One thing I forgot, was Rinza for steam wand maintenance. I usually do 230g of water to 30g of Rinza and soak for 15 minutes. One thing I didn't forget was to take my daily vitamins today. Thanks again to Ritual for sponsoring this video! I love their vitamins because I know that I'm getting a high quality supplement that will help me throughout the day. This is a dope set up. Loving the drawer organization!
Beautiful set-up!
great video. In general your attention to detail and commitment to making things the way they should be is extremely inspiring. Props.
as a true beginner about to get first machine this is an insanely organized system..
Love seeing your videos brother! Keep it up!
Just wow 🤩 I bet that cup of coffee tastes like magic! Great setup 👍🏼
loving the gatekeepers from the minimalist community here. he didn't do a task in the most minimalist way...how dare he. this coffee routine seems to bring him so much joy and is great to look at. minimalism is not living in an apartment with no furniture and just one blanket. get over yourselves.
damn that drawer is so nice. loved the video
Love the set up, have you thought about using the coffee grounds for the plants at home? It helped my Orchids grow and blossom more flowers when in season!
masterpiece of a video again!
Lol every video is legit an ad but whatever floats your boat
Serial Killer levels of organization! 😂😂😂
Damn Eric doesn’t miss! Great video! And a nice setup man!
Hi Eric this is an awesome video, my feeling is this documents your current position on espresso making at home. If this makes you happy then it may also inspire others to short cut your learning curve to get to results that make that person happy. I just wanted to ask where is the white t shirt from
"Serial killer levels of organization" is how I designed my art studio to be as well. xD. It's just so much easier to make a mess and put things back if they all have a purpose and place to go back to after all.
Hey bud Loved this video - do you have a link list for all your coffee gear ?
love the setup and workflow. i would stay away from grindz, i used to use it on my baratza encore but since i upgraded to the niche i never used it since the difference is so minimal and i didn’t like the idea of something foreign being put into my grinder and drinks, even if you purge it some of those grindz residue will always remain in ur grinder.
It's meant to be used before taking apart the grinder to clean. I don't use it at home but at the coffee shop I used to work at where we go thru 50lbs of beans a day and the grinder was cleaned weekly, it's was necessary. I think of it as a high tech version of grinder a spoonful of rice grains on your spice grinder before cleaning it out.
Great video. I'm jealous of that setup but it's way outside my budget right now. Random question... where did you get those slippers? I'm looking for a pair just like them. :)
Got to agree with most comment that it's getting more complex then past coffee making... But it's his channel guys.... 😆
It is not his. It Is Googles. This dude is a youtube employee. And his employer is youtube.
Please take a look at Sage/Breville knock box which imo looks much better
Nice advertisement for the coffee grinder and machine…
Can you do a latte art video sometimes? How did you learn it?
Where did you get those glass vials? 😍
We need a house tour!!!🔥
I don’t even drink coffee, but this video is interesting to watch.
😂😂 La Marzorcco…great choice ❤❤ You didn’t come to play 😊
I couldnt make out what brand those coffee dosing tubes/caddy you had was? its a beautiful piece and I want me one!
weber
Bro spends over $25K on his home espresso bar set up calls it minimalist 😂
FR. Anyone that owns an espresso machine can tell you it's anything BUT minimalist. It's messy, time consuming, and gets super expensive very fast.
What was the tiny mirror for ?
Hello brother! An editing tip, faux camera shake doesn't usually pair well with slow motion video. Can you imagine how intense the shaking must have been if the footage was in real time? 😅
very clean setup! tool grid is an awesome idea!
¡Muy interesante!
Do some reciew of uniqlo U tshirt after a year. Does it hold well?
Do you have a link to those cups?! I love the look of them..
Handmade from a subscriber
@@thestaxx6444 Thanks! I though they may have had an Etsy shop
all this is great. But the actual coffee is the key.
The coffee dosing vials look great but UV light kills flavour in beans.
If you have to pre dose your beans then you might as well get an automatic machine
A Smart Espresso Setup*
There is absolutely nothing minimalist about this haha
It might be just me but for me this is far away from minimalistic coffee making?
He is a narcissistic clown, selling his products as minimalism
If he finds value or joy from it, then why not? Minimalism is subjective to whatever or however much a person finds is enough for them. (In this case though, I think it's more of the aesthetic and having things tucked away). Personally, my coffeemaking is a lot more simple than his... but it seems like a fun interest:)
100% correct... Hueguh lost it with this video...
I would agree that it’s not minimal. But it’s way easier to be minimal with say a pour over than espresso because it’s such a sensitive and involved way of making coffee.
the most minimal cup of coffee is instant coffee and water but is it worth it?
I’m sure you get this a lot, but I fully believe we would be great friends. Every time I’m like, “man, I think I’m about to get into x hobby,” you post a video about it.
Have an enjoyable week 👍🏽
Edit: scrolling through comments and seeing a fair bit of negativity. Sorry you’re experiencing that homie. I love this video, and it doesn’t come off as “fake” or “selling out” in the least bit. Keep making great content.
Too much hate in the comments. Let the man enjoy his coffee 😂
You mispelled over-priced. Minimalist would be a mcds drive through.
This man clearly has no children
Lol
I was thinking the same exact thing LMAO
Hey, so I also have a niche zero grinder as well. I saw the grindz tablets in your drawer. The niche zero says specifically to not clean your grinder with grinding tablets. If you need to deep clean it just take out the burrs entirely and clean it by hand.
Also in terms of dose, it's less about the dose and more about the ratio of grams of grounds to water. A 1:2 ratio would be 18g of coffee grounds to 36g of water. Right now, I use a 1:1.89 ratio.
Also be careful to not rotate the tamp too much. With the Bigstep being a 58.3 tamp, you shouldn't have to rotate it at all to get all the grounds down. Plus rotating the tamp can unseat the puck if you're not careful.
Enjoyed it as always! But does anyone have clue on why the RUclips algorithm didn't favor this video? 🤔
Minimalist hahahaha with a 10k$ set up
A Linea Mini is "minimalistic", ok....
If you are going with medium to lighter roast, I recommend changing your grinder to a flat burr to increase the clarity. Niche is a great "traditional espresso" grinder, but if you are going with random assortment of roast/beans/varietals, you'd want to go with a more general purpose burrs. I'd probably recommend either (from most expensive to least): monolith max / eg1, wug2, p100, p64, or df64 (swap out with HU or lab sweet burrs).
If you'd like, a "hack" is slow-feeding into the niche, like 1-2 beans at a time, that would end up cleaning up the shot (less fine production due to popcorning) to give you a taste of what more clarity would taste like.
I have seen this video yesterday...
There is a thin line between insane and genius. My suggestion is that you don't take it up one more notch 😅
Hueguh, please just don't stick with one fixed dose for espresso. Dialing in is super important, and different coffees might require smaller or bigger ratios.
Does your coffee setup give you crippling intrusive thoughts and compulsions ? If not, it's probably not 'Slightly OCD'.
Quit using OCD as a quirky adjective.
Thank you very much, are you ready to reveal your objective opinion on this machine? I am considering replacing mine
The irony of this "minimalist" genre. There's nothing minimalist about home espresso setup that involves dozens of tools and products not to mention the NUMEROUS steps it takes to pull a good shot. Don't get me wrong bc it is a lot of fun if you like espresso drinks but this is not minimalism. I'd argue the process of making good espresso and tinkering with parameters makes it fun.
EVEN THE THUMBNAIL LOOKS INCREDIBLE. . . . .
Why you keep an empty kitchen just for the espresso machine? I see nothing minimalistic about your $8k “setup”. I hope you are actually good at making espresso. The setup
deserves it.
I like the setup but I don’t like the „puristic, simple“ bullshit 😂
Handgrinder & Mokka Pod that’s would be simple and puristic
ORGASMIC
This is nice but the extreme opposite of minimalism. Organization of a bunch of “things” should not be confused with minimalism.
Take this how you want but I think that your vids would look much better if you just lowered the exposure a little bit and made the lighting more interesting cuz this looks pretty bland.
Almost first...
hehe
lol far far away from minimalistic
Don't love the OCD reference my dude.
same.... maybe detailed oriented, but the reference doesn't help one bit.
Same this is a real disorder that causes many to suffer. Not an adjective for someone that enjoys organization.
Some people choose to suffer with their disorders, some take advantage of the gift they were given. If you don't like what you hear or read, that is your own fault, because you chose to be here in the first place. A negative mindset will emit a negative reaction, and you'll only suffer more from that.
good video but really? "minimalist" setup then proceeds to have a 6k+ machine and a 300.00 tamper? LOL I'm out
Love your videos but please don’t use OCD as an adjective. OCD is a real disorder that causes suffering for many and using the term as an adjective spreads misinformation and contributes to people not getting the help they need. ❤
This is not minimalism. This is more narcissism. It is a modern TV Shop commercial coming in sheep clothes. Sorry, bro. You started well and honest. Now you crossed the line. Unsubscribed.
Sorry, but Hueguh fell off
