We will have to see if Joscelyn can out perform Jade of that Floor/vault specialist!!!
If what USAG is looking for is THREE/ FOUR allrounders and two/one specialist(s) and Skye is in the top 3/4 most times, especially at the US championships and Trials, how will she not make the team? If her previous inconsistency at international meets means she will NEVER make the team then what will be the justification of inviting her to any of the upcoming meets or camps?
Not sure why Kaylia Lincoln is in this conversation but not Jade Carey. Carey would be a medal finalist on floor and vault. It was a mistake to leave her off the world championship team last year. The USA barely beat Brazil and would have lost without Biles floor routine. You have at least two Italians and two Brazilians on the competing teams who can put up high scores. Depending on Simone and four other girls who aren’t strong in anything this quad (outside of shilese ‘s bars) would be a poor strategy for Paris.
@@leykimayriand I believe jade would have gotten it together by worlds- we will never know. Champions have a way of rising from the dust and hitting when the time comes. It amazes me how the domestic judges don’t like Jade yet she consistently outperforms with international judges. And yes, Jade has improved her artistry since Tokyo so I don’t see the big deductions coming on floor for her if she makes Paris. Unfortunately I see a big drop in the quality of gymnasts coming out of the USA since the karoli’s left. How did our juniors team do in jesolo 2024- did we even send a juniors team to jesolo last week? I see some very strong juniors from Japan, France and a few others but not USA. Something needs to be fixed and we should start with sending a competent team other than a team that barely squeaks by the second place finisher. And btw you do realize Suni fell at trials and nationals before going to Tokyo but still won the AA medal. USA probably would not have medaled if Suni was left off the team because she fell and Simone pulled out of competition.
@@nicoles9077 The reason for the trials isn’t to give a second/third/fourth chance to champions but to see who is READY. Jade had multiple falls in every single meeting, of course she did NOT deserve to go to the world championships and become a member of the national team compared to the other gymnasts who performed better than her. The decision was right, end of story.
@@nicoles9077 I’ve never claimed Joss is a good gymnast. However she gained her place . And there is no agree to disagree when it has to do with FACTS. Jade screw it up, she had multiple falls and she did NOT deserve to be on the team. End of story
ME TOO!! I think Jade is secretly working on her routines vault and floor in particular and she will bring it next time she competes. I soo want her on the team. She along with Simone will give the US the advantage it TRADITIONALLY has had over the years after the first rotation. This was lacking at last year's WC and in TOKYO.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 per commentary in NCAA she is training Amanar and Cheng on vault, and she will have a "new" pass on floor (not known if it is just new for her or an unnamed skill). It will be interesting to see her routines next week but we might not see full upgrades yet.
I dont think it's either Gabs or Suni..if both consistently hit clean 6.5+ D score bars then they're both in..theres also a clear obv marketing reason to have both w Simone..then w Shi in..putting US team for first time ever..bars heavy..I think the fifth spot is one who has second vt for VT EF..that's either Jos/Jade/Jordan/Leanne/whoever has 2 vts.. Skye is in if Gabs flops..but I see Skye and Kaliya and Jos as stars for next quad
I don't think Kaliya will make the team. her floor is amazing but she doesn't really bring much in the other events. with Skye I don't know if I would trust her to hit beam. and with Simone, Shilese and Suni/Gabby they would have beam covered
With this team the only weak spot in TF would be having to count Suni/Skye’s floor. Vault is already covered with Simone Skye and Shi, and the 4th spot in QF would go to Suni for AA. Kaliya’s floor with the Moors and Front Full + Full-in can easily score mid 14 internationally giving her a high chance of a medal. Jordan, Jade, Josecelyn etc will hit low 14 at best. Not to mention Jade/Josc’s Cheng won’t score that much higher than Shi’s DTY and they would both likely be 2PC’d from vault EF by Simone and Skye. (Unless Jade has her amanar)
@@tired4748 There is still one Cheng + FX spot. That can be filled by Jade / Jordan. GIven that the USAG wants three Chengs, FX alone can hardly be an argument for a spot. Shilese, (FX/VT), Simone will cover floor.
@@--julian_ I never said she wouldn’t but the score difference won’t be enough to warrant her going considering Kaliya can outscore Jade on floor by over 5 tenths
Outside of Shi and Simone, I cannot call this team for the life of me lol. Maybe Suni with her insane new routines and of course being the current AA champion. But other than that, it's going to be really close!
What have you seen from suni to justify putting her on the this team. A bar routine she fell twice on that would’ve only had a 6.0 if she hit, competing 4 beam routines and falling on 2/4 without a D dismount, no floor routine, and struggling a DTY forcing her to compete a FTY.
If Suni is healthy and able to compete at the level that we've seen from her in the past, then I think that she is a reasonable option for the team. But her being healthy is critical. And yes, she has to hit her routines. She's got zero margin for error. If at Nationals she is able to compete in the AA and finishes in the top five, there will be an argument for having her on the team. But she has to be at least as good as she was back in Tokyo.
She was in a similar situation at the start of 2021, then peaked at the perfect time for Olympics. If she can do that again and put out strong beam and bar scores at nationals/trials I think she definitely has a good chance for the team.
@@gymlandia4467 I'm litteraly Gabbys biggest supporter if she can show any of the stuff she's shown in her training vids in competition she would 1000% be on my team shes an olympic champion, 2 time Olympian and has shown she can hit under pressure...I know sunis health hasnt been great but the routines she's shown have potential even if she flopped them, and she seems like she's working back to full strength from the recent training vids. I don't think she should be counted out this early in the season :)
Love this construction! Seeing what Skye can bring on vault would be key to this happening. If Gabby truly has a Cheng and a good beam set, she could also film that spot. Excited for more competitions around the corner!
Thank you, Ragan, for putting these videos out. I look forward to them. And I always agree with you! This is the same team I have wanted for a couple of years now. It's definitely my dream team.
@@mariahazcueta3621 You might be correct about Kaliya, but I am sure Chellsie is preparing her to peak and dominate at the right moment, even if that is at 2025 Worlds.
@@JoshuaFazeli I see it next quad for sure. I think this year is too much pressure and she needs a bit more time. I also see a ton of potential for CaMarrah next quad too.
Simone and Shilese (baring injuring) are the only locks for me. If Jade has her Amanar and Cheng on Vault, full difficulty on floor with minimal artistic deductions, and a beam that is good enough for qualifications, I think she makes the team. Everthing else is too unpredictable.
No, unfortunately. At first I hated that there's no individual spots because someone like Zoe or Konnor could really benefit. But at least they get 5 team spots, not 4 like last time..
there won't be additional specialists this time, but with the addition of an extra team member and still keeping the 3 up/count format (which i hate, it should be 4 up/count), i wouldn't be surprised if they took someone (only 1) who was exceptional on 2 events and middle of the pack on the other 2, esp. considering you can put (healthy) simone/shilese up on every single event. that being said, we've had a main team member go down at the last minute at 2 of the last recent major events so we always need strong all arounders since anything can happen.
Does anyone just not feel very excited by team USA this year? Aside from Simone and Shilese, I don't really feel like any of the gymnasts stand out like past olympic cycles idk
I will be disappointed if they'll put Josc on the team. There's so much more girls better than her. I feel like it will be a thing just because she's from the same gym with simone
You and I are on the same page! Simone, Shilese, Skye (with a Cheng), Suni (in form), Kaliya. Curious how Jade will respond to a lackluster 2023. I feel the judges may be over her lack of artistry though. And I wonder if Konnor has been training competitive elite routines and will come in as an assassin. It's going to be the most amazing lead-up to an Olympics for gymnastics ever. I can't wait.
it always seemed sexist to me that the women get jusged so harshly on 'artistry' but the men don't... despite them both being 'artistic gymnastics'. And it's so subjective... and to put more of an emphasis on ballet type dancing versus the insane skills these gymnasts can execute is baffling to me lol.
*1.* Skye NEEDS a solid cheng if she wants to FIGHT for a spot, otherwise she should not be an option. AND needs a lot of consistency on bars/ beam. Her scoring potential ISN’T that high and her historic on delivering on her best event internationally isn’t that good at all. *2.* Kaliya is only an option IF (and only if) Skye has a solid cheng, one (or both) of Gabby/ Suni is out of contention AND Jade doesn’t bring/hit a really competitive floor. *3.* If Gabby has a cheng (which she’s been training!!!) and hit her other 3 and Suni simply hits her bars/beam, then ITS TERRIBLE NEWS for Skye: her chances are zero bc those two, in this scenario, are certainly on the team! *4.* At least two members from The Selection Committee want to have THREE CHENGS in TF. So with that in mind Kaliya chances (even with a cheng from Skye, since they kinda complement each other) are practically zero. The spot for VT/FX (absolutely necessary if Suni only does UB/BB) is Jade’s to lose atm. After all, her CONSISTENT cheng is the second best in the country (until now, that is) and she’s the freaking reigning Olympic champ on fx -most likely will come with a very competitive routine (and we all know she actually scores better internationally), not to mention her dependability. Joscelyn is simply not as great and we still need to see if Jordan will be able to do an amanar or cheng. If so AND with a consistent upgraded fx, she’ll be fighting with Jade. If not, Jo is not an option. *5.* If Kayla upgrades her FX (and continues to hit the other events) she might have a higher chance to make it than Skye and Kaliya TOGETHER.
@@JoshuaFazeli Amanar was +0.7 in 2012 more than DTY. Now Cheng is +0.6 more than DTY. Vault is still the most reliable event. I don't think Simone is going to do Biles 2.
LOL I quit watching this 45 seconds in. You seriously think Skyefall is at the top of the pack?! And that Kaliya is one of the best of on floor?! Did you miss that yesterday, she as only THIRD on floor yesterday of the D-team American women/ girls who were sent to Jesolo Trophy?!
Kayla won Winter Cup AND Pan Am. Consistency and confidence. Leanne Wong just won NCAA Bars and 2nd AA. Trinity Thomas has 2 Honda Awards and tied most 10s ever. 28. She's looking good too minus little step back out on floor at Winter Cup. Agreed on Simone and Shilese but these three are all solid and peaking at the right time.
I would put Jade on the team instead of Skye... Skye showed her inconsistency during the last two world championships (falling during beam EF in 2022 and beam QF in 2023). Jade is much more consistent and can easily qualify for vault finals and possibly floor finals. Kayla DiCello is also a strong contender for the team especially since she won the all around at the 2023 Pan Am Games. *I am unsure about the preparedness of Jordan Chiles and Gabby Douglas* My team right now would be: Simone Biles Shilese Jones Jade Carey Sunisa Lee Kayla DiCello Alternates: Leanne Wong, Skye Blakely, Kaliya Lincoln
All are good to me, I know they will be competing each other and the world top best. Wishing all the best, good health, and excellence. USA is proud all of you..Be safe and bring home the bacon! Go USA!
I think Kayla absolutely gets the spot based on the fact that she's a solid all arounder and could be used on any event. After 2021 and what happened with Simone, I think they're always going to want someone like a Kayla or Leanne that they could put up anywhere. Someone who has proven consistency and difficulty on every event. Suni's variable health status also warrants having someone like that on the team, in my opinion. My team right now is Simone, Shilese, Kayla, Jade and Suni/Gabby (a bars specialist who could maybe do other events).
Gabby is coming for an AA spot with a very strong vault and a high 14 to low 15 bars. If Suni can bring a high 14 bars with consistency, I don't see Kayla being on the team barring injury.
@@cocoroni1031 Gabby is certainly a possibility. But for me, at this point, not having seen any full routines from her, she's not on my team. If she can have a strong season leading up to Trials, I would certainly love to change my mind!
I always get so nervous about Skye - I know she can do it, but she's just had so much trouble getting all the pieces together when all the heat is on. Then again, Gabby's been away for so long, so it's hard to really say who can deliver at this point in time. They're definitely duking it out for bars/beam spot. We'll have to see what Jade and Jos bring for floor. I think a Simone, Shi, Suni, Jade and an AA to cover for anyone like Leanne or Kayla could be another viable team. The Triple S Trio is all I am sure about at this point. We'll have to see at Championships!
Skye is so underrated imo because she can easily get a high 13 on BB even with a fall. That isn’t ideal but sometimes that’s reality. And if she gets a consistent cheng and floor, I don’t think there’s a way she gets left off this team
I fully agree with you. I think ANYONE who comes with a solid Cheng/Amanar and decent across other apparatuses will make the team. For me, the US must have the lead after the first rotation. It will set the tone and mood for the rest of the meet. They don't NEED to have the lead at that point but it is where they have TRADITIONALLY set the team up for a big win and a HUGE team win is what they should be looking to achieve not just a win.
Imho Skye is yoo inconsistent. Can she get thru theHydration Classic, Nattys, and team trials with consistancy and no major falls/errors? I have my doubts.
Only sure about Simone and Shi. I feel horrible in advance for everyone who won’t make it, and I am both incredibly stressed and super excited by the anticipation. I’m literally getting a headache right now thinking about it.
My bet - replace Skye and Kaliya with Konnor (strong BB, VT,, FX potential and usable UB if needed) and Jade (strong VT, FX and usable UB/BB if needed) ....(pending Suni is healthy enough to compete and show consistency for at least bars and beam) I love Skye, but she probably needed to take some international assignments and kill them this year (she opted out) to demonstrate ability to have some consistency; I just don't think they take a risk on her history with so many other options.
while this team is extremely understandable in dont see kaliya, kayla, or skye on the team. Skye may have greay scoring potential BUT ITS THE INCONSISTENCY like if she gets that together i can see her as an alternate definitely, kaliya unfortunately is only good on floor n i dont think id be good to only put someone on the team whos like that, kayla while consistent doesnt score high enough imo (team wise kinda, ef wise no) my team is simone, shi, suni, jade, n im havin trouble with the last maybe gabby or leanne we’ll see) but this was a great vid and anything can change especially with american cup next weekend
No way, she falls when it counts. She fell off beam during the team final at World Championships last year, and just yesterday at the NCAA team final. She's a beautiful gymnast, but always messes up in finals. She can go as an alternate.
This is mine, I can imagine this being the team many people are predicting: Extremely early team predictions for 2024! Simone Biles Suni Lee/Gabby Douglas Shilese Jones Skye Blakely Joscelyn Roberson Alternates: Jade Carey Jordan Chiles Leanne Wong/Kayla DiCello Notes: Simone Biles is obviously a lock. She can medal on 3 events in EF and will be able to go on all 4 in TF, she is obviously going to make it to Paris with her huge difficulty and great execution. Shilese Jones is a lock. She can medal on at least 1 event (bars) and can be used almost anywhere in TF. She has great consistency and overall difficulty on all the events! Suni Lee is likely to make the team in my opinion. It certainly is a bit biased considering that she hasn’t had the greatest 2023 elite season or 2024 winter cup, but I still think she will make it if she has a consistent bars and beam, especially with the new Full Twisting Jaeger which is insanely difficult and impressive! Skye Blakely has a chance to make the team. Fairly biased yet again because the world championships were NOT a good experience for her on beam. But she at least proved she can have a decent bar routine, and she had a very good 14.5 on beam at winter cup which helps her case! I think the new floor routine also helps her as she can probably finally score in the mid 13s thanks to dropping the Silivas! Joscelyn Roberson would be a great asset to this team. The team is great everywhere but if they could get a few extra tenths, it would porbably be on vault and floor, which is where Joscelyn does very good on! Her Cheng on vault isn’t even that bad compared to what people say it is, the main issue is just the soft knees, but the landing is quite good. Her floor difficulty score is also very impressive! There are many other gymnasts and the ones that are in main contention are; Gabby Douglas, Jade Carey, Leanne Wong, Kayla DiCello, Kaliya Lincoln, Jordan Chiles, Zoe Miller and Konnor McClain. I wish all the gymnasts a great gymnastics season in 2024!
I completely agree with you! I actually think Joscelyn could be a great option as well. She can also be used on beam because when she hits, she can score well! This will be tough!!
@@mustawgymexactly. Not sure why people put joscelyn on such a pedestal. Her scores were not good at world championships and they would be crazy to leave Jade off the team. Jades artistry has improved
I don’t see a world where they take Skye over Kayla (or even Leanne). They need a steady eddy who can be in the running for AA. I also don’t think we really need Kailya. Simone, Shi, Kayla, all could put up big floor scores. I think Shi Simone Suni, Kayla and Jade with Leanne Alt. Bars: Shi, Suni, Kayla beam: Suni, Kayla, Simone Vault: Simone, Jade, Shi Floor: Shi (Kayla), Simone, Jade
If the team isn’t Simone Shi Jade Gabby Suni I don’t want it! This is by far the strongest team if everyone is at their peak. No one has to do AA in TF and this maximizes the individual medal potential.
This was my team, but if Skye is inconsistent it's going to Gabby. Even if Gabby hasn't been to a camp so far this year I trust her more at the olympics than Skye.
my team as of now: simone, shilese, kayla, skye, jade. simone and shilese are obviously the strongest all arounders so they are a sure lock. because of her consistency and good performances kayla takes my 3rd all around spot in this team. although leanne, jordan, skye, suni, gabby can still be used in the all around spot just depends on their programs and consistency. for now skye takes my bars and beam spot. although she’s had falls at worlds she has really good scoring potential specifically on beam. we have yet to see gabby so i can’t wait to see how she’s looking on bars/beam. if suni is healthy and has full difficulty on bars and beam she’s definitely take this spot (she’s training vault maybe to earn some stock if she would have to go up in QF/team final and do a solid dty we don’t know if she has a floor routine as of now). jade takes my floor/vault spot honestly i think she should’ve been taken to worlds last year over joscelyn. i still think jordan kaliya and joscelyn are in the convo. what if konner comes back 👀 can’t wait for the american classic next weekend. maybe all of this will be different by then.
MY TEAM! Simone Biles (obviously) Shilese Jones Suni Lee \ Gabby Douglas Jordan Chiles Jade Carey Alternate: Kayla Dicello Joscelyn Roberson or Skye Blakely MY OPINION IS UNPOPULAR BUT IDRC my reason: Simone: no explaining needed Shilese: Could possibly used for all 4 events maybe not vault? Could easily make AA final and some apparatus finals. Suni and gabby: Havent seen much of the 2 but in my opinion Suni could make bars finals and possibly get a medal which will be good for 🇺🇸 since bars is not the strongest piece. Again same for gabby and She could maybe make some other finals or AA. Jordan: Used vault and floor, could make both finals and good asset to the team! Jade: Again mainly vault and floor but knowing jade she really pulls out at olympics so she could be used all 4 apparatus and a vault medal? Alternates: Kayla is really showing up this year so i wouldnt be surprised if she made the team but imo she is just not on par with the others. Skye could definitely be used on beam and if she hits thats medsl worthy but its her inconsistency. Joscelyn could be used on vault and floor but her technique is not it and thats why she might not get the place. I also dont really see Leanne getting the spot because she doesnt realy add to the team
Your picks are understandable at this stage considering we haven't seen much from any of these ladies to say otherwise but for me, my team is Simone, Shilese, Suni (if healthy) Gabby (in 2015 form) and Jade (Tokyo Olympic form). Although she proved to be inconsistent at the WC last year, if Skye has a good Cheng then I think she will make the team because she will most likely finish 3rd in an AA competition behind Simone and Shilese. I really believe however that there are going to be some ladies who are going to show up and show out at the next competition who are not in this video and who are not on people's minds to make the team. I think it is safe to say that we all just can't wait for it to start.
My prediction: team is composed of top 2 AA, one bars/beam person, one floor/vault person, and one other consistent AA. This way there’s a solid team + decent medal potential for individual events. Top AA: Simone 2nd AA: Shi Bars/Beam: suni but we haven’t seen her in top form recently so other options would be skye or gabby if she makes an insane comeback. Also potentially Kayla (more of a long shot). Vault/floor: jade or josc, with Jordan as a potential as well Last AA: Leanne or Kayla, with Jordan as a possibility I feel like it’s super likely the team is made up of this group! My official prediction rn is Simone, shi, suni, jade, and Leanne (but strong possibility of Kayla). I’d guess alternates would be the ones that don’t make the team (Jordan, skye, Leanne/Kayla) and also possibly kaliya or Tiana
Putting gabby in the thumbnail to leave her off it’s messy asf honestly and petty. You could’ve just not added her instead of using her image to down her in the thumbnail

She better come with her Amanar otherwise she will not likely make the team. The last time (2016) she failed to bring back her Amanar probably because she came second to Simone at the 2015 WC without it she felt she did not need it but Aly wanted another crack at AA and ensured she had her Amanar and we know who qualified second behind Simone and who did not.

@@leykimayri agree to disagree. Joscelyn is overrated and I pray she is not a part of the Paris team. Maybe a future team but not now.
@@nicoles9077 I’ve never claimed Joss is a good gymnast. However she gained her place . And there is no agree to disagree when it has to do with FACTS. Jade screw it up, she had multiple falls and she did NOT deserve to be on the team. End of story
Im excited to see Jades elite routines. Her Chuso looked good in her recent NCAA routines.
@@Enna2102 I don't care what she shows next week as long as she shows it when it COUNTS because I really like her for the US team.
Same, but realistically she will compete only bars and beam, or a watered down floor in the coming Saturday.
@@Enna2102 Mostly a front full combo pass.
Yup, floor isn't just that a reliable event, not to mention that it's so easy to go OOB and mess up landings. She needs a stronger vault.
@@tired4748 Jade definitely will outscore Shi's DTY any day with a Cheng.
I prefer Kayla over Skye. I trust on Skye multiple times at she just... fall, so is a no for me
I had to pause the video everytime. Please make it more easy to read!!!
@@ravanne3746so can gabby but that logic’s not applied to her that ain’t about if it’s about what is.
She was in a similar situation at the start of 2021, then peaked at the perfect time for Olympics. If she can do that again and put out strong beam and bar scores at nationals/trials I think she definitely has a good chance for the team.
@@ryansargent8618 yet so does gabby yet that logic’s not applied and she didn’t have kidney disease then. She also definitely had vault & a FX.
Simone, Shilese Jones, Kayla Dicello, Leanne Wong and Jade Carey??? lol
Love this construction! Seeing what Skye can bring on vault would be key to this happening. If Gabby truly has a Cheng and a good beam set, she could also film that spot. Excited for more competitions around the corner!
Well conceived idea. Wild card for me (at least out of the NCAA) would be Konnor McClain.
I think jade Carey is in good shape ti be in the team
Simone, Jade, Kayla, Suni, Shilese
Thank you, Ragan, for putting these videos out. I look forward to them. And I always agree with you! This is the same team I have wanted for a couple of years now. It's definitely my dream team.
I don't disagree with this.... I don't fully agree but I'm not mad at it tbh..... This was another banger .... Like always
Skye is a great gymnast but I just do not think she is mentally tough enough to be able to hit her routines. She falls most of the time.
That and I think Lincoln needs more time.
@@mariahazcueta3621 You might be correct about Kaliya, but I am sure Chellsie is preparing her to peak and dominate at the right moment, even if that is at 2025 Worlds.

@@jhere289 That’s such a shame!! Suni Jade, Zoe and Konnor would all be so good as specialists! All of them could have easily made a final! 😪
@@DanielLee-78 I agree
there won't be additional specialists this time, but with the addition of an extra team member and still keeping the 3 up/count format (which i hate, it should be 4 up/count), i wouldn't be surprised if they took someone (only 1) who was exceptional on 2 events and middle of the pack on the other 2, esp. considering you can put (healthy) simone/shilese up on every single event. that being said, we've had a main team member go down at the last minute at 2 of the last recent major events so we always need strong all arounders since anything can happen.
Hi Ragan! Can you tell us the name of the music in the background of this great video?!
they are not taking skye. girl can’t hit an international beam routine to save her life
If she finishes in and around the top three over these coming months of competition then there is NO WAY they will leave her off the team.
Does anyone just not feel very excited by team USA this year? Aside from Simone and Shilese, I don't really feel like any of the gymnasts stand out like past olympic cycles idk
I think the one thing I do know is this might be the Olympic team to predict
Interesting how Cheng’s are the new Amanar’s of this quad.
Is Simone going to do Biles 2 on vault this season?
@@JoshuaFazeli Amanar was +0.7 in 2012 more than DTY. Now Cheng is +0.6 more than DTY. Vault is still the most reliable event. I don't think Simone is going to do Biles 2.
Switch Gabby (if she looks like 2016 form at least) for Skye and I agree.
When is the US classic?
American classic (competition at katy Texas camp) April 27th
US CLASSIC (comp at Hartford) saturday May 18th
LOL I quit watching this 45 seconds in. You seriously think Skyefall is at the top of the pack?! And that Kaliya is one of the best of on floor?! Did you miss that yesterday, she as only THIRD on floor yesterday of the D-team American women/ girls who were sent to Jesolo Trophy?!
Skyefall 🤣
*I am unsure about the preparedness of Jordan Chiles and Gabby Douglas*
My team right now would be:
Simone Biles
Shilese Jones
Jade Carey
Sunisa Lee
Kayla DiCello
Alternates: Leanne Wong, Skye Blakely, Kaliya Lincoln
I see it being Simone, Skye, jade, suni and Jocelyn. Gabby isn’t even in the picture after last nights at hydro classics
@@cocoroni1031wait until Sunday to make such claims since literally nobody has seen her performing three full routines plus a Cheng….
Skye will need to bring a Cheng though. Her beam alone isn't an argument. I don't want to put her on TF beam lineup.
I can't wait for Leanne to come and surprise everyone with massive upgrades and go to the olympics
God I hope Suni stays healthy 😭😭
The only thing I know right now is that I’m very fucking nervous and anxious!
LOL!
how about leannewong
No way, she falls when it counts. She fell off beam during the team final at World Championships last year, and just yesterday at the NCAA team final. She's a beautiful gymnast, but always messes up in finals. She can go as an alternate.
This is mine, I can imagine this being the team many people are predicting:
Extremely early team predictions for 2024!
Simone Biles
Suni Lee/Gabby Douglas
Shilese Jones
Skye Blakely
Joscelyn Roberson
Alternates:
Jade Carey
Jordan Chiles
Leanne Wong/Kayla DiCello
Notes:
Simone Biles is obviously a lock.
Joscline? Jade will be much more safe choise
Josc is not making over the reigning Olympic champ!!!
They won’t make the same mistake again and Jade will remind them why she is who she is 👑
@@mustawgymexactly. Not sure why people put joscelyn on such a pedestal. Her scores were not good at world championships and they would be crazy to leave Jade off the team. Jades artistry has improved
@@mustawgym Well yeah. I absolutely think Jade would be on the Olympic team if she shows consistency at nationals and trials.
Bars: Shi, Suni, Kayla
beam: Suni, Kayla, Simone
Vault: Simone, Jade, Shi
Floor: Shi (Kayla), Simone, Jade

I don’t want it!
I see it being Simone, Shi, Suni, Jade and Jocelyn. Kayla is my runner up
my team as of now: simone, shilese, kayla, skye, jade. simone and shilese are obviously the strongest all arounders so they are a sure lock. because of her consistency and good performances kayla takes my 3rd all around spot in this team. although leanne, jordan, skye, suni, gabby can still be used in the all around spot just depends on their programs and consistency. for now skye takes my bars and beam spot. although she’s had falls at worlds she has really good scoring potential specifically on beam. we have yet to see gabby so i can’t wait to see how she’s looking on bars/beam. if suni is healthy and has full difficulty on bars and beam she’s definitely take this spot (she’s training vault maybe to earn some stock if she would have to go up in QF/team final and do a solid dty we don’t know if she has a floor routine as of now). jade takes my floor/vault spot honestly i think she should’ve been taken to worlds last year over joscelyn. i still think jordan kaliya and joscelyn are in the convo. what if konner comes back 👀 can’t wait for the american classic next weekend. maybe all of this will be different by then.
MY TEAM!
Simone Biles (obviously)
Shilese Jones
Suni Lee \ Gabby Douglas
Jordan Chiles
Jade Carey
Alternate: Kayla Dicello Joscelyn Roberson or Skye Blakely
MY OPINION IS UNPOPULAR BUT IDRC
my reason:
Simone: no explaining needed
Shilese: Could possibly used for all 4 events maybe not vault? Could easily make AA final and some apparatus finals.
Suni and gabby:
Havent seen much of the 2 but in my opinion Suni could make bars finals and possibly get a medal which will be good for 🇺🇸 since bars is not the strongest piece.
Top AA: Simone
2nd AA: Shi
Bars/Beam: suni but we haven’t seen her in top form recently so other options would be skye or gabby if she makes an insane comeback. Also potentially Kayla (more of a long shot).
Vault/floor: jade or josc, with Jordan as a potential as well
Last AA: Leanne or Kayla, with Jordan as a possibility
I feel like it’s super likely the team is made up of this group! My official prediction rn is Simone, shi, suni, jade, and Leanne (but strong possibility of Kayla). I’d guess alternates would be the ones that don’t make the team (Jordan, skye, Leanne/Kayla) and also possibly kaliya or Tiana
Can you do with team France ? :)

Sorry but Gabby is going to Gabby her way to 3rd Olympics😁Her vault and bars will be an asset to the team.
@@aliciamcdonald7105 She's good. She doesn't even need an Amanar, though she's training a Cheng for her primary vault. USA needs a high 14 bars from Gabby.

I think if gabby hit every season competition she could easily make the team for VT (If she does the cheng), Bars and Balance beam
Skye is not elegible, just for inconsistently, she has proved not hit for international stage
Jordan: If she back at the form of 2022 or 2021, she could easily pass to Kayla, jordan could be a potential medal for EF (VT AND FX)
What I don't understand is why would you want or need another bar specialist if you already put ahiliaw Jones on the team she could easily put up a high enough score to qualify if not even medal in a bar final in mt opinion
This code favors bars, so why not three high 14 bars? There is a spot for VT/FX anyway.
And USA got cleared by ROC with three high 14 bars in 2021. USA would be stupid to feel satisfied with a low 14, a mid 14 and a high 14 bars.
Simone, Shilese, Suni, Skye, and Jordan!!! Simone and Shilese are both locks at this point! Suni just needs to show she's consistent and she no doubt will be on the Team! Skye is already Landing her Cheng and the Form is Awesome. Skye could Absolutely make Beam Finals and try for a Medal. Skrye even with a Fall still could have a decent enough score to count. Skye Cheng Vault and her exceptionally Clean Bars stop!!! Jordan already said she's coming with an upgraded Vault and she's Training both the Cheng and Amanar. With Jordan's new floor she could Absolutely go for a Medal on Floor. She outscored Simone last year on bars even though I doubt she will be able to outscore her this year but she is an AA Gymnast where her scores are good enough to be on a 3 up 3 count routine and also make a Floor/Vault Final and Medal.

I’m really wanting Konnor to make the team so bad, however I know anything can happen and I also really want Jordan to go to Paris as well. I did not include Sunisa Lee because I’m still concerned about her kidney. I did not include Skye simply because she is incredibly inconsistent, has no individual medal potential and she cannot hit when it counts at intl comps. I don’t see either Leanne or Kayla on the team because they don’t stand out to me even though they are great athletes and are fun to watch. I have Lexi and Zoe as the NTR (non traveling reserves) because they are both good athletes to count on if anything goes wrong. Lexi is consistent on all four events and she has been the reserve athlete before and Zoe is great on UB. I wish the best of luck to all the athletes competing at trials as this will be the most competitive event in history.
Konnor 😂😂😂😂😂 and on UB EF 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 oh man, nice one!
I've got the same team as you except with Suni in place of Jordan (if she's healthy)... otherwise I would LOVE to have Jordan and her team spirit back in that 5th spot....
