@@JassyPabst honestly, I was very star struck so I didn't say much to them other than I had been a huge fan since 2006. Plus I only got a few seconds with them because there was a line. They took professional photos of me with the band and gave me a VIP gift bag, then they had to keep pushing the line through.
@@directedbyxanderjones8329 Ah one of these "Meet And Greets" xD Where are those times where you could actually talk a couple of minutes with the people haha. But I believe it must have been massive for you!
@@JassyPabst yes it was. I'll never forget it. I usually do have full blown conversations with the band members and I don't even need a VIP ticket. I normally attended underground or small shows where the guys are selling their own merch and chillin at the bar after playing.

Jessie, killer playing on rhythm. You make it all sound so heavy. I could see you in bands like Megadeath, Opeth, Testament, white Zombie, Pantera, and Ozzy. I grew up in the best Era for metal the 70's and 80's and early 90's. The glam metal was great with all the neoclassical shredders. The music you play scares me a bit, yet you seem to be enjoying it. Anyone who can scare people with how they play the guitar is a very technical player. I remember seeing Tommy Bolan and his playing scared me, but I got to talk to him and he was a very down to earth person. Quite normal. People have a lot of misconceptions until they talk to people and find out they are just like us. Showmanship is all an act.

@@JassyPabst Believe me you are there to at least be a rhythm player. I haven't got to see you solo yet. But, rhythm is what drives the songs. The soloing is only around 30 to 60 seconds in most songs unless you are John Petrucci , Eric Johnson, or a Joe Satriani. Those players do entire solo albums. I trained under George Lynch, and even he doesn't do that many entire solo albums like they do. But, he makes all his solos count and fit for the song. I missed one Jeff Beck. He is the one a lot of guitarist flock to to watch him play. He knows so much more technical stuff of using all the modes than most players. I am always trying to improve. It takes a lot of time to keep adding things into your natural playing style. It isn't until months that we can listen back to our recordings and see changes in ourselves. I am always afraid when I hit the record button. I can play very naturally when I know it is not recording. I most of the time just play by myself. I once was up on stage with George and played with him. That was an experience I will never forget. He made me feel like I was a part of the band and that I was doing ok. Even though inside I was feeling very nervous.

It was the second Amon Amarth song I heard after Twilight of the Thunder God and cemented my love for them. You could not have picked a better one. Thank you so much, Jassy! It sounds fantastic!
