It should be noted that the Frame's included fiber optic cable is not rated to be in the wall and goes against city codes in most places. This is because the cable carries power and is not insulated. Samsung sells a wall-rated cable, but it is pretty spendy, unfortunately. Just wanted to mention it as a fellow Frame owner.

Exactly my thoughts, seemed like a lot of hassle for such a tiny cable too. I would've just used a tiny bit of colour-matched tape.

Just to note- a better option for the TV would be to install an actual outlet, as running live wires through drywall may be against code in your area. I had to install an outlet and then snaked an HDMI through the drywall down to my receiver.

Is the cable for the Frame TV in-wall rated?? Last I heard it wasn't, and that's the only thing that keeping me from buying this TV.
Alternatively, if it works without it being in-wall rated, then I guess I'll take the risk because I love the clean look.

I feel like the tv cable process is missing a few steps? Where does that cable go? Isn't there a second hole that needs to be created near the power source? Also, why is there no insulation in those walls - that would certainly make it more difficult.

Poorly thought out and communicated in regards to all of the steps necessary for this kind of project to be safe, successful, and actually work. Sure, the content created used a very minimal stud finder to locate the stud but didn't do any other checking to see what else was inside the wall such as electrical wiring, water pipes, or vents. Drilling into electrical wiring can be very harmful to you, possibly even fatal, or could even cause a fire. Never drill into a wall without knowing exactly what is in the wall, and where it is in the wall, that you're drilling into. As mentioned by others, there is no mention of how or where the cable that was run through the wall exited. As mentioned in another comment, what is the safety rating of the cable being run through the wall? If the cable isn't rated for in-wall use, the cable can pick up interference from other cables in the wall such as the electrical wiring and cause issues with the proper functioning of the device. The cables could also possibly get hot or get nibbled on by critters and cause a fire. Also, putting electronics in an enclosed cabinet without any ventilation is very unsafe. The electronics can overheat and become damaged or even start a fire. The use of angle adapters on COAX cables can add additional attenuation to the cable which might make the cable TV service and/or broadband internet service not work correctly or consistently. Plus, the content creator was using power tools without any PPE (personal protection equipment) such as safety glasses. This entire video is wrought with safety hazards. If the content creator did all of the appropriate research and checks then he needs to note that information in the video or at least comment that all possible safety concerns were investigated before the work was started. It looks like the content creator spent more time editing the video than actually researching the project and doing the work. If you have watched this video and are reading this comment, please do not do any work without protecting yourself, investigating the equipment you're dealing with to be sure it is safe for the desired use, knowing what you are cutting or drilling into, and ensuring that any and all electronics have proper ventilation. Do your research before hand to ensure you're not introducing any safety hazards or issues into your home entertainment setup and that you are performing any work safely. An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of regret.
