John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan were both good presidents, but they're both overrated (at least somewhat) IMO. Not the most overrated though, I'd say-that distinction, as unpopular as my opinion would be, goes to John Adams.
"It is no coincidence that our present troubles parallel and are proportionate to the intervention and intrusion in our lives that result from unnecessary and excessive growth of government." One of the best statements he ever made, and timeless.
For the first time in U.S. history the swearing in ceremonies were moved to the West front of the Capitol and Ronald was sworn in while facing the obelisk-shaped Washington Monument. It was a signal to the Jesuits that the ecumenical movement had successfully defeated Protestantism.

You said it perfectly. That is how I will always remember Reagan. He truly was the Great Communicator, because he was able to communicate to the American people how great we were and how great we could be. And he believed so completely that he made us believe it too. That is what made us and him so great. I miss him so much there are times it actually hurts my heart.
What made him so popular was his ability to inspire and bring out the best in everyone. He was not a divider nor did he look to gain relative to other's failures. Strong and steadfast in his beliefs and principles, any true American could not listen to him without being exhilarated and proud. We so desperately need someone like him now.
