I'm a property manager in Canada and since recently, I've just been fascinated by the whole squatter situation in the US. Home owners being arrested trying to get squatters out of their homes, getting murdered even... I just can't imagine 😮. This is crazy. This man is crazy... how can he be a tenant and have tenant rights if he doesn't have any agreement and don't pay rent? He is inadvertently a squatter
In Democrats States they have sanctuary cities, they have laws that give rights to squatters, to get them out you have to go thru court with a civil case, the process it's costly and takes around two years for them to get evicted, police cannot help property owners because is a civil case, I'm lucky I live in Florida, a red State and our Governor Ron DiSantis signed legislation taking squatters rights away, now we just call sheriff and they take them out instantly 😉

Ooh Flash! This squatter in my life decides she doesn’t need to find anything else and she’s not leaving. She had ALL my forks and bowls down in “her” room. I paid two people to pack her stuff up and put it in the garage for her to come get it. Two months later her crap was starting to become odious to me and she wasn’t coming for it, so litttle by little it has gone to the dump. Me, an old lady, took her crap one or two boxes at a time, to the dump. What an expensive lesson this has been. I am glad I am strong.

This has happened in California since the 1970’s. Check out the 80’s movie Pacific Heights - Michael Keaton plays a squatter Matthew Modine can’t evict. In CA it takes about 9 months to evict someone.

In New York to remove squatters is difficult and now they pass the law that you need the real name of each of the squatters to start legal actions, making it very difficult. Squatters are represented by public defenders at the court hearing. Unbelievable. It took 1 year and half to remove 9 squatters from my house, and the house was totally trashed.
Who would ever do business with Adam Fleischman ever again considering the character he has shown throughout this entire situation. It’s so crazy to me this guy would tank his career like this.

It seems no one wants to be around him. He needed a ride to his new residence so he had to HIRE a moving company. Just for a ride. He had a few boxes and bags when he finally left and didn’t need a moving truck. He couldn’t find a single person to give him a ride.

He committed credit card fraud and assault & battery multiple times. He was also committing harassment, at the very least, by entering the bathroom while the other residents were showering. Those are all criminal acts. I don’t understand why the police weren’t involved with those incidents, especially for the battery. He would’ve been arrested for battery and taken to jail. Then he’s out of the house. Change the locks and put his stuff in containers. The court would issue a no contact bond condition on his release. Problem solved

Squatters do not pay rent which constitutes a CONTRACT. IT'S A SIMPLE AS THAT. HE DID NOT PAY DEPOSIT OR RENT AND THEREFORE HAS NO CONTRACT TO LEASE THAT PROPERTY.
