    2L bottle of regular coke is ~800 calories. When he made life changes, he "reduced" this to only 2 bottles which is 1600kcal of pure fructose syrup. So before the intervention, he drank ~3000 calories of soda. Since he was not morbidly obese, it means he didn't take a lot of calories from other sources, so he literally starved his organism from micronutrients.

      last year I was send to the ER by my regular physician - when the ER asked me what the problem might be I could only give very vague answers and point them to the paperwork the family doctor handed me.
      Communication and explanation is a real problem and I believe the issue is that the doctors are just hopelessly overworked and somehow have to manage the patient flow.

    • @gallaieousyehudai12

      From my experience, the distrust of doctors for me is why I do my own analysis. I had a pain that was irregular for my age, I told them where that pain was and when it occurred. They told my parents it was my gal bladder. I didn't trust them, years later after a few pains, I decided to figure out this problem. Instead of wasting money for experts, I did my own research for free. I came to the conclusion, it was inflammation in my pancreas. Knowing the doctors would prescribe terrible medicines, I instead figured out what was causing these inflammations.
      It started in my teenage years from eating junk food, I stopped eating that junk food.
      I stopped drinking those drinks that had those chemicals that inflammated my pancreas. In the mornings rarely it happens, I don't yet know why it happens.
      Eating healthy, like fruits and veggies and drinking water dosent cause it. I don't drink sodas or eat too much junk.
      Considering the doctors gave me adhd medicine when I was very young, and it screwed me up, I never trusted doctors or nurses, and I still don't.
      I don't want to pay a huge hospital bill either.
      Unless the situation is an actual emergency, I don't see myself going to the hospital or clinic willingly.

    Emu's video rings almost true to what i did a few years ago, drank like 3/5 cans a day, then at some point i would get very loose stools, accompanied by a stomach ache, naturally i stop drinking soda for at least 2 days or so, while drinking something else in that time like water.
    Present day i drink alot more water but not close to the daily needed amount
    (5 to 7 16 oz bottles) I don't drink soda as much as i used to as i don't buy the 24 can containers anymore, but only go to the local fast food joint and get a large size, in a sense i suppose i'm limiting my self in a way.
    But now knowing that excessive sugar intake damages nerves and so on, it rings a bell on why sometimes my legs just give out and i tend to trip while walking, and the legs feeling weak, I also have nerve damage from birth called cerebral palsy, it's a weakness in limbs/nerves, now watching this video made me realize i'm killing my self, albeit very slowly.
    There were times i had heart palpitations, body obviously telling my something obvious to cut back on the soda.
    It's crazy how i saw my self being "Hosted" in that video, it was like a swift realization.
    I was like: "Oh shit, that's me."
    Going off tangent here:
    In regards to the workout regimen, i presume you have a fast metabolism, otherwise drinking soda and eating any kind of fast food or not a healthy diet will net you quite a bit of fat.
    I'm kind of in the same way, i don't really workout, i consume probably an unhealthy amount of fast food, and i can eat ONLY pizza for 1 week but still skinny as a twig.
    I'd have to eat til i get sick to even gain weight.
    Last i tried an honest "food buff" to gain weight, it was exhausting as hell, eating like a litteral horse in the morning, when lunch came around, i wasn't even hungry but i still had to stuff my self.
    Just doing that got me 10 kilograms in like 2 weeks or so. It was like a losing war effort.

      Increase meat and get on a universal supplement (AG1, Onnit, etc), take probiotics (Thrive, Onnit), and go on walks every day. Don't eat anything processed (you can have one or two cheat days a week while getting started).
      Skinny people think they can separate exercise from diet because their not fat, but your metabolism varies based off activity. You will not replenish deficiencies if you don't change behavior in conjunction with diet. You also won't feel as hungery without burning some calories. Even if you're not working out, you MUST decrease sedentary behavior and make room in your schedule for more activity. This is why walks are underrated.
      The most important thing is consistency. Make small changes and keep up with them for at least 3 months before adding the next step. It's hard to change habits, but once normalized, everything is infinitely better.

    • @coliax8754

      @@a-my9ql Caffeine has a similar structure than adenosine (witch makes you sleepy). That allows Caffeine to dock to the sensor that detects adenosine and therefore blocks it (it dosent triggers the sensore, but nothing else can dock to the sensor while Caffeine is sitting on it). So Caffeine dosent makes it that you dont see the stacks but more like it slows how fast you gain the stacks.
      Also with time the body starts to build more sensors for adenosine to balance out your daly Caffeine intake . This means that over time Caffeine becomes less effective (and you become resistant to it, so what Asmos says at 26:22 that he feel immune is explaned by this, even tho you cant get a 100% immunity but a high resistance) , however this reversible, if you stop drinking Caffeine you at first get sleepy faster (because you now have more sensors => you gain Stacks faster) but with time the aditional sensor will get removes until you go where you where befor initial Caffeine consumtion.

One doctor obviously cannot get only far out cases, there's no real Dr. House. Case studies are an important part of medical education and are not just spread out on the internet but published in medical journals. There are tons of case studies you can find online too but I'd like to see you try present one like a med student to a journal club full of high schoolers.

    Sounds a lot like when I became diabetic. I was sick for a month and up ever 20 to 30 min going to the bathroom and drinking 4 to 6 2 Liters of sugary soda. It got so bad I was unable to keep any food down and by the time I finely went to the doctors my sugar was so high the doctors were asking me how I was still walking... My sugar was over 700. and for those who don't know that is a crazy high number. 100 is baseline and 200 is high. Of coarse I became fully insulin dependent and had to change my diet. Over the next 10 years I had some ups and downs but I am now on a keto diet and it has been the best 3 months of the last 10 years so far. I still drink diet soda but maybe 1 Liter a day or less. I drink a lot of other fluids also like water with water mixes. Keeping my sugar below 200 these days is way better than it has been.
    For years I was having DKA issues and Pancreatitis issues. About 3 years ago I was in the ICU for 2 weeks and almost died and that sparked my major reform in my habits. I guess I just want to say if you are having any issues like this take it seriously asap or you are in for a hard road. Do what you need to do or you will be putting yourself in a serous situation that is very hard to reverse or impossible if you cant keep focus on the goal.

    unless you have an issue, a lot of doctors tell all their patients that its one of the best they've ever seen.
    They say that so you wont be paranoid. You're fine and that's all you need to know.
    Just like cars will lie to you about being at a certain temperature. Its not as stable and fluctuates but the needle doesnt tell you that.
    Thats on purpose so you dont run to the mechanic for no reason.

    The gamer explanation of how the need for sleep works in the brain, and is mechanically suppressed by caffeine, is surprisingly good. To the right demographic, it's a great explanation.
    I was talking to coworkers recently about how caffeine doesn't actually improve alertness, only suppresses the brain's ability to sense how tired it is, and they weren't getting it. There's so much media / industry propaganda around the incorrect idea that coffee / caffeine gives people energy and wakes them up, that hearing otherwise sounds wrong to people who otherwise either don't know or don't care.

    • @infinitedeath1384
      @infinitedeath1384 10 месяцев назад

      As a gamer, his explanation was simple, and false. All he pretty much said is that you can ignore the debuff after drinking caffeine, which implies that the debuff is still affecting you and that caffeine does not remove the feeling of tiredness. Listen back and you'll find that my interpretation is on point.
      Here's a better explanation. I will call the debuff tiredness. So, when caffeine is consumed, it temporarily reduces the effects of the debuff, up to a certain point. If you've gone 24 hours without sleep, and you then drink 2 red bulls, you will experience little to no effects from lack of sleep, because the caffeine is reducing the debuff's effectiveness. However, once we go past, say, 48 hours, red bulls might remove the symptoms of tiredness and keep you awake, but you will still function as if you're drunk. Slow reaction time, poor memory, loss of focus etc... The caffeine will only reduce the feeling of your eyelids being heavy, however, past 3 days of no sleep, caffeine will not prevent microsleeps.

    • @HappyDragneels_page
      @HappyDragneels_page 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@infinitedeath1384 youre just plain wrong though, if youre already tired and you drink redbull it doesnt wake you up.
      please explain to me the chemical process by which caffeine improves alertness, all it does is bind to adenosine receptors, thats its only function.
      most products like red bull contain many active ingredients such as taurine and b-vitamins to achieve a stimulant effect, the caffeine is just for endurance.

    • @infinitedeath1384
      @infinitedeath1384 9 месяцев назад

      @@HappyDragneels_page I'm absolutely not wrong. Caffeine consumption inhibits melatonin production, which is the chemical that makes you feel tired. Caffeine also works by blocking sleep-promoting receptors in your brain, adenosine receptors you mentioned. One quick google search away. It doesn't just bind, it blocks them, keeping you alert.
