Exactly bro , now everyone’s complaining their too strict when over the break people had legit melt downs saying the Stewards were not enforcing rules . Can’t have it both ways . Its better this way no one got a pass today .
It's so stupid tho, some corners are blind if you get just a bit of understeer you end up crossing the line without being able to do anything about it, and you can get a penalty for a corner where you didn't even gained any time, maybe even lost some. And on top of that those new cars have not only bigger tyres but huge wheel covers, the drivers don't even know if they crossed the line or not because you can't even see it. The amount of warnings / penalties clearly show how dumb those track limits were in this GP. well, the weekend was also wild for me, but for a very different reason. I learned, that my grandpa actually planned the red bull ring (formerly known as A1-Ring) back in 1995. He showed me the original blueprints and the different design iterations for the corners. It's kind of insane, why didn't i know this earlier?
I am one of those that believe that the white line marks the end of the track and these drivers are the best of the best. They should have no problem staying on track
Just let the gravel traps start within 1 car width of the white line like in Zandvoort. No sausage curbs or double line of more aggressive curbs, no run offs or carpet.... just plain and simple old school gravel traps that you end up in with your outside tires before you reach the white line with the inside tires. That would keep the drivers away from track limits and there would be no need for all these warnings and penalties.
Thought the penalty for effectively ending Perez and Vettel's race was pathetic, should be minimum 10 second or drive through when guilty of sending someone to the shadow realm
@@willlive6845 u talkin about turn 4? Pretty sure russell was ahead of perez so doesn't that make it russell's corner? Just like Max v Ham on previous races. Correct me if I'm wrong tho
Again with the dumb takes, how many times we have gone over this, they judge the action and not the consequences, but should the penalty for causing a collision be increased? Well for someone in the front it would still not matter in most cases and for someone in midfield it would effectively end their race
I like the warnings, it give an innocent penalty that can make racing better. And also it's more of a gamble about pushing hard But yea brief the drivers before about that lmao

I was a bit surprised George got the 5 second. As a Red Bull fan my first reaction was "RUSSELL!!!" then with the replays I changed to "nope...both at fault.. race incident" At a certain point the thought "Matt will be so happy" actually crossed my mind. Well deserved win... Ferrari (well at least 1) was unbeatable this race. Loving this season so far. Some of the track limit places were ridiculous. There is no need for track limits when the gravel is almost right up to the track. Wrong race from the stewards to be "on top of it" the only people not benefitting from Sainz and Perez were Sainz and Perez. Max would not have had P2, Leclerc would not have had an "easy win". And can someone PLEASE revoke Matt's twitter permisions during race weekends.... ty
My guess is if they acted smart, they would have asked Sainz to protect Leclerc from Verstappen. Either that, or they would allow Sainz to overtake and provide Leclerc with DRS to pull away from Verstappen, and then on the final lap they'll probably say "Carlos, let Charles pass for the championship". Although knowing Ferrari, they would have allowed both drivers to fight, and Sainz would've won while Leclerc finishes in P3 (after losing time battling Sainz, and then being overtaken by Verstappen).
Those final laps, my dad and my friends had to blow air with makeshift fans on me even though we had a good A/C, I was having genuinely a panic attack after the fire and throttle issues.😅

I didn't understand that one because Checo wasn't the only driver going off there, both Haas drivers were going off the track in the same corner. I'm all for strict track limits, but retroactively penalizing a single driver didn't make sense.
Just when I thought *well, 3rd place is the best Max can get* when Carlos came closer with such pace ready to overtake....., his engine said NOPE. I really liked that the track limits were properly enforced this weekend, would like to see same sort of consistency every single week. Sure I kind of was worried about some of the drivers, but again they shouldn't be going over track line so many times after several warnings.
Austria GP: Russell drifts left, performs a Tip maneuver, and knocks Perez out of the race at the cost of a 5 second penalty. British GP: Russell drifts left, performs a Tip maneuver, and knocks Zhou and Albon out of the race, then expects to re-enter the race without penalty. Yes, he's learned a lot from Hamilton.

I'm OK with track limits penalties but I feel like they're not processed very well. Giving drivers 3 warnings is essentially giving them 3 freebies. And then you get a 5 second penalty? I'd much rather they give them one warning and then 1 second for every time they go off. Seems a bit more adequate, especially if gaining time isn't even a factor anymore. You had drivers get penalties or warnings for going off even when they were losing out, and that's a bit silly to me.

So happy for Mick. Hope he can continue this
I’m so happy for Mick. When he gets his first podium or Grand Pix win. The whole world will here me
As a Dutch F1 fan since 2004 I'm so ashamed about those fake Verstappen fans at the circuit.... Problem is F1 gained so much attention here since Max started winning, the Soccer hooligans came rushing towards it.... They think its the same kind of sport and rivalries and I hate it!
It's such a shame that they're giving Verstappen and the Netherlands a bad name
sometimes you cant even say your a redbull fan when your dutch because some dickheads will come along and just asume your part of the orange army and being treated like you dont know what your talking about
Fake verstappen fans?
It was Verstappen fans who where being groped, not the other way around.

That 5 car battle! I was expecting carnage round turn 3; I got magnificence! Those 5 deserve bonus bonus points! Fernando gets triple bonus for the finger.
It'd be cool if reactions from Practice and Qualifying get included from time to time. In qualifying, I felt like Mercedes team members had nightmares from earlier in the Brackley team's history when Hamilton and Russell crashed in Q3 (a reference to Spa 1999, when Jacques Villeneuve and Ricardo Zonta crashed out of qualifying)
Had a great time watching along side you guys on Twitch today.
Yes, Matt was casting bricks with his buttocks the last 3 or 4 laps with Charles throttle issue LOL
it was great!
The interview with Mick when he found out he was driver of the day was such a feel good moment
Alonso when he waved his finger: "ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A SPACE"
Mick just needed his usual 1,5 yrs (just like in F3 and F2) before his performance started improving significantly
I was thinking the same, and now we are in that point in F1, his confident and driver skills will be improving exponentially.
@@gerardojromay but he isn't wdc material and I would've liked him to be but nah in terms of being in a ferrari i say nope
@@gaurav1265 Just let's the time answer that question.
@@gerardojromay Nah, he's done. All great drivers won several races in a backmarker during their rookie year and by year 2 they are already dominating the field winning every race in any car. Oh, and also, they never crash, ever. You have to listen to YT pundits, they know better 😂😋
I wasn’t surprised with mick because he always just turns it on halfway through his second season
Nothing special, the haas is the 4th best car. Magnussen had engine issues else he wouldve been ahead, alonso had badluck since sprint, perez and sainz were out. Thats 4 people who wouldve been ahead of him so at best he wouldve finished 10th. Also you could make a case that if norris didnt have PU issues he mightve nicked him as well. If anything. ocon deserves far more props but since casual "fans" only know the name of schumacher, they hasten to his talentless son to relive their pathetic past.
Strange seeing a new ibr where matt doesnt sound completely crushed
Oh you won't have to wait too long for another Ferrari bottle
Whenever K Mag went up the inside of turn 1 three wide my jaw dropped
I feel like I’m the past two races we’ve seen just how good these new regs have been for racing with the last 10 laps in Silverstone and that 5 car battle in the midfield
Props to Ross Brawn
Uh yes man P6 for my boy Mick Schumacher. Oh man if Michael could give Mick a hug in public it would be so emotional to watch. But I know Mick is channeling his dad and making the most of those awesome Schumacher genes.
It's absolutely ridiculous and I honestly don't understand why people are questioning the track limits/warnings situation?! That's exactly what we all wanted for so long, which is clear track limits that are being strictly enforced. I think it's great!
Probably because of the abnormal number of warnings issued in this race compared to previous ones. And I'm not sure we heard of them all.
@@soundscape26 maybe because all the drivers were abusing track limits?
7:46 "...and Perez getting yeeted by Russell"
Best line of this whole video
I said it before and will continue, Mick is an amazing driver and it’s showing now 🙌💖 proud of him and hope many more points and everything come his way 🤩
I liked the track limits, if you go off the track u deserve warnings and penalties. Also I think that the 2 leaders got away with track limits in the last 20 or so laps
What a difference 7 days makes in Matt's F1 life
2:55 brilliant bit and needs highlighting!
We ALL need to move on as one. Friendly rivalry is fun, abusive and abhorrent behaviour is not.
Thank you @wtf1 for highlighting it 😁

As a big haas fan this weekend has been a dream so fun lately
0:38 “Let’s start at the very beginning where we always begin.” - Will Buxton probably
When you read that Merc tweet "It was not" in your best Schwartzenegger/Wolff voice, it is even funnier
well, the weekend was also wild for me, but for a very different reason. I learned, that my grandpa actually planned the red bull ring (formerly known as A1-Ring) back in 1995. He showed me the original blueprints and the different design iterations for the corners. It's kind of insane, why didn't i know this earlier?
The track limits in this race was perfect they should be this strict all the time
I am one of those that believe that the white line marks the end of the track and these drivers are the best of the best.
Just adding gravel traps everywhere would be quite dangerous in some corners. Especially if the gravel starts that close to the track
Hilarious video. Felt really bad for Carlos. Nice video. Keep up the good work.
Thought the penalty for effectively ending Perez and Vettel's race was pathetic, should be minimum 10 second or drive through when guilty of sending someone to the shadow realm
perez fault
@@peeturpain9379 definitely not perez’s fault, it was checos corner and russels car was facing the outside curb.
@@willlive6845 u talkin about turn 4? Pretty sure russell was ahead of perez so doesn't that make it russell's corner? Just like Max v Ham on previous races. Correct me if I'm wrong tho
@@qpwdfgh4939 perez actually was ahead they showed a few replays
Again with the dumb takes, how many times we have gone over this, they judge the action and not the consequences, but should the penalty for causing a collision be increased? Well for someone in the front it would still not matter in most cases and for someone in midfield it would effectively end their race
After having to wait longer for today's episode, I'm certain my F1 weekend is not complete up until I watch "Internet's Best Reactions" 😂😂
I like the warnings, it give an innocent penalty that can make racing better. And also it's more of a gamble about pushing hard
But yea brief the drivers before about that lmao
I had the exact same response to Leclerc's constant team radio towards the end of the race, I was like STOP PLAYING THE RADIO, ITS TOO STRESSFUL, I DONT WANT TO KNOW ANYMORE. Was on the edge of my seat to the end.
Sainz’s engine explosion was meaty tho did u see the side pods start to burst
It was scary watching those flames spread with with him struggling to get out the car
@synysterScot mans car became a BBQ really quick
Alonso's finger wagging was only surpassed by the Haas double points finish as my favorite moment of the weekend. Great stuff all around.
just waited for that haas top gun post to get 3 extra points for the social media team championship, didn’t happen :(
The funny things about Ocon being so underated, is that people talk more about Alonso wagging finger than the perfect scoring week end of Ocon... And the best meme for Ocon is that there is no meme ! :D
Nah , Ocon is also goated, he is basically carrying Alpine mostly because of Fernandos luck
Russell is now a full fledged Mercedes driver!
yup, having a redbull turn into you makes you one.
@@peeturpain9379 did you even watch the race? Russell nailed the curb, bounced to the left, and didn't have enough grip to make the turn on the line he was trying to take. It obviously wasn't on purpose, but it was also obviously Russell's fault. It took like 1.5 laps for them to determine that.
@@GTMcNabb get help
I was a bit surprised George got the 5 second. As a Red Bull fan my first reaction was "RUSSELL!!!" then with the replays I changed to "nope...both at fault.. race incident"
At a certain point the thought "Matt will be so happy" actually crossed my mind. Well deserved win... Ferrari (well at least 1) was unbeatable this race. Loving this season so far.
Some of the track limit places were ridiculous. There is no need for track limits when the gravel is almost right up to the track. Wrong race from the stewards to be "on top of it"
the only people not benefitting from Sainz and Perez were Sainz and Perez. Max would not have had P2, Leclerc would not have had an "easy win".
And can someone PLEASE revoke Matt's twitter permisions during race weekends.... ty
Sainz blowing his engine was surprising yet predictable for a Ferrari
"Aerodynamics are for those who can't build engines" -Enzo "Stop Inventing" Ferrari
you can notice the happiness on Matt's face from 1000 miles 😁😁 finally seeing Leclerc winning another race !!
If Sainz had not had the engine failure he would've gone to overtake limping Charles..wonder how the team would've reacted
My guess is if they acted smart, they would have asked Sainz to protect Leclerc from Verstappen. Either that, or they would allow Sainz to overtake and provide Leclerc with DRS to pull away from Verstappen, and then on the final lap they'll probably say
"Carlos, let Charles pass for the championship".
We should shed more light on the terrible behaviour of dutch fan this weekend. I'm ashamed to be dutch rn. Harassing woman, sexist and racist remarks. Even touching young girls. Mostly drunk dutch fans. Honestly something has to be done, this cannot stand. Every fan, not matter the gender or race should feel safe.
The fact that my sister is scared to sit with the dutch fans because she's a ferrari fan says enough.
Matt happy smiling, joyus face is just what is needed on a Monday morning.
What did we learn today? The power of Grace's onesie is greater than Matt's power to jinx.
Merc being 3rd and 4th is no surprise. 2 of the top 4 DNFed and they are the clear third best team.

About the flares, living in an european country and being a basketball fan seeing flares on track seems really natural to me because ive seen a lot of them inside the court.
I love how every track limit was monitored like crazy and inmediately acted on...
Except for that one from Perez in Q2 for which he got demoted post qualifying
Which is BS both for him and for Gasly, who may have missed out on a chance to start hugher
Someone explain that one to me cuz I don't get it
I didn't understand that one because Checo wasn't the only driver going off there, both Haas drivers were going off the track in the same corner. I'm all for strict track limits, but retroactively penalizing a single driver didn't make sense.
Replay of George's pitstop while other drivers were making moves was THE WTF moment.
Just when I thought *well, 3rd place is the best Max can get* when Carlos came closer with such pace ready to overtake....., his engine said NOPE.
I even felt sorry for Carlos.🙁
And can we give a shootout to that Marshall who had a brick of some kind to stop the burning Ferrari from rolling down the hill.👍🏻👍🏻
Maybe he can be hired to stop Ferrari going down hill ever again🙊😆😜
5:15 That move has become a merc certified move, "you try to pass me, I bop your rear" XD

Matt so happy you are happy now . Was willing leclerc on for you as well as him! Great win . So tense
As for the dutch 'party' fans misbehaving (also the excessive amount of Bull-Sh!t orange smoke) I apologize. I'm a dutch F1 fan, and am VERY much embarrassed by that this supposed 'fan'-base represented The Netherlands. Again; Sorry.
I worry about the flares for the Zandvoort race tbh, it can get dangerous for the drivers and the circuit is not as wide open as the Red Bull Rng.
@@soundscape26 Yes. I hope they will ban flares and do personal checks for that race. I got quite upset when I saw some being thrown from the bleachers onto the grass in front. These Muppets are not fans, just (probably drunk) idiots.
The 5 car Battle was Amazing.
Can we also discuss the metaphorical car crash that was the driver graphics during the podium, which were 100% inaccurate?! It was like season 7 My Team on F1 22 😂
Yeah they put Sergio Perez for lecerc 😂
Very happy for Mick's race and his improve of late.
I’m fine with track limits. This is what we have asked for for years. We can’t turn around and whine about it now. Limits are limits… doesn’t matter if it’s a cm or 30 feet.
Kevin spent 2/3 of the race saving the engine. keeping the car in points at all was ace.
Imagine the tone in Matt's voice if Carlos won again
Not racing related, but having the title square finally change size to fit the half screen was extremely satisfying 😂🙏🏻
ferrari fans should just be called leclerc fans yous are all happy cause leclerc won today but when sainz won last week you complained
6:02 Mick's over the line radio: "As he would say: 'We are back.'" :'-)
I'm OK with track limits penalties but I feel like they're not processed very well.
When Race Rundown starts and there's still 2 minutes left in the video, you know it's going to be a good one
Man merc is team consistent they are like vultures this season hope for their comeback in next season
All those flares and smoke IMO are safety issue especially in those quantities, it is asking for a major crash.
Track limits policing i just loved it, it should be like this on every GP weekend.
Delighted that Mick has finally unleashed his inner beast. Hope that both him and car continue to deliver, battles like he had this weekend and points at the end of the race.
