You have forgotten or missed the point that the cabin is supposed to be fully food stocked and it is a specialist get away spot so probably all the water heating & pipes would have been insulated against freezing as no rental clients would want the old fashioned freezing type cabin. It is a modern get away cabin not a 1950's one and yes even in modern times there still are many places where frustratingly no mobile bars ( certain parts of my own house one of them 🤣🤣🤣) are found on the mobile phone.
