I'm the guy that sent in the board :) Wow it never ceases to amaze me just how easy Mainboard Medic is able to find out what the issue is, A true professional ;)
Its crazy that one tiny little part would render the whole board not working, I'm unsure where those marks came from which looked like water marks, as i didn't notice it before, I'm wondering if during the flight condensation formed maybe?...Who knows! I'm just super happy that its fixed and wont become E-waste, Thank you very much Mainboard medic was a pleasure to watch and you're amazing!

Great insight I'm running into an issue with my asus z170 programing board, when I plug in the psu to it there's an led called "sb_pwr" it flickers / blinks,
I searched online people theorized it's the psu so I got a new one and it's still dose the same I tested with another psu the lights stay on but still when I try to jump start it nothing happens, also when I plug the psu in the board is oddly shocking hopefully that'll give you additional clue, my last hope now is to get a new cmos battery and hope it runs
That is the Standby voltage off the powersupply. Probably the 5VSB is shorted. Most commenly its either the SIO or the PCH. On off both should be getting hot on your board!

i have a rog strix board here and the pins in the sock has been damaged it needs to be replaced i understand the concept. but no way of getting the part, id love to send it it but the cost of repairing it was rediculas

Еще как вариант я искал такую материнку потому что в борде не всегда есть эти обвязки микросхемы иногда по другому расположены или на борде все посадочные места заполнены резисторами а по факту надо 2 резистора.

@@MainboardMedic Typically ram be equal size pairs for peak performance. User should read the manual.
