I think Stephens's background as a RB, as well as his athleticism really helps with his change of direction. Because he is such a smooth athlete. His hip flexibility, footwork, and smooth transitions are excellent. So proud of his growth. Love the breakdown coach!!
The best part about this is I’m pretty sure he was supposed to play safety this year but had to switch because of the injuries at CB. At least that’s what I remember them saying during the off-season.
Steven's is the main reason for our defensive success this season he's really stepped u Up and made what we thought was going to be our weakness this year a strength. I'm not super surprised because I have been saying even last year brandon never gets cooked he always been right there just never played the ball, he's always been sticky never seen someone get messed on as much as Stephen's but this year he's been able to get his head around and play the ball, all our dbs have been insane this year every one of em has stepped up at one point or another and made big plays for us, when we get fully healthy in secondary it can be scary have option of having geno Marcus in backfield Hamilton in box and nickel then Marlon and Stephen's outside, if we just had a game wrecker at edge which hopefully oweh can be if he don't get banged up , he's showed glimpses this defense looking toughhh
YEAH! It's pretty cool when a 'trial by fire" has this type of outcome. Last year he was basically thrown into the deep end because of injuries (story of our lives atp...) and just had to go thru the gauntlet basically, and was targeted because he was seen as the "weak link" But he learned from it...saw many routes, what response was successful and what responses failed, saw what he can get away with, how to use and trust safety help over the top and basically had a 3 year career balled into 1...and came out on the other side the better from it. He is now battle tested and ready to roll, plus another year in the mad wizard's defense also helps him play faster. All the young guys that were thrown in the deep end last year are now clicking on all cylinders (B.Steph, Kyle Hamilton, Oweh, Madubuike0 So i'm guessing this is where all Rock's snap counts has gone to? Does Rock Ya-sin even get on the field much? Because it looks like even Maulet plays more than him...and he's 30... Is Rock injured, or is this just him being straight up out performed?
When I seen that play at 11:45 live was like man Brandon Stephens is elite, more times than not dbs gets beat when the wrs does that move cuz they over pursue especially a fast wr, but Stephens settle his feet and knew the counter was a possibility, man he’s playing great🔥
Brandon Stephens made a huge mistake late in the 4th quarter.im not sure if he had boundaries our if his zone just so happened to drop towards the boundary but he left that area of the field to cover a crossing route that maulet already had covered leaving that area of the field vacant allowing the Cardinals TE to make a huge catch which led to a late fourth quarter TD,I also believe it was on a 3rd and long or 3rd and short.
I noticed him mention that the right cornerback has been Marlon’s position. So other than the technique being flipped what is the difference between the left and right corner? Does one usually play different than the other?
Not gonna lie...i was skeptical of brandon stephens during last season. He was being targeted consistently and kept getting beat. But he has def proven me wrong and kept improving and playin at a high level. Apologies number 21
I always like that the Ravens seem to develop players pretty well. This guy is a prime example.
Dude ran a 4.44 40. He fast. Ravens fan were so mad we drafted him. Turned out to be a steal.

Great point. I agree.
I always liked him. Even last year, when he was targeted successfully a lot, he was always right there.

You are absolutely correct my boy 💪
I think you're right. Wow.
