      @@IAmYourReflectionI personally do not know - and I apologize. I do NOT want to mislead you. When I am on the street - I am fairly mellow. Just continue with your research. I would assume so - and they are great on the street - but want you to be safe more than anything. You may want to lean towards a Super Moto tire if you are looking for that kind of performance. I can tell you that they are indeed a true 50/50 tire for dirt & street. You may require something better for the road. Sorry for my reply - but your safety is more important to me than "bullshitting" you into something that is NOT safe.

    Agree that these are great tyres and could very well be the best all round adventure tyres! They perform well in the dirt and are just fantastic in the wet - so good that other friends have swapped to them after riding with me on wet roads. I ride a lot of 2up and go through a back tyre in max 5000kms. But as you say, the front seems to last for ever - I am currently on my 3rd rear tyre with the same front. For adventure tyres, I like the phrase, “good in dirt, good in wet, long lasting - pick two”. I am ok with giving up on a long wearing tyre if I get both “good in dirt” & “good in wet” and they still last WAY longer than a TKC80 anyway.
    Great view!

    GREAT review - thanks! I saw this vid about a year ago and with your suggestion (and others on RUclips) I purchased the Mirtas E07 for my bike (390 lb ADV bike). I have been very pleased so far (about 2500km). We made a trip from Colorado to Utah last October, 2020, about 1/2 bitumen and 1/2 dirt/gravel. Excellent on everything. I did struggle in some deep sand, but so did the high end dirt bikes I was riding with - very deep, fine sand in the Moab area. Thanks again for your vids - always thoughtful and informative. -Ray, in SW Colorado.

    I agree, Pavlin. Mitas 07+ are the best all terrain tires. Good for highway, nice and sticky on curves and in rain. Also good enough traction in dirt and mud. Best of all, long-lasting! My last rear lasted over 12,000 km, most on cement roads that eat through rubber.

      Motorcycle Adventures Thankyou. That’s fine regarding mileage. I’m just hoping they still stick to the road and allow use of the throttle on the heavy R1250gs. I don’t mind tyres moving around on dirt, but like them more planted on the road. Time will tell.

      Motorcycle Adventures After a lot of thought I ended up sending my new E-07+ tyres back yesterday. Two other GS owners, R1200gs and R1250GS, both said the on-road grip was marginal for the big heavy bike. The R1250GS rider showed me a video on his phone through Sydney traffic and under lite to moderate cornering he was losing the back end. Off road he said they were great. He returned to the Conti’s. The other person was a lady and she still has her tyres on the bike but suggested for someone like me who commutes 5 days a week (on twisty roads) and then wants to use the bike off-road on the weekend to get a stickier road tyre.

The Motoz grip exceptionally well on wet asphalt and of course are extremely good offroad. I’ve used EO7, TKC80, and K60. On large Adventure bikes nothing comes close to Motoz. I can’t see why they wouldn’t be as good on lighter, less powerful bikes.

    I ran a set of E07 Dakar front & rear on my F800GS & got 20K MILES out of the set. I loved them so much I bought another set to replace the first set. However, Mitas replaced the original E07 rear with the E07+, so I had no option to use the same rear that lasted 20K miles. I've now got 7K miles on the rear & it's almost done. Disappointing... But maybe I was spoiled in my first set. Did they change the compound on the "plus" to a softer rubber?

    • @motorcycleadventures
      @motorcycleadventures  4 года назад +2

      What I have to say that if the tire last 20,000 miles that is mean that the compound was to hard, or with simple words to much plastic. I will always prefer softer tire for better grip in any situation. Yes, it will be expensive, but how much your safety cost?

    • @suprbst
      @suprbst 4 года назад

      @@motorcycleadventures I agree that the new "plus" version of the rear might be a softer & grippier compound, which is good; however, I never had poor grip with the original. All things considered, I'll likely get another set of the same tire next time, as I love the performance.
      Great review you put up, by the way. I love travel to find great views, especially up in the mountains & coastal cliffs.

    What is it with the these literbike-range of adventure bikes ( africa twin included) in which the damn windshield is basically VERTICAL? This makes no sense to me. It's anti-aerodynamically efficient at higher speeds. YES..I KNOW..these bikes are meant for a good amount of offroad, but some use them for both offroad and interstate highway too.

    My experience running these tyres tubeless on a powerful bike ( ktm1090) has not been great. Had two front tyres, both had problems holding pressure, so they are ok only if using tubes. The rear was a much better tyre. No problem holding pressure, but after 5000 km they started to become slippery and felt unsafe on wet tarmac. Compound is pretty hard so they are long lasting and suitable for warm weather. I really like the design, as it is stable both on tarmac and gravel road, I wish they used a higher quality compound, like th much missed original tourance. They are not the best for a tubeless high power bike, but great for a single cilinder tube bike on harsh terrains in warmer weather. That's my experiences of it

    No, I hate the 07 I really regret getting this road tyre. It is rubbish off road with no edge grip at all. The front tyre gives a huge amount of lateral movement off road. Bottom line is it is a great long distance road tyre. I would much rather choose the Mitas 09 instead. The 09 is a true 50/50 tyre the 07 is more like a 90 road/ 10 off-road tyre.

    • @motorcycleadventures
      @motorcycleadventures  3 года назад

      In my opinion now is way better! It wear faster because it has more rubber than plastic. The lack of center line helps for better traction on the dirt roads. The main purpose of any tire is to keep your motorcycle on the road. Wearing is a part of this process.
