Its just amazing how many people share the same feelings and experience with this ending. Like, most of us were children and a lot didnt even watch the show, but we all felt touched by this song and the beautiful illustrations. We were too young to know what nostalgia was, and yet we felt it when we listened to this. And years later, we come back to it, and the memories and feelings are still there. It feels... nice. I've always loved this ending and the 2nd one. Instead of showing imagery of the show from a different perspective, it goes for this more symbolic imagery of sci-fi and fantasy with the highlight being the maidens have an elegant yet bittersweet expression. And the songs having a more somber feeling- less so for ending 2- than the bombastic opening. So this is a tune I still him to this day, just sitting about and I hum this. I haven't watched outlaw start in many many years, yet this ending sticks around lol music is a powerful thing. Hell I'm thinking about watching it again as I'm typing this.
This unlocked a hidden memory in me
I just randomly looked this up. 94-2002 was my childhood. I saw so much and was amazed by all of it. Toonami, WWF, Sports, Rap & R&B along with so many talented actors and actresses making their 1st appearance on tv and the big screen and I remember it all listening to songs like this.
I have been humming this tune to myself for like 20 years and only now found this again haha thanks Cartoon Network
Id never seen art like this, or heart music like this. I was hooked, I couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. So special to me still
This song still sends chills down my spine and makes me feel an over whelming sadness caused by remembering the show, some of the episodes T^T i can't even, like the episode where the younger brother makes a friend but doesn't know she was hired to destroy his ship and kill all crew on it, and she didn't know he was on her hit list, the episode ending with him waiting for her not knowing they had just had a space ship fight to the death and he had unknowingly killed her broke me as a child.
A song that's good at making you cry right at the end
My very first Akino Arai song. I fell in love with this lady's voice immediately!
Nostalgia of watching this show late on Toonami while playing Halo 2 at the same time.
All in my feelings 18 years later 😂 can’t beat the classics
Rorouni Kenshins opening and Outlaw Star's ending have to be two of the best songs of all time.
Oh the memories of my childhood loving Toonami and stay up late for the anime. Love it so much 💕
Still here remembering this song. Man does nostalgia hit hard.
Just finished the series yesterday, I had to give this show a standing applause when I was done watching it.
Life changing series.
There was an instrumental version of this song with the harmonica that played during Hilda’s death
You mean Loneliness? If it has the same melody I never noticed.
@@OutlawMantis yes it always reminded me of the sad outro of the show, glad i was able to watch it since it seems not a lot of people give it the love it deserves
Most beautiful song ever recorded
2022 still love this I love anime how it motivates me
My coworker put me on this and this song made me cry so hard and remember what's good
Ben a long time, I still remember this song. Outlaw star is such an amazing classic! ^.^
Yeah it was a great show. The memories
25 years later and it gets even sadder than I remember
Love that B minor chord in the beginning
I love the art in this, it influence me greatly in high school..the music is a plus
😱 thank you for posting this.
That violin makes me feel something crazy
I love this ending so much
This song before bed as the show ended, got me through some rough times growing up. I was a teenager when it first aired on Toonami now here I am nigh 40 and it still lives rent free in my head. Melfina and Aisha were my first waifus
This song is so soothing. I'll never get tired of how it makes me feel.
Only regret is kids wont wake up at 3am to hear this play on a late night's 😢
I still remember my moms old boyfriend's tapes that he made for her of this anime.
I swear I remember rewatching them over and over, and always listening to the ending song.
I watched them more than she did, and I don't even have fond memories of the guy.
Jesus fuck I must have been like 6/7 years old at the time, no wonder I have a penchant for catgirls.
Employee working on Outlaw Star: Bossu! The anime is due to premier in 5 minutes and we don't have any footage for the ending credits!
Boss: Fuck it.
I remember staying up watching this...brings back good memories.
I really like the images all showing different space scenarios. Really cool
Holy shit. I fucking hate anime, but I've had this song in my head for like 20 years. I knew it was from an anime, and I knew I heard it on Toonami when I was in middle school, but I had no idea what to look for. I can't believe I finally figured it out. Great tune.
