So, my question to you is if there is a song I haven’t heard but I should have heard it by now, should I not make a reaction because it would seem ingenuine even though it is completely true?
In not a huge.nirvana fan, but they have some good stuff. I would recommend Lithium. That or more alice in chains! Keep it rockin brotha.
I think you should post your reaction but.... plz react to scars by I prevail
You wanna see something incredible? Check out 1000 drummers playing smells like teen spirit.

This can't be true, that you haven't heard this song, NO WAY!
Agree, i call bulshit haha
like the others "1st time hearing queen bohemian rhapsody "or "1st time hearing (any linkin park songs)"
Right?
This guy is a fraud on EVERYTHING. He calls his videos Hip Hop head's for Click Bait. Cause if he'd called them metal head listening to metal. NOBODY would give a fuck. Plus he says first time listening to Metallica, Nirvana or any of the BIGGEST bands on earth... he's full of shit.
There is no way he is making any money, surely these videos are claimed the second they go up.

That's Dave Grohl my dude. He's an exceptional talent.
I wonder how many people don't know that David Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana before being lead for Foo Fighters.
Kurt called Dave a human metronome!

@Holly Carey I'm 46, born Sept.1973 & yeah I remember the 'mosh pits' of the day. I was only a few of female's who enjoyed the 'mosh pit'. I'm only 5 foot 2 & at the time-110lb, like you I held my own! (I usually knew most the blokes & other gals). Today, I have a 27yr old daughter who has been to more concerts & music festivals, @ home & around the world, than I could ever have dreamt of 4 myself. But she says she's still envious that I was alive when Curt Cobain & Nirvana toured, etc. RIP Curt.
Aryan Bianca I was Born October 73! I had JUST read your reply yesterday before picking up my son from work and on the way home we were listening to Nirvana and he made the comment "I would do anything to have gone to one of their concerts!" I thought about your response! We lost SO MANY INCREDIBLE musicians of that era! Those of us who where able to experience it in its prime prob don't realize how lucky we were!! My 18yr old just got his first tattoo and came home with an Alice In Chains tat! My oldest is 26! We started early didn't we!? I turned 20yrs old 20 days after having him basically grew up myself with him. 😉. Take care!!
So funny, Im 46, 5’1” but never attempted mosh pit, however I did make it to the first Lollapalooza. Damn those were the days. I know I sure smoked a lot of weed and was known for rolling up perfect joints. Lol. Hefner is making me relive those wild years. 🤘🏻

Kurt contain was the originator of the “grunge” sound. He was a genius. His death had a profound effect on many people. My son was in junior high & he went into such a depression that we had to have him hospitalized because we were worried about suicide. He just was so negatively affected. I wonder how many others were affected like my son.
Kurt was far from the originator of the "grunge" sound. The Pixies, The Melvin's, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, Green River, etc were playing "grunge" type music years before Nevermind. Y'all just make up bs.

Thanks for your input, Mike!
Mike Hunt yes
This brings up so many memories from back in the day when this came out and was all the rage on parties and school concerts. I was one of the nerdy kids active behind the scenes. Nobody had a driver's license for a proper car, so the farmer boys helped out, carting around the band's equipment behind a 50's tractor at a staggering 19km/h. Oh, good old days. I still have this song on a 45rpm record, you know, these VINYL thingies.
I was 31 when this came out. We had almost a decade of no decent rock. It was depressing. This song brought real rock back. The main line was “here we are now, entertain us.” We all understood that one and it was perfect. Yes, please. We needed them so badly and this changed everything...for about 13-15 years, then it all died again. Damn. I miss the 60’s, 70’s, 90’s...we need this to happen again.
Ok, Kurt himself requested Pixies, "Where is my mind" is good start!
Where is my mind reminds me of Nirvana. You can see where kurt gets his influence.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise at that suggestion...
Well, that's the thing, the song he is most closely mimicking with this song is Gouge Away.
I literally choked on my cup of orange juice when i saw this notification. I was like how tf has he listened to hammer smashed face but he hasn't ever listened to smells like teen spirit🤯🤯🤯
Congrats man on finally listening to the song that arguably started Grunge. Before this it was all Hair metal, 80’s pop. The only break from that stuff was groups like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More. Bands like that. Then Nirvana came out and other grunge bands like Pearl Jam came soon after. Kirk Cobain unknowingly popularized a whole new movement and I think ultimately the pressure of all the fame is what really got to him. He was one of the biggest musicians on the planet at the time. I was in middle school when Nirvana came out and it change my life forever. Sitting it High School hearing the news of his death on Channel 1 school news. It was devastating. It was crazy how many students were in tears. Anyways, just thought I’d share.
That drummers name is Dave Ghrol. After Nirvana disbanded he formed his own band called the Foo Fighters where he is the lead vocals. They have some real bops, you should check them out. 🙏🏻
Now you can connect to a Foo Fighter (The pretender) song, because the Nirvana's drummer Dave Grohl (Foo Fighter lead singer).
If i remember correctly, the "janitor" was the principal of the school where the clip was taken, and the audience was know the "free concert" a few hour before the begin. :)
I remember the day this song was released. It ushered in an age of grunge music that wiped thrash and glam metal off the map. It was a crazy time. One week, kids were wearing metal shirts, the next week they were wearing flannel.
This song was huge.
That's good I'm glad you're enjoying Nirvana that's my favorite band you should react more of them.
It’s not hyperbole to say that almost overnight this song changed the face of both rock and pop music in the same way the Beatles did in the 60s. The rock charts were filled with bands that dressed feminine, wore spandex, and teased their hair out large like Poison, Motley Crue, and other hair metal bands and this song single handily ended that era of pop rock. Grunge became the biggest thing in the world. I remember at the time this song was like nothing that the masses had ever heard at the time and it took over. Kurt actually had a lot of trouble with how big it got because he didn’t really want the pressure of being a star.
Okay I’m calling this one lol I’ve believed them all till now there’s not way he’s never heard Smells Like Teen Spirit 🤣👍

He does not (usually) play drums in the Foo Fighters, but if you want to see him go mental on it, watch him drum for another great band: Queens of the Stone Age - Song for the Dead from Werchter 2002. This is *heavy.*
Nirvana is a really great rabbit hole to go down. Once you make the jump you never come back
Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench, it's the band where dave Dave Grohl plays guitar and sings in (Dave played drums in Nirvana).
When it’s says ‘with the lights out it’s less dangerous’ it’s more or less means some things are better off kept in the dark rather than being known to everyone
Fun fact: Kurt liked banana pudding, and so do I! We're like brothers! The important thing is he heard and liked the song guys. Alex, ever heard Bush? Check out Little Things, that song still holds up for grunge!
Keep making reactions to whatever you want man. I'll keep tuning in.👍🤘
Dude you should listen to In Bloom by Nirvana. One of my favs
I think "with the lights out, it's less dangerous/here we are now, entertain us/I feel stupid and contagious" is commenting on how Cobain felt about playing gigs, that he didn't feel cool or satisfactory as a human being, rather, that he was bad news and diseased (mentally), hence "stupid and contagious", and he had stage fright, so "with the lights out it's less dangerous" (before the stage lighting is turned on, or in the dark behind the stage), but the crowd don't care how he feels, or sees himself because "here we are, now entertain us".
The Pixies" Where is My Mind" You gotta do it!
