I have never seen an opening with such a good song. No matter how many times I listen to that, the chills keep coming. I don't think I have ever seen an opening with such a good song. Fix me if I missed something, but I think that the song of this opening is easily the best.
oh man... This is my high school days man... Also, this anime is the reason i love creepy Halloween theme animes/ cartoons and one of the reasons I'm inspired to be an animator.
There is a very specific, yet in practice vague way to appreciate the camera work, music, and pacing of this intro. Like when she says "I'm falling, deep into my shadow" if you can make yourself feel something, to be moved by the sensation without description that comes from how those words are said and how they visuals play alongside those words, you just get spirited away something magical.
It’s because the chord change. Even if you’ve never noticed it before, the chords enhance that part of the melody a lot. The chord change adds a twist to it that makes it pop out and stand out from the rest of the chorus, making it sound more epic and making the melody sound better harmonically with the rest of the song general.

Seriously? The ending to the manga was just as terrible as the anime's ending was. It was just less sudden. There was some cool stuff between where the anime derailed from the manga's plot and where the manga ended, but the ending itself was certainly NOT a highlight.

I feel for you, i had to move away from ny friend group years ago, they were the only friends that were just as nerdy as I. I think about her alot we may have both been cringy teens but it was the most fun I have ever had before.

Seriously? The ending to the manga was just as terrible as the anime's ending was. It was just less sudden. There was some cool stuff between where the anime derailed from the manga's plot and where the manga ended, but the ending itself was certainly NOT a highlight.

I watched the anime as a kid and recommended it to someone and they laughed in my face after the first episode. I never talked about it again for years. I'm thankful for all the people taking time to appreciate this show with a comment. I picked up the manga last week but now I wanna rewatch the show first, then continue from there.

I really miss Soul Eater. I love the art style and songs. Its definitely one of my favorites. My 2nd favorite anime to be exact, and it was my first for quite awhile. I tried watching Soul Eater Not but it just wasn’t the same. It deserves more credit and more comments about the actual show than just memes.

Highly underrated intro, anime, and song. This song popped up on my shuffle when I was playing music at work. Saw it when i was young. I’m 27 now. This was a masterpiece when I saw it the first time. Still is.
