Wow!! This plugin is amazing.. Very musical. Having used a E , G I can tell you this does what an SSL does to your tracks. And, that they just sit right and the width .. I'm jumping in and purchasing this... Thanks..

I've been using this plugin for a couple weeks now. I'm loving it. It reminds me of the IK Multimedia "White Channel" (which i love to use- its aother emulation of the SSL 9000) in its use.
But this one has a nicer GUI and has functions like the real hardware and more.

yeah..great plug..i notice a lot of hip hop producers are using this now because of its clarity and musical low end...i can't get away from the lindell 80...i love the sound....so i have either ssl e or lindell 80 on all my tracks

I've tried their E & G consoles and didn't care for them. Too muffled and not enough definition to my ears. Preferred the Waves. However, this 9000J sounds much better. Much better clarity and punch. I will have to demo this. This hasn't been on sale yet, so it might happen this month and closer to BF. Down to $49 and then $25 with my voucher, I can totally see myself picking this up. Also, looking forward to hearing their API offering in the works. Nice review and quick mix Dave!

Hui, that's a big difference of before and after. It seems to be better than the just the sum of the parts (single buses). I feel, that something additional happens when you some all buses together. But it's just a feeling.

Hi Dave, I am a new sub and have been so impressed with all of your reviews! I just purchased the SSL uc1 and uf1 and I am using SSL 360 inside Luna. This plugin really sounds great. How do you think it compares to SSL's versions of their channel strips?
All the SSL channel strip plugin sound the same, pretty much so dont waste your money buying different brands version.

Agree.....very good plugin. I have it! Question------I noticed that you had the SPLIT button ON for the drums and piano. Any reason for that on those two buss channels? PS....I have a number of your courses, all good! Also because you use Studio One Pro, and so do I. I get more out of courses and YT Vids when the instruction is with the same DAW I use.
I dont remember honestly. This video is quite old.
Love this one on trap-style beats. I still kinda prefer the 4kG on the more "dusty" boom bap vibes, though. Anyway you go, it's hard to go wrong with any brainworx emulations

Have you tried Amek 9099 on trap beats and compared it to 9000j. If you look that producer mixer list on PA site who use Amek 9099 it is trappish.

Hello. Thank for your great/free courses. Ive subscribed and watched 1 of 2 vids and really appreciate your teaching and mixing technique. It really turned me onto some cool methods I will try now moving forward! (mainly how important it is to eq each drum mic together with the previous one just ed'd!). Btw, Ive subscribed. I would like to ask if I may your reason on choosing the Focal Solo B6e Monitors? Just because Ive made my mind on getting Focals after 2 years on Genelecs! (no mids.... ughhhh). I have been a Focal users for at lest 10 years and I just love how smooth they sound, especially the top end. I have no issues with my mixes translating outside of the studio

What are the meters doing? They don't seem to be showing left and right levels, because the left channel is reading a lot lower than the right. Seem like a great sounding plugin.

Would you need to use a tape plugin to give saturation if you're using the THD, or is it not really necessary? Thank you!
Tape is a completely different type of saturation. Do you "need"....no you dont need to do anything. try stuff, experiment see whats sounds best to you.
How can we exactly use this as a sidechain for a different channel?
I dont use the side chain so I can answer that, sorry

Yes, SSL says inspired by the 9000 K.... so it should be the same console. The difference between Brainworx and SSL would be interesting. There is unfortunately very little information
Does this do the same thing as the Waves NLS or McDsp AC202?
