I like that he's driving like this though, he's not here to pick up an easy 2nd, he knows he has to win, and if that means risking crashing then so be it, he doesn't really have any other options now.
Aren't we gonna mention that Charles jumped the ship before Ferrari (Imola)?
Although you do have a point, I honestly don't think this mistake in particular was due to "pushing too hard". It was more like a miscalculation on adjusting his driving given the tyre wear at that point. I agree with you that technical issues on the races before have put more pressure on him, but I don't think this kind of error is directly related to that.
I love that Charles shared Matt’s reaction to him crashing
Seeing Leclerc crash and already looking forward to today's Internet's Best Reactions. You didn't disappoint
If you want to see Matt's full reaction, it starts (or ends if you're Ferrari) at 1.06.00 in the twitch watchalong or you could start watching at Max's pit at 1.03.01 to see the backseat strategizing.

Me watching the race: "Oh no I can already hear Matt's sobbing..."
This was the first race I was able to watch your watchalong with the race. I was part of the 2 minute ahead crowd, and it was a joy to just wait and watch your reaction. All the love, not a fanboy, just passionate. Thank you for the great content.
Matt's reaction was almost as intense as Charles's reaction. What a tough day.
Leclerc's post race interview said it all "if I keep making those mistakes, I don't deserve being champion". It got into his mind, it's all downhill from now.
You don’t know Leclerc if you think this
Leclerc crawsh made me sad but Matt 1-shotting race rundown cheered me up again! Thanks mate!
Dude, I was laughing out loud so many times. Your live reaction is just spot on. Thank you for making my evening.
Swing? There was only one swing, that’s was when Max took over the lead in the championship.
It’s already been confirmed the French GP is off next year! 🤩🤩🤩 the Brazilian media got the scoop and the French are out next season and there’s a great speculation that South Africa might take the spot!
I'm a Verstappen fan but from now on I'll be cheering Leclerc so this amazing battle doesn't end so early
the last time I felt this sensation for an F1 driver was when Hamilton's engine gave up at Malasia in 2016
Charles is right that with his “32 points” comment. He’s saying 32 as it’s the 25 race win points of his own which he threw away, plus the 7 extra points he gifted Max by Max moving from 2nd to 1st.
Exactly lol. If Matt’s adding the extra 7 for Max to get 39, how was it 32 in the first place 😂
@@toodsf1 I’m going to let him off, as I’m putting it down to the emotional trauma from lap 18.
@@Heathen.Deity. actually Matt might be correct. I’ve found a longer quote -
“I am giving away too many points. Seven in Imola; 25 here because we were probably the strongest car on track. So if we lose the championship by 32 points at the end of the year, I will know where they are coming from and it is unacceptable."
Looks like Charles was getting 7 from Imola, not counting the extra 7 Max gained from his crash in France
@@toodsf1 maybe. I wasn’t aware of the Imola part. I assumed he just meant his mistake today.
He meant Imola (7) and this one (25). He's talking about the points HE lost.
As a long time Ferrari fan I'm not even surprised anymore! Just SAD and this sadness is not ready to disappear
Been waiting for matts reactions!!
Matt has shown serious courage to make a video today and show up all happy and exited.
everytime I see a radio from Ferrari or just a random pan of camera to ferrari, my heart stops. I'll probably die from this
Matt's paint was heartbreaking and hilarious. Nice video. Keep up the good work.
Charles’ “Nooooo!” will haunt my memories for the rest of my life.
Too early. He can still quite handsomely win this year. Or the ones to come.
@@ytwos1 If Charles wins every race from now on and Max is always second with the fastest lap, he would still win the Championship, so this won't be that easy for Charles...
That moment where the Ferrari fan had his head down and the Mercedes’ fan was laughing right after Leclerc’s crash was hilarious.
Who else is here to see how Matt’s doing post Leclerc getting Ferrari’d?
He admitted he put himself in the wall though 🤔
He put it in the wall himself. There was no throttle issue.
Matt's reaction is so sad an funny at the same time 🤣😂🤣😂 he didn't blink for like an hour and the scream at the end was gold
has to be said, max immediatly asked how charles was doing. he was also very timid at the end of the race very calmly answering the qeustions.
stark contrast with a certain driver that was waving with his flag.
You mean the same driver that was very polite after abu dhabi.
Matt's reaction to LeClerc hitting the wall is pure gold! He's my new favorite meme! 🤣🤣
Paul Ricard should be F1's testing track. With a good mix of turns and so much runoff, it would be perfect for the job.
I think it was built for this purpose, i remember crofty saying it a few years back
@@Inexact044 u are correct its called paul ricard HTTT (hi tech test track)
Mat's face reaction after looking at Leclerc DNF: PRICELESS.
Matt’s reaction at 6:23 has got to become a meme or GIF or something 😂❤️
Then you have to time it along with Leclerc's scream.
lol leclerc and Matt both doing the same scream xD
Not gonna lie, I just feel sorry for Matt at this point, he don’t deserve this disappointment in life🤣🙏🏽
matt imitating charles' radio is perfect
10/10
poor charles
Sainz getting P5 from the back of the grid was a very impressive performance.
If it wasn’t for Ferrari strategist , he could have finished on the podium or at least 4th
Never clicked faster. Been waiting for Matt's reaction.
Why does it seem like every time something bad happens to leclerc and/or Ferrari Matt gets race rundown perfect?
6:41 and 12:20 I like how Matt' his stare is exactly the same as Sainz' shocked stare face.
Plan B is for: boom into wall
Plan D is for: destroy podium chance
Plan C is for: crash
Plan E is for: Ehh, why I even bother...
Plan Barrier
@@grishemall they called charles a lap before he crashed to say: “so, plan B plan B”
And later, when they wanted carlos to pit with 10 laps to go they said “plan D, plan D”
Good on you to cover KMag's blistering start, but Stroll had a pretty fantastic start too. He made up more places than Alonso, got ahead of Seb and stayed there.
Edit: That move from Stroll was a standard affair. Seb said he was surprised, but it wasn't even close to being illegal or dangerous. B4 someone accuses me of being a Lance fanboy, I'm actually a Seb fanboy since his STR days.
I'm extremely disappointed that the Vader meme screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" didn't make an appearance.
"it's LeClec....." Tommys reaction was bloody brilliant 🤣🤣
I feel sorry for you Matt❤️
6:59 You should do a scream contest with leclerc hahahahahaha
4:05 Verstappen said he let Leclerc go on purpose , he could followed easily
5:57 the fact that someone said my last name right should make me happier, but I'm still heartbroken for Charles and Ferrari. Thanks either way mate
Grats to Max on the WDC a very consistent performance. Charles gave it a go but this mistake is the final nail in the coffin i think
Not by a long shot. Even if just Ferrari will be as fast as they now seem they can take 10-11 points out of Max every race. And that is without Max/redbull making any mistakes.
Not certain, but numbers wise, max could finish second for the rest of the season with fastest laps and he’d still win - a sad leclerc fan
@@danielflavin4216 as Vettel fan I feel your pain. Just know you are heard
@@danielflavin4216 The biggest thing here is, even on a Verstappen DNF, Ferrari will find a way to have Leclerc not gain the maximum points on Verstappen. Verstappen knows how to not crash, he can trust his team with the rest. Leclerc is more incident prone and can't trust his team for doing anything.
I hate it every time things go wrong for Leclerc but I love how much it upsets Matt
I really felt for Leclerc and then the powers that be shat on Sainz by pulling him in for a tyre change - unbelievable. It also seems that MV is winning races more by default than ability.
Indeed, no ability. But Hamilton lost to that so has even less than no ability. Ooomph. That little. Yes. Less than none. Still you rise.
You mean like Merc getting podiums by default and not by ability this year?
The plans are probably a lot more simple than Matt is thinking. I assume something like plan a is the original pit stop window, but plan D or E could be plus 4-5 laps on their original plan.
On the topic of Tv direction - what KMag? Kev went from p20 to p13 in the first lap lol and I don’t think they showed a single one. There was even commentary on KMag passing albon but it was being based off the timing sheet lol
Ofcourse, but why throw around these stupid plan codes. Just do like Merc and redbull and speak certain sentences and then everyone knows what is on.
@@ytwos1 well, that's the thing.
everyone knows.
as opposed to only Ferrari team members.
It's almost like Ferrari doesn't want to give Carlos any opportunity to out shine or show up Charles.
I call absolute BS on the "it was just a mistake" narrative. Right after the crash Leclerc complained on the radio that his throttle was stuck. Then they had him do that rehearsed interview where he went cartoonishly out of his way to take any and all blame. Then they muted the cooldown room RIGHT when they were starting to talk about the stuck throttle. Ferrari 100% had another failure and they had Leclerc take the blame to save face. Remember, this is Ferrari, the same team that had an illegal engine in 2019 and got their buddies in FIA to cover it up
His radio was him frustrated that he couldn't reverse....
No need for conspiracies here...
its been proven that the throttle got stuck after the impact which made it so that he couldnt reverse out
and aviation fuel can't melt steel beams 🙄
Driver error 100 percent. Let’s move on.
Matt's face when you get punted on the last lap online
Legit Ferrari needs to put Antonio Giovinazzi in Carlos' car so Carlos can do strategy on the pit wall for 3 races and teach those schmucks how it's done. 😂
I'm watching this for a second time. Just brilliant
I think stroll saying "Just leave me alone" and like in the same way as Kimi deserved a mention😂
Those posts where fun a lot. Thank you for enlighten my Monday.
Kudos for Ferrari to throwing away a championship to make an interesting gp.
It wasn't ferrari fault 🙄
@@shivamsawarn8275 Charles is on the Ferrari team
Charles had to back pedal on the stuck throttle
@@ralphe5842 from the audio of Charles onboard of the crash it doesn't appear that there was something wrong with the car.i!o he went a bit wide because he was pushing on his old tires to fight the undercut from Verstappen which was very powerful...let me add that in Austria you could really hear the stuck throttle on Charles's onboard!
Matty, Matty, oh Matty. That reaction was priceless. LMAO 🤣
Grace’s onesie is the real star of today
Matt’s scream had the exact same energy as Leclerc’s “Noooooooo!” 💔
Hey Matt i hope u can last till the end of the season man, cause i dont know whats going to happen to me if i see another Ferrari blunder race.
14:39 "I've never seen that video before"
And I've never seen a Sainz overtake live
At this point, Ferrari have to stop trying to fight Res Bull and start worrying about Mercedes. Merc is closer in points rn than rb
The reaction that Matt had when leclerc hit the wall was a very similar reaction my dad and I had. Absolutely gutted
Love how Matty and Leclerc both had the same reaction to the crash
everyone in Italy was breaking something aloud as reaction …I’m sure because I heard
I feel the pain in Charles LeClerc. He said the right thing though: "I did this to myself." He can win and he will but, it's going to be really tough now.
Newbies to the F1 game will miss Paul Ricard! Which one will be the easiest track after it is gone?
Monza. Like every year.
0:17 I love this! This exact moment is why I’m here for!!
He’s bottled it 😔 we need Hamilton back at the front if we want a title fight Charles ain’t there yet unfortunately
He would still be there if Ferrari didn't fuck him over repeatedly. Even with his mistake today.
Genuinely would rather see Max win at a canter than have Hamilton in the mix again
@Kevwe Patani Nah he's still at the front somewhat so keep on going with your tears
As a Ferrari and Leclerc fan, It is sad but i have to agree, they dont have what Mercedes/Hamilton have to take on RBR/Verstappen.
@@PunishedlLongshanks I would genuinely prefer to see Mazepin win consecutive world titles than see Verstappen win one more race... Maybe Charles and Ferrari can still get their act together.
the fact that Leclerc once had a 40+ point lead, *cries in Italian*
