Are there other groups in 1400 years of history of Islam that exhibited the same characteristics? I can understand that there was not enough time to elaborate on this in khutba, but can you please point me to some other lecture or blogs of yours where you talk about history of extremism in Islam? More specifically killing innocents , calling other muslim kafirs and considering there life and wealth to be halal.. Is that only an ISIS thing ? Haven't Saudis/Salafis done the same in Hejaz and Najd 200 years ago? Didn't they kill thousands of civilians in early 1800s in Karbla? Can you please elaborate if ISIS the only manifestation of Kharjites? Or is this part of a bigger movement that started 250 years ago? The only knowledge this brother has is the same we all get from news media, internet, and PERHAPS "someone who may know someone who said such and such.." Are there other groups in 1400 years of history of Islam that exhibited the same characteristics? I can understand that there was not enough time to elaborate on this in khutba, but can you please point me to some other lecture or blogs of yours where you talk about history of extremism in Islam?
More specifically killing innocents , calling other muslim kafirs and considering there life and wealth to be halal.. Is that only an ISIS thing ? Haven't Saudis/Salafis done the same in Hejaz and Najd 200 years ago? Didn't they kill thousands of civilians in early 1800s in Karbla? Just to be clear, I am not an ISIS supporter and don't subscribe to their fanatic ideology. I just want to learn more about history of fanaticism in Islam.
Bottom line is no matter who is killing for what ever ideology they have its wrong and not in line with Islamic teaching... We can sit and debate all day and night behind the reasons but killing innocent civilians no matter what political or religious point of view they hold is wrong and un islamic and as a muslim I am appalled.

The only knowledge this brother has is the same we all get from news media, internet, and PERHAPS "someone who may know someone who said such and such.." That is not the criterion of truth as evidence in Islam. This brother is obviously deluded.
