    The sun revolves around the galaxy which revolves around the universe. Yes, from our frame of reference the sun is stationary, but fro the frame of reference of the Milky Way galaxy the sun is moving.

      Exactly. This is also Kufr to say that the sun isn’t moving as Allah says:
      وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ
      And it is He who created the night and the day and the Sun and the moon; all in an orbit are swimming. Surah Anbiya 21:33

    @vol94 8 месяцев назад

    Why's everyone knocking on the example, it's really good. Think about it, the throne of Allah is above all seven heavens and according to a hadith (I think in Bukahri tho I am not sure) it takes many hundreds of years to cross one of the skies to the next one. So it's not like the sun literally takes some thousand years to go prostrate below the throne before returning to the earth. You can say Allah quickens the process, but if the sun leaves the earth for even a second, we would expect a global night, which is impossible. The Quran itself says Allah coils the night and day around the earth and neither can overlap the other. So the only option left if you're gonna take a literal approach, is to say that arsh is below the earth, which is absolutely wrong and contradicts mutawatir hadith. Therefore, the only way to avoid clearly absurd interpretations that conflict with Quran and sunnah, is to make tawil.

    Salam Sheikh,
    I think it's a tad bit unfair when you are a hyper realist when it comes to this subject but when you were speaking about Khidr in an earlier video it comes straight out of "Kashf." When the sun prostrates under the throne of Allah the Prophet is not lying (Not that I am accusing anyone of saying he is), and it could be he meant many things by this but on it's surface one should rest assured that the sun is indeed prostrating and does in fact move as it states in the Quran
    وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ ۝
    The sun runs to it's appointed destination, that is the decree of the most powerful most knowing.
    The prophet explained this Ayah stating
    مستقرها تحت العرش، تسجد تحت العرش لربها عز وجل ذاهبة وآيبة بأمره سبحانه وتعالى
    It's appointed destination is beneath the throne of it's Lord 'Az wa Jal and obeying His command
    How this happens falls under Ghayb
    Al Didu explained that the realm of Ghayb doesn't fall under our laws of physics and time.
    I'm not saying this is Qat'ee nor would I go so far as to make tabdee' on anyone who disagrees, but I do believe it's weird when you open the door to Ghayb for things that have no real athar and make backdoors for things that seem impossible to you based on your convictions and close doors on things that are seemingly explicit and have a thousand ways to be explained befitting to your intellect if that's what you desire.
    I on the other hand am willing to accept that there are things about this dunya and reality that are seemingly inexplainable, and will place more importance on the Naql than Aql.
    Just ask Dr. Ali Atiyeh what he thinks on the subject, but that delves into the realm of conspiracy : )
    WaSalam Alaikum WaRahmatAllah WaBarakatuh
    Side Note, as for the movement of astrological bodies, I reference inertial frames and point of references. At a certain level conjecture overtakes prove-able reality, but that's a different discussion.

      @uthmanqureshi6534 11 месяцев назад +1

      In the video, he is not making a judgement of whether the ayah needs interpretation or not, but rather that it is possible that there is an interpretive secondary meaning since there is a seemingly physical contradiction. As opposed to the Khawarij who believe that no verse or nass is ever open to interpretation.
      Likewise in the video about Khidr A.S he clearly stated that these are not credal beliefs but it was a personal belief based on the experience of others that he does exist.
      Hopefully that clarifies things inshallah.

      It is not about strength of transmission. It's about internal consistency. If the zaahir is impossible, then it requires ta'weel. Ta'weel is a sign of accepting the narration and understanding it properly, as the Prophet ﷺ did not speak in contrary terms that demand our intellect to accept contradictions.

    • @YemeniteYokel
      @YemeniteYokel 11 месяцев назад

      @@SafinaSociety I agree. I don't want to dive into tangential conjecture. About the Khawarij, do the Asharis have a different cirterion for determining who is Khawarij? I was always told that they are the ones who make takfir of non-mukafir sins and wage war against Muslims while allying with the kuffar, and that the deed that seals the deal is actual murder, anything shy of that they are to be given the rights same as any other Muslim?

    I find this rather bizarre, equating the kharajites with the literalists. Kharajites are motivated by politics, you only have to look at the history of the original kharajites sects. Do you really think an Ibn Hazm or an Ibn Mughalis, if they were alive today would subscribe to the extremists ?

      There politics isn't the only characteristic nor is it the most important feature of the ideology of the kharijite. There extremism in every aspect of the religion and their literalist interpretation of the Qur'an is their sole defining feature. What was the reasons they gave as to why the rebelled against Ali RA, and what was their arguments against him when he was debating them and trying to reconcile them to his cause.

    This speaker is not a smart guy. He says when the sun sets, it prostates. How does the sun prostate? Does it has upper or lower part? Allah says in Ayatul Qursi that Qursi encompasses the earth and the heaven. No matter where the sun remains, it is always encompassed by the Qursi just like it does not matter whether we prostate Allah on the first floor or second floor of the masjid.
