Hi to Denmark. The dynamic range is not as large as we are used to today. With 12 megapixels, you also have little space for cropping. Once you've created a suitable preset, it's easier. But all in all, the images are great for a 2009 camera.
It's like shooting film but Digital. I do the same with my Olympus OM-D E-M5 mk1 and Fujifilm x100T. Just love how Good it still is but with that nice Film look. This Leica looks nice too love the colors and looks of the camera it self.

The old Leica-goodies X1, X2 and XE still perfect cams for streetfotografy. I love them, quality is excellent, APS-C-Frame, to handle with one hand. Great Cams, also in 2023. Not the fastest dudes, means not the best choice for all kind of fotografy, but great cams. im owner of the XE and i never will give it away.....
sorry if Out of topic, but any body have solution for third party leica x1 Battery and Lcd? because my mind, having a vignette on lcd and also just have 1 battery. thank u

Unfortunately, the camera display is very bad, so I often had to check whether the photo turned out well. There's nothing worse than shooting a video and finding out at home that the pictures turned out nothing.

Old cameras already have their charm. You also take pictures slowly and more consciously somehow.

Yes, very nice. Some treasures are worth keeping. If you know how to deal with it, you can still get great pictures today.
