captain they didnt make good melodies or chords
@@BFHPETfr im tryna find this out as well
@@jtb5867 nice comment back and give me feedback i did like to hear it for an actually user and not just one that talk shit like the summsumm kid.
@@BFHPETit’s the user most likely.
It's not like they can even say they meant beata testers with they "customers say it's 10x better" comment. I'm a beta tester for SEVERAL developers and we don't pay for the plugins. We get NFRs so we aren't "customers".
yeah was a tester on version 1....they deactivated those licenses and withdrew their end of the agreement after the plugin was released
It works if you know what you doing...but it is expensive
you should do a video on the new cymatics plugin Memory
Always played an electribe so I played stack monophonics
yeah same here, saw that ad
This was hilarious and accurate 😭😭😂😂
I deserve those plays 😆
😆 🤣 😂
This is a poor comparison... The midi wizard gives you more options and long term would be cheaper. Will take 3-6 years to be the cheaper option but If you're in this game for the long haul.... Also having the Wizard midi in the Daw itself is awesome for workflow as opposed to an external app. Just my thoughts haven't purchased the midi wizard yet.
And when you're doing music is a job for royalties quota matters for royalties
And I will whistle or sing the tune before I play it
AI is the new gluten free
i got a unison add on ts video
Unison audio now has hm Gov self vat gateway for tax from u.k so it does not say don't keep the file
Unison thinking they legit can take 200 dollars for this shit 🤣
man thank you
seeds sounded like trash imo, must be edited to be usable, the other plugins you showed are the ones I wouldnt pick.
Just use klimper guys for chords
♥♥♥💯
that much money to not be that creative imo
still someone with all those vsts got to think and choose the right parts to make a good song
and also has to balance mids, lows. highs, pick right instruments, etc
and if he or sings that is even one more factor that won't be solved by the vsts themselves
If you don’t know chords, why would you make music?
I felt this was click bait since you did not show anything that midi wizard does and only critiqued the marketing. I was looking for Cool that you present alternatives that are more economical and perhaps more efficient. I would enjoy your channel more if you didnt take time to engage in negative back and forth with people being critical in the comments. This and your attack on unison makes you seem petty. I think you have more to offer than that
beyond human limits hahaha 🤣
I understand both perspectives as a person who had his own marketing team with a prominent Fortune 500 company. I’ve managed many people and conducted numerous marketing campaigns.
You should really meet someone before you try to analyze who they are and what their motives are... smh
@@SumnSumnSumnHTK it’s your most engaged content prove me wrong and I’ll digress and apologize
However, I do appreciate your passion for your position. Don’t ever stop that. You’re man enough to engage with people who see things differently so I give you a ton of respect ✊🏾
got me to subcribe and like in 2 mins lol
Otherwise I would do my piano monophonic
Seeds Lemoaide is asking for credit card details for a "free" trail, thanks but a BIG NO thanks!!! terrible.
thATS PRETTY NORMAL AND NOT A RISK THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME THAT COMPANY IS LEGIT THEIR PRODUCT ISNT THAT GOOD BUT ITS NOT A SCAM THEY DONT CHARGE U TILL YOUR FREE TRAIL IS UP DO U NOT UNDERSTAND THAT STOPS ABUSE EVERY TIME USTART A NEW TRIAL U NEED A UNIQUE CREDIT CARD ... THATS ALOT HARDER TOGET THEN A EMAIL ADDRESS IT STOPS ABUSE WHICH IS A HUGE PROBLEM FOR COMPANIES ALOT OF PEOPLE ABUSE FREE TRAILS IVE DONE IT MY SELF MANY TIMES I ABUSED ABLETONS TRIAL FOR LIKE 3 YEARS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT MAKE U USE A CREDIT CARD SO I COULD KEEP RESTARTING IT

Quick muse 59$
its called beta testers
Don’t trust any RUclips people full stop
I hope no-one is stupid enough to buy it, what a waste of money

Just torrent their stuff 😂 or learn music theory

Ah dang Cover Blown 😂@@VentureNW
@@SumnSumnSumnHTKgot em
I never understood this person; he consistently creates hate videos about Unison products. In reality, Unison offers high-quality products, and their prices don’t exceed $300. Unlike other AI plugins like Limonad, which are subscription-based and require monthly payments without ever owning the plugin, Unison products are something you actually own. Why the negativity towards Unison?
