- We sold our 2020 Kiko Goat buckling kids, and also took 1 doe. Selling animals is never easy but we give the best life possible for our herd and sell what we can to other farms as well. Now to continue expanding the homestead and grow the herd!

This video was educational indeed. Did not know does could suffer such a condition. Learn something new every day. Pity that people do not understand the workings of a ‘working farm’ Born & raised city girl (with a country heart) because my favourite uncle & aunt lived on a farm I knew where food came from at an early age. Could be there in the morning and on the table that night. It’s how we’re fed. Very thankful for Farmers/farming. Thank you for sharing this with us all. Gave great insight to a day on a farm. Hi, how do you know which grade your goat will be ahead of time? Is it certain breeds or all about the weight limit?
Breed, weight and condition all play a factor. I'd call whoever you plan to sell to and ask what their criteria is.

That doesn’t seem like much profit for that many goats, how many goats did you sell? Was that all profit knowing between feeds and all the other car they needs with herbs and vitamins and wormers etc? Im starting a goat farm soon so im learning so i apologize in advance for all the questions lol
I wouldn't get into raising goats for profits. The old saying of, "the quickest way to become a millionaire is to start a farm as a billionaire," holds true.
We enjoy doing it, it teaches my son responsibility and I can raise my own food while prices of hormone/antibiotic filled meat continue to increase, and also food security while shortages are becoming a realty make it worth it to me.

Wow, that is a great return! Now, this place is for meat processing only? Not an auction house? We currently have 4 does and a new young buckling...we bred with another buck last year and each doe gave us twins, so 8 kids...we sold all for a cheaper price than what market was going for because we are new...hope you will comment on if this was a meat processing place or an auction?
This is meat process only. Auction barns will pay close but usually a little below a processor from what I have seen.
