  • This Chinese mad lock is made from (not hardened) steel and hosts a dimple lock that pick open easily. A monster of a lock but a joke of core ;-)

      Yeah, the core is soft like the "hardened" steel body ;-)

    "safety security" 😂 It will never stop to amuse me how chinese manufacturers trying to convince buyers that their goods is worth of buying.

    Very interesting, I like seeing how these things are put together. Such a shame that they cut corners and make these locks so weak.

      Thanks. Yes, cool to see the inside. It's really sad with that soft core as the lock body is not too bad.

    Hardened Solid Steel must mean something different in Chinese.

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад +1

      Yes, probably the same shift of meaning needs to be apply as to "safety security" ;-)

    the lock looks hefty, it will make an excellent paper weight

      True, however paperweights are not that popular anymore in times of email and computer.

      Thanks, it's funny to pick open a heavy lock like this without any effort.

    I think it is made of pig iron not steel. Mine I could open with just a tensioner

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад

      So that means that my lock is really high security compared to yours?

  • @s0men00bb
    @s0men00bb 5 лет назад

    I've seen bigger on stores that are also Chinese , so , IDK what they are thinking ! Some of them are in size like smaller brick ! 🤣 Some Kasp high security padlocks are 2 pounds (~1 kg) ! 🤣

    • @Potti314
      @Potti314  5 лет назад +1

      Even bigger? Ridiculous. That heavy piece of a lock should receive a quality core - if made from hardened steel or not.

    • @s0men00bb
      @s0men00bb 5 лет назад

      Agreed. They're same as this one , just bigger , wasn't sure if spinner was real or not. Well , the biggest and heaviest that I have is Abloy 340 with Protec core. It's 600 grams ! And 362 , which I am after (if I get good deal on it with Protec2 core) is almost double. Tho , it's their highest grade of protection , regarding padlocks in general. :)

    A "spinner" that does'nt spin and 100% Chinesium body, that should have been the warning signs lol. Thanks for sharing Potti and take care mate.

      At least a dimple lock and a lot of metal ;-)
