You are welcome my friends. I'm the physical therapist from North Carolina 50 years old . these boys opened up in my mind more into different types of metal at Virginia tech in the 80s... Actually thinking about it,. a lot of things opened up my mind back in college.🤣
Wow in another of their videos i asked them to do neue regel as well..i think they might do it...its my favorite queensryche song next to the unreleased “from the darkside” from that same album RFO...u should check it out if you havent heard it
Gotta remember...this was their 4- song EP. Basically this was their audition for the record company. You like this now upon first hearing it, think of how us oldsters felt when this first hit the shelves (back in 83?)... and we weren't even sure how to pronounce the name. I was like...what? Only four songs? Basterds better come up with something more... my buzz is still going strong....which they did... with The Warning. And you can see how more refined they became...they just got better and better. (My personal favorite album is EMPIRE). You two Ryche-sters are too cute... Cheers! 😁😁
I remember 83 when my xgirlfriend turned me on to ryche she the organizer for queensrych fan club for her chapter and she give me a sticker and cassette and I'm like queensrych?? I was blown away 😃 then the warning came out🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 OMG 😳🤘🤘🤘🤘and the rest is history 🤘🎸💯 been a fan every since!
Great reaction to me (personally) this is the best Queensryche. The warning era was queensryche at their peak. This was geoff at his best as i found in the latter stuff he was a bit lazy in utilizing his range a lot of the time. Imo. Great song. Also their is a video of Brittany doing this on karaoke in a bar in edinburgh after a scottish Unleash the Archers show. Absolutely brilliant. Needless to say i dont think anyone got up to sing after she was finished 🤘🤘
(The warning era was Queensryche at their peak) Finally, someone that knows their Ryche! During The Warning album, Geoff Tate was in his prime and most powerful...
I know this video is old but UTA has a video Brittney covering Queen of the Reich at a karaoke bar and she really nails that first note. Very impressive considering it was after a live show
yeah i was about to mention that karaoke performance of Brittney's. absolutely unbelievable that note she hit at the start!! and she held it for so long i swore she would explode. ruclips.net/video/280DRqoGyLw/видео.html&start_radio=1
Metal has been at my loves core. It's been my great companion through thick and thin and if needed, for wrong or right. This is the endearing portrait that's painted for me regarding our hosts. They both give informative opinions but mostly compliment each other hand in hand through their journey of music. It's great to see the love you share, for each other and for metal.
Love the original, and the cover, and the cover just kicks things up several notches, and makes it a UTA speed metal song. All that insane high speed double kick drumming just launches the cover into the stratosphere. Holy hell. Great reaction, as always. Brittney Slayes is the lead singer for Unleash The Archers, and Geoff Tate was indeed the original lead singer for Queensryche, you were correct on that, Rich. Nice to see your channel growing, by the way. Just imagine UTA doing a full-blown Queensryche cover album. Not just one song. A whole album. (Imagine for a moment, Brittney Slayes singing *ALL* of Queensryche's masterpiece the Operation: Mindcrime album. Speaking of minds being blown.) The idea of that, just based on this insanely killer cover, just cranks up the adrenaline levels. Brittney's vocals are just mind-blowing. She hits all of Geoff Tate's high notes to perfection. Love it. Nicely done, you two.
Great to see how you guys adore each other. . . and respect each other's taste in music. . . fun to watch you guys especially experiencing bands like Queensryche and Tool for the first time.
Some useless extra knowledge, Brittney from UTA listed Geoff Tate from Queensryche as one of her vocal influences. So this cover is kind of a nod to that.
I were lucky to see the music video on TV when it were brand new, 35 years ago and bouvht all their CD's, Vinyls, DVD's, VHS's and Blu-Ray's since then. :) This is my favourite QR song. The first i ever heard from them. I will see Queensryche in november, but with LaTorre on vocals on this song.
First off, thank you for playing one of many of my requests. It just hits the spot. Also I like this little wrinkle you did. A reaction/comparison video with a original/cover. Very cool. I hope you do more. Here's one you should try. #JethroTull Cross-Eyed Mary (original) #IronMaiden Cross-Eyed Mary (cover). Always fun checking you guys out. \m/
Nice touch of the double tap... good to show two versions of the same song. Queesryche to me had a better tempo and guitars were fuller, UTA was a bit faster but all around cover since her vocals can hit them notes i dont hear bands cover this song. (male singers) but all in all the original song totally caught the 80s blueprint of vocals
They really played those instruments back in the day and had little interference with synthesizers or things of that nature queensryche they progressed and you heard the most raw version of that band.take into consideration that they were playing the instruments for real in front of a live audience stadiums were packed worldwide this band is awesome
Thats a trip !!! I JUST found this version from Unleash The Archers tonite and here is your clip right with it !! VERY COOL !! SHE is the only person on the planet right now that can hit this ! Todd LaTorre does great - but he sings it a third down.
I have fallen right in love with both of your reactions and the passion for the variety of music that you listen to. And Kel, I am saddened by you being kept from all of this delight. That is why I get so much joy with every one of your reactions, every emotion, with every song you here for the first song. And that is why I would like to make a very special request, special for you, Kel. For both of you. I've noticed that you've taken a liking to vocals with range and songs with feeling, including Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row. I would love to witness your reaction to another Skid Row song that holds a lot of feelings for me, as I have experienced the plot of this song, lived it, helped more than one friend through it. Not always successful. I find it a very powerful and emotionally uplifting masterpiece. I hope you soon take the time to hear it. And keep on a reacting. I'm lovin' it.
Got to listen some of their own songs. Awakening from #UnleashTheArchers is a big song on reaction videos right now. Also love to see you two react to some #RageAgainstTheMachine...like their song Bulls on Parade, Know your Enemy, Take the Powerback
To give you a little back story on this song I grew up with these guys and when they recorded this song they gave it the name Queen of the Reich and then said that would be a cool band name so that's how they got their band name queensrych
Oddly enough, while it's a decent cover she does better with those opening vocals in the karaoke setting ruclips.net/video/280DRqoGyLw/видео.html. I suspect she was trying to copy Tate's style in the opening, which unfortunately means she's not using her own style. The karaoke version is when her and her bandmates were unwinding after a show.
Queensryche should be respected and listen to fully with open ears and an open mind respect the lyrics that they write because Geoff Tate is a master at word play
This will always exist. Thankfully. Great music never dies. Look at Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Pachelbel. The list is endless. The greats live forever.
5 records that were game changers for me Kiss Destroyer, Boston (debut album), Ozzy Osbourne Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman (Randy Rhoads changed the way that I thought about guitar) and the Queensryche ep.
You guys need to listen to the Karaoke bar version of this. Apparently after finishing a live show, Brittney sang this in a Karaoke bar the same night and absolutely killed it even better than this studio version. Seriously, go check it out. \m/
I remember the first time I heard this. Queensryche opening for Dio on King Biscuit Flour Hour. October 30th or 31st. 1983. A lot of my classmates that missed the introduction thought it was a new Iron Maiden album.
Doesn't seem that long ago that we were hanging out in Sr. hall during lunch, when Chris Degarmo's brother came running down the hall with the new EP. A few days later we heard it on the radio.......WOW!!!!! Previously, back in '81, a friend of Chris's had a demo tape that we listened to out on the tennis court.....great stuff! Local boys done good! How about a reaction to another pair of former Bellevue, WA residents, Ann and Nancy Wilson's(Heart) version of "Stairway to Heaven" live at the Kennedy Center? Think Kel would luv this one!

Can you imagine the first reaction to hearing that opening sung note back in '83... what a way to introduce yourselves to the rest of world!?
All 5 of the songs on this ep are excellent. First time I heard this ep, I was a high school freshman; "it hit me like uh... 2 ton heavy thing".
Nice allusion to 'Empire'.
I see what you did there :)
4 songs on the original 1983 EP and 5 on the 1988 reissued CD... I have the vinyl copy with the 4 and the CD with Prophecy added
Aaaaaah, hes a clever one this guy.
Empire!
I'll never forget the first time I saw that video on MTV. One of maybe 5 that just hooked me from the very first time.
Me too.

This is awesome.... The cover is sick, Britney is such a killer singer... you guys rock!!!
Queensryche Neue Regel from Rage for order.

Wow in another of their videos i asked them to do neue regel as well..i think they might do it...its my favorite queensryche song next to the unreleased “from the darkside” from that same album RFO...u should check it out if you havent heard it
Yes, definitely one of the best Queensryche songs.
Another oldie from them - Walk in the Shadows
The song that started everything.
Gotta remember...this was their 4- song EP.
Basically this was their audition for the record company.

Yes, I remember that! And then I found out the guitarist was only 17! WTF?
Cover songs vs. Originals, Awsome! Brilliant!!
Great reactions once again! 👍😀

I still think Mindcrime is the best Queensryche album.
Very impressive considering it was after a live show
The original note is an E (original + UTA cover) while she opens with a high B in that recording! That's more than half an octave higher.
yeah i was about to mention that karaoke performance of Brittney's. absolutely unbelievable that note she hit at the start!! and she held it for so long i swore she would explode. ruclips.net/video/280DRqoGyLw/видео.html&start_radio=1
I was going to reccomend this as well....she was also drunk, lol! She even grabs her beer back after the performance. She's a stunner for sure.
Yeah watch she did at the karaoke bar blows this cover out of the water.
Awesome. Both versions are just freaking awesome.

#Queensryche NM156
The Warning has got some sick gems on it...NM156 has always been one of my favorites.
Hi Rich, yes Geoff Tate was the singer for Queensryche at this time,
the singer for Unleash The Archers is Brittney Slayes
Love the original, and the cover, and the cover just kicks things up several notches, and makes it a UTA speed metal song.
All that insane high speed double kick drumming just launches the cover into the stratosphere.
Holy hell.
Great reaction, as always.

She hits all of Geoff Tate's high notes to perfection.

No one plays it better than DeGarmo
Great to see how you guys adore each other. . . and respect each other's taste in music. . . fun to watch you guys especially experiencing bands like Queensryche and Tool for the first time.
You said it best the studio amped it up more than it could have been when they performed it live in Tokyo watch that video
Awesome 🤘
These two are so. in. love, and it's the cutest thing ever!
Brittney Slays that cover!!
Some useless extra knowledge, Brittney from UTA listed Geoff Tate from Queensryche as one of her vocal influences. So this cover is kind of a nod to that.
there's a live video on youtube of her singing this song at a karaoke bar, check it out.
Just came here to say the same.
Link is easier

I think it's a better performance than the cover version they recorded.
Great cover! She nailed the vox!
awesome band, great singer 😎👍
One of my favorite old bands and new bands. Thank you
Queensryche has always had the best double leads!!! Increadible band, my fav of all time
Thanks for the introduction to Unleash the Archers. Great homage to Geoff Tate and Queensryche.
I was like 20 when this came out (guess my age haha) and I still have the EP. Earshattering!
First off, thank you for playing one of many of my requests. It just hits the spot. Also I like this little wrinkle you did. A reaction/comparison video with a original/cover. Very cool. YES and also the warning
You nailed it Kel,great analysis! #Kel-n-Rich
Love the comparison back to back.
Thank you @phazerboy! We loved doing it ! Makes sense and so much to
Learn and experience. Much love. KnR
Unleash the Archers band has a female vocalist that uses tons of effects on her vocals...
Love Queensryche. This is one of their best for sure. \m/
This original vinyl is one of the hardest to find and buy. 5k Worldwide .
And I had one...then traded it in for a CD several years later.
@@Savatage1964 :( I also trade mine. I had to study..... no more comments about this. Sad decision.
I have this version. In UK
Ooops.....I have two copies - one still in wrapper. Any offers?
Queesryche fan for life, they will play queensryche at my funeral.
Nice touch of the double tap... good to show two versions of the same song. I saw Queensryche with Metallica back in 88' and I like Queensryche, But I like the Unleash the Archer's version better.
QUEENSRYCHE BABY !!!...CRANK IT !!!!
the cover was good, but Queensryche will always own this song performance wise.
To be fair, Geoff Tate is one of the best metal singers ever. A Queensryche cover of this song is literally an impossible task.
No, no it wasn't good. Nice of you to be kind tho.
@@NorthgateLP LIKEWISE! In my opinion, even today's Queensryche "miss the mark" (so-to-speak) when they perform this.
@@AngelofAnguish It just isn't really Queensryche without DeGarmo and Tate.
@@prprod It's clearly quite good. The singer's karaoke cover with the original backing track is better, though.
I dream in Infrared and Neue Regel from Rage for Order will blow you away.
Such an underappreciated band
"TATE AND DEGARMO" doesn't get any better!
Not bad for a song recorded in 1981! I truly think that they were a band way ahead of their time!
The first EP was '83 I think.
Here again 😁🇺🇸🇨🇦

Queensryche has the cutest babies
Please do a reaction to some of King's X early album tracks. The first five albums in particular were amazingly unique. Start with the track Dogman.
To give you a little back story on this song I grew up with these guys and when they recorded this song they gave it the name Queen of the Reich and then said that would be a cool band name so that's how they got their band name queensrych
