I got my 11' GT stick with 15k miles last year. Got it for around 5 k less than original MSRP. It's amazing to experience the driving adventure of the Coyote and that 7K REDLINE.👍❤
I think buying older cars makes a lot of sense. With everything being so expensive, especially new cars, even if your family makes more than 100k a year, it’s worth buying an older car and doing the maintenance yourself. Just bc it’s old doesn’t mean it’s bad, it was the shit when it came out, just don’t chase the latest and greatest
I have my 2014 GT premium that I bought new. It’s my weekend driver and still look like brand new. I love driving and and shifting gears!! And now is turning heads because of the condition is in! I love it.
I've got a 2014 and put the Tremick trans in mine but it's pretty much stock. I would give it a 8 1/2 out of 10. Yours looks amazing as well 🙏 be safe and have fun
I always thought the S197 Facelift was the unloved ugly middle child between the Pre Facelift and the S550. While the Pre Facelift had the better looks with terrible handling and the S550 doing pretty much everything right. But thats just my opinion of course!
Slowly but surely, I’m gonna start with a 2V,3V or 4V (03/04 Mach1) and then get a coyote years later, just makes more sense to me in my current situation/lifestyle haha
Best aftermarket support of all muscle cars. Also, 2005-2009 Mustangs are also S197, and has a more classic look (subjective), also the stick in that model is a 5 speed tremor. Only over 90% of performance parts work on all S197, motors are different. 2005-2009 has the less desirable 4.6 motor.
Imo I think it’s the best looking gen of mustang and I didn’t even grow up with it so no nostalgia here 😂 It just screams aggressive muscle car while the new ones are more sporty
Stole my damn 14 GT with 39k miles for 6k clean title. Friend wanted the payment gone, so said bet. Im glad I did, I had to sell my yellow 04 GTO previously due to a custody battle that was quite frankly turning ugly quick.
2011 Gt500 is still affordable and I'll take one over a s550 anyday. Feels like the last generation of "Muscle Car" era of the Mustang. Yet still refined but not to refined, I absolutely love mine and everywhere i go get complements. Yes I'll take a Shelby anyday over a run of the mill Mustang.
I have a 370z and im thinking to trade it for one of these mustangs but idk if I'm actually going to enjoy it more than the 370z, I will enjoy the bit of extra space for sure lol
If you look really really hard you can find some affordable S550s. The S650 is out of reach for most folks. So if you want a V8 and have to stick to budget on the purchase, absolutely buy one. I am. Even has the glass roof.
Just bought a 2012 GT Con (yeah its an auto couldnt find a manual) that had 36k miles on it - thing hauls ass and handles great still. Looks like new off the showroom floor inside, outside and under the hood. Zero regrets. For me its all about the too down cruising and hearing that growl.😎
Should you buy a 5.0. aspirated, ready to boost, (but not busted, so it will last), with no turbos (no extra heat or plastics dying inside), no remote "monitoring" (no turning off remotely by anyone) (no insurance primes for the way you drive), no center "infotainment" screen (if the screen fails, the car keeps running), and no software updates? (no blue screen on your infotainment system)? I will keep mine until my son takes it, then, I will get another "old" car, but never an ipad on wheels.
The 2013-2014 model is the best looking Mustang since the 1st gen. New Mustangs are absolutely nuts in terms of performance but damn that last true American style was knocked out of the park.
@@V1Zach Ya I fell it dude, but I don’t think the price is coming down. They’re the last gen of modern muscle car. The latest Shelby is more of a super car. Get at least a GT for sure. In just a few year, anything V8, rear wheel drive and manual transmission will be a thing of the past.
GT is a Coyote, a better platform to build. The 6R80 is very strong and a better fit for boosted dig racing. I much prefer my GTCA to the same year Gt500.
I was fortunate to find a 1800 km 13 Boss, in 17. Pulled the pin and took it home. We really enjoy it, but never thought they'd become as popular as they have. Fun car foresure.
Thinking of getting a 2011-2014 Gt or a 2018-2022 ecoboost towards the end of the year. The ecoboost just because it’s newer and has newer features. They’re both around the same price Range, which one would you recommend me getting?
Mannn those ecoboosts are fun asf. One of my favorite cars ive owned lol. I currently picked up a 13’ mustang gt but something about that ecoboost hahaha paired up with that 10 speed trans maaannnn.
@@tmssmoove1415 way slower?? Absolutely not. They come with 500hp from factory. They're about as fast as a FBO coyote. and that's not to mention their huge modding potential. A CAI, pulley and tune will net you an additional 120ish HP
You really had to say crowd killer? 😅 Seriously though, I'm considering getting one of these cars next year. A 13-14 specifically. I'm currently in an SN95 cobra so I'll have to sell it first.
2013-2014 mustangs are one of the greatest COYOTE 5.0 mustangs. But not best ever. The 65-69 mustangs will always be the greatest, alonge with the terminator cobra.
Ayyy happy early birthday bro, tbh it depends on the car your looking for and the previous owner in my opinion, these cars are good even past 200k but there’s also s197s that end up failing at like 20k miles. I would say look for a car with like 1-2 owners max and with miles ranging from like 40k-70k miles if your thinking of getting a used car and also recommend going through dealership for a pretty nice used vehicle if your going for a Mustang or any car in my opinion, best of luck to you man
S550 Mustangs are now quite affordable since their debut in 2015. If you can stretch your budget, I'd recommend going for the S550 over the S197 unless you're specifically drawn to the looks of the 2011-2014 models. While I do like the aggressive look of the 2011-2014 models, I still wouldn't recommend it over the S550. As someone who's owned a 2007 GT, 2011 GT, 2015 GT, and 2020 GT, the S550's modern tech, improved handling (thanks to IRS), and refined interior make it a clear winner. This translates to a more engaging and dynamic driving experience, especially on twisty roads or the track. Additionally, the newer engines are more efficient. The interior is more refined and ergonomic compared to the S197, boasting premium materials, improved seating comfort, and better noise insulation, providing a more comfortable and enjoyable cabin environment. If you're looking to get either, I recommend test driving both to see for yourself.
I’ve had no issues or problems the only thing is definitely look into clutches if your Mustang has a mt-82 I suggest looking up the best for your set up because I have a super strong McLeod clutch and was too much for the transmission
