Further on the Taunton Town FC post, someone in the replies asked if they got Oscar’s permission and they just simply replied “Did alpine?” And the shade has me dying!!
If they filmed this a bit later, they could have gotten Albon's tweet in this video.

What makes this all even crazier is that it's just happened in Indycar as well a month ago. For those that don't know 2021 Indycar Champion Alex Palou was announced to be staying with his current team by CGR (his current team) before he said it wasn't true and that they had no permission to make that announcement or use the quotes they made up from "Palou". Moments later McLaren announce that Palou will be racing for them next year and Palou backed this up. Currently CGR are trying to sue their current driver Palou as the season continues...
If Piastri went to McLaren, then there would be 2 cases when a team announced one of their driver only for said driver to join McLaren in 2022.
Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Palou is replacing Daniel Ricciardo
Piastri is going to drive for CGR
Leclerc is going to drive for HRT because a bad team that doesn't exist any more is still better than Ferrari
Mahaveer Raghunathan is going to replace Leclerc at Ferrari because he's the only driver bad enough that it won't be Ferrari's fault when he loses everything
It's really easy to avoid problems though... Just don't announce things before they've happened? WTF?

My theory is that Webber is Piastri’s manager and Webber and Alonso are great friends. So Webber told Alonso to wait to announce his change right before Oscars contract expires so he won’t have to race for Alpine and Webber can get Piastri a seat at McLaren when Danny Ric moves to Alpine.
The reason Alonso wants to do this is because Alpine could become a championship winning team but they don’t want to spend the money. Whereas Aston Martin with daddy stroll forking out billions into their F1 project so he thinks Aston could become good in the future.
Yeah, a new facility by AM could really see them very close to if not right at the front.

At this point I don't think we must call Fernando the "burner of bridges", I think he came back in 2020 just to get on fire the whole F1. That's the real plan. He's one of those men that just want to watch the world burn, and you can clearly see him causing that mess in Alpine and come back in Spa with a huge smile in his face. You must love Fernando at this point. He's just above everyone.

I understand that, with my agreement, Williams Racing have put out a press release this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is right and I have signed a contract with Williams for 2023. I will be driving for Williams next year.

If Piastri isn't signed with Alpine through 2023 in any fashion... the "legal" battle is an exercise in futility, since he would have no ties to them from the end of this year moving forward... If there is no contract... there is no breach. literally is that simple.
He is on Alpine, so definitly exist a contract, the question is, what the exit term of his contract? He seem confident for sure, but in 2004 the exact same happen with Button, and he was obligated to race in BAR, so lets see
