Every day I pray that they give Andretti a shot at F1 just to make race rundown harder.
The porpoising is affecting Ferrari's pace the same as it is Mercedes. The difference being even with such bad porpoising Ferrari are super quick. They've been running high ride heights as a compromise, just like Merc, and are, again like Merc, talking about an updated floor within the next few races so that they can stop compromising their pace. If they can get on top of that issue the way Red Bull has, they'll probably be another half a second up the road from everyone.
Do racerundown at the start of the video, more people will watch it and we will love it

I have to admit, initially when i started watching wtf1 content, the race rundown was my "turn off" moment for a while but eventually it started to grow on me and now it's become one of my favourite bits just to see Matt suffer.
I still skip it every single time. I don’t mind him doing it though because it’s at the end of the video anyway

Also being from Canada I love watching the races in the morning. They are usually between 8 and 10am. This one I stayed up for so I feel your pain about being tired Matt.

Interesting you mention about the race rundown segment not being liked by everyone. My wife, a relatively new F1 fan (last 2 years), looks forward to only this part after every race and does a "race" against you to see who does it in lesser attempts and faster. She's getting pretty good at it now.

Who dislikes the race rundown when you get gems like Balbon. Though Matty's enthusiasm for it seems to be waning, that's the only reason it feels stale sometimes

Watching European F1 races from the US is the same experience as watching the Australian GP from Britain. I've actually grown to like having a live sporting event first thing in the morning...... F1 goes well with coffee.

This was my first time going to a Grand Prix and I noticed that the Alpha Tauri's exhaust is hella crackly. Also, great to see the Ferrari comeback, despite their crazy porpoising effects. Thank you for the video, keep the rundown!!
I was also at the gp and was surprised by the alpines noise, they sound so deep.

Sainz changed his steering wheel on the start line… all the settings were wrong and he went in to anti stall on launch… couldn’t do the correct tire warm ups either…

@@iforgot4837 they can have the same type of switches, same clutch and gear controls and switches programmed to control the same settings (like for like) but there's nothing to say they must be set to the exact same positions on the dial.
So example, brake bias, yes it must be the same switch on both wheels to select and change the bias, but the second steering wheel may be a 60/40 split and his first might be 55/45 etc.
Same as energy deployment mode, harvest versus full beans etc.
So Sainz can expect consistency, they ought to have double checked everything was correct.

RACE RUNDOWN: Rarely do I laugh out loud watching youtube videos, and this segment always makes me laugh genuinely. Please keep it forever. Also, I have been a loyal follower of WTF1 since 2020.

I'd like to take a second and recognize Zhou. He's been staying in moderately competitive positions even though it's his first year AND he's in an Alpha. Sure Bottas is doing ok in one, but he has FAR more race time
Idk, Zhou didn’t impress me in any way in his first races. He was in the back of the midfield and didn’t pace even close to Bottas. Yes, he is consistent and does keep out of trouble which is good but else there isn’t really anything standing out. 🤷🏻♂️

Lawrence micromanaging everything when he clearly knows nothing about running a racing team seems to be the major problem within the team. I mean, the guy literally bought his spoiled brat a team because he couldn't get a seat on merit, and thereafter daddy has done everything to make sure the team caters to his kid at the cost of everything else. Have a great driver? Nah get rid, keep my inept son. Bring in a 4 times world champion to boost the team, ignore everything he says and interfere with every facet of the running of the team even when you know nothing about which you're talking.
These early episodes did not age well 😂
