    My dearest Tim,
My husband who has NEVER voted in his life- because he thinks all politicians are assholes and don’t work for the people but for themselves - which I can’t blame him for - WILL BE VOTING THIS ELECTION!
I cook every night for my boys ( my hubby and my son - it makes me happy - I’m a feminist through and through but I love cooking for them )
We listen to the show as I cook. Something has got through to my hard headed hubby and now he is voting.
I asked him why. Why now? He said he can’t stand Trump and worries what he would do and has already done to the people he loves.
So thank you Tim Miller & Friends of the Bulwark News Show! We have another voter!
Who knows - there may be more just like him out there!
As always - thank you for the great show! ❤❤❤❤
    🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
    It’s a happy day!

Ive noticed that JD Vance looks even more angry and unhinged since being selected as VP. His facial expressions now are insane. I live in Ohio. I was in Springfield a few months ago. Ive never heard of anything related to Haitians eating cats and dogs until now. Ive worked with all kinds of different migrant communities and they are some of the most hardworking and responsible individuals. I found them to be more willing to do good work, showing up on time, agreeable, solution driven than the folks who have lived here all their life. I lived in Dominican Republic, not far from the Haitian/DR border and I will tell you that the folks have come from unbelievable poverty and suffering. I welcome them to Ohio.

I see JD Vance’s psychological decompensation too. He is in Trump’s malignant orbit 24/7 now. To someone of JD Vance’s susceptible psychology, his mind is being poisoned by the Trump contagion.

Listening to you and the variety of hosts and guests on the Bullwork, tells me that despite our political differences we really have so much more in common than not... And it's not merely that we are for democracy and anti-Trump. I would actually like to see some permanent alliances created from our realizing our commonality and perhaps the Bullwork can be a part of that, if not now,, hopefully after the election. There's a lot of work to do building a sane democracy together. Let's do that together. Thanks to you both

My grandmother came to Los Angeles from Japan when she was a baby during the 1900s. When the pet eating racial slur surfaced in the 70s, she told us about it being directed at her and her family in the 1910s. A Chinese friend of the family confirmed that the slur had been around for a long time and applied to Chinese immigrants and Chinese Americans.
I suspect the racist allegation goes back to the initial waves of Chinese immigration to the U.S. (during the California Gold Rush and the building of the railroad) and the “Yellow Peril” hysteria that followed. Trump, Vance, and maga are tapping into the same fears that spurred violence, discrimination, and racist laws against Chinese immigrants and Chinese Americans. Mobs burned down Chinese enclaves in West Coast cities, Chinese people were robbed, homes and businesses were looted, and hundreds of Chinese people were lynched or shot.
“Haitian immigrants eating pets” is a play in the white supremacist play book. It’s an opening gambit and a call to arms. Trump and Vance might not know all the history, but people like Stephen Miller and Laura Loomer do.

There probably are some values/morals every human society agrees on, but which animals you can eat (or if you should eat any of them at all) is not one of them. You're not more 'civilized' just because eating rabbits (which btw are pets in many families) is acceptable, but not eating cats.
