Don’t see why more bands don’t do this, as long as you keep the original albums completely available and don’t try to replace it with the new recordings, then there is no harm in doing re-recordings, some people will prefer the newer and cleaner production, and some will prefer that more vintage and messy sound or just enjoy the older versions because of nostalgia
