Happy to hear your husband is better. What a great jacket, Kim. It was interesting to hear how you made modifications as you went along. Beautiful job of lining it and the topstitching is perfection. Hard to believe your machine doesn't like doing it. It think the fit is good and if the snacking resumes, you know it will still be a good fit. I look forward to your videos every week and I'm excited for the ones coming up that you mentioned. Happy sewing.
@@kathymcconville6428 thanks Kathy. Hopefully snacking will commence soon 🤣🤣. Thank you for watching and supporting my little channel. It means so much. Have a fabulous week ❤️
@@linvin18 thanks Linda. Hubby is nearly back to his normal old rickety self. At least he got out of the house this week. I'm trying hard to stop him from over-doing things 😕 Have a lovely week ❤️
Hi Kym thankyou that was a lovely review of a men's jacket! It turned out fab! Yes I would love to see a video on the green machine please very curious. I use the Trello app for my patterns - I love it. As I make something I just add it to my trello and all my comments about the make. It's very helpful - I discovered it through Helen's Closet blog about Trello. Happy sewing Xx
@@kaarenmatthewson8241 hi Karen. I use Trello also. Might be interesting to see how we both use it. Food for thought! 🧐 Everyone seems interested to learn more about the green machine. Watch this space ❤️
@@AdamSews I've gone jacket mad lately Adam! They have all been such fun to make and this one especially was the best. So nice to make something for someone else and it looks so good. Good luck with your jacket sewing weekend ❤️

Fabulous jacket for hubs. It's the way I like to see jackets fit. It's not to big at all. I think it fits him lovely Kim. I'm not suprised he loves it. ❤😊
Hi Kim , lovely jacket, your sewing always looks high end and perfect! I will be interested in the green machine video ( great name btw). My husband has had lower back problems for years, he ended up in hospital, the physio there gave him floor exercises to do to strengthen his back . They have worked wonders , and might help your husband to see one too ? Bridget R
@@bridgetrsews thanks Bridget. Thanks for your kind words about hubby's jacket. I'll suggest a physio to him. He would benefit from some strengthening exercises. Pulling together the Green Machine video as we speak! ❤️
Glad to hear hubby is getting better. The jacket is lovely and suits him well. That arm detail at the back is very interesting. I managed to finish my Octave coat wearable muslin, using fabric I bought from FB marketplace, but I'm not too keen on the look of the finished item so I have purchased a couple of new coat patterns and will decide which one to use for my expensive fabric. Only trouble with that is that I now have to wait for the pattern to be printed, trace it off, make a muslin! I have another offer email from Sherwoods, but haven't bitten yet. Take care.
@@Yorkygirl59 thanks Diane. Hubby is keen to get out of the house to show off his new jacket. He's pleased as punch. Sometimes I like time to think and plan, so use this time to prepare. I've never been a quick sewist, too much of a thinker!! I read the pattern. The tracking is always a way for me to also understand the pattern I'll be sewing. Enjoy the process and can't wait to hear what pattern you choose. Have a lovely sewing week ❤️
@@stash_stitcher I sometimes take my time, especially if I'm not sure of something about the pattern - meno brain fog, I think! I might trace pattern one day, cut out fabric the next, start properly the following day! And so on. Other times I just crack on and it's like a marathon. I bought the Wardrobe By Me Classic Coat and Atelier Jupe Alex Coat, and have decided to go with the Classic to start with. The Alex has a back vent and the instructions for it are frying my brain already! I just dropped off some stuff at a local charity shop and had a bit of a browse, as I keep reading about people picking up fabric or patterns at bargain prices, and on the bedding rail there were two pieces of suiting fabric, one a black herringbone design, and one a brownish subtle check marked 100% superfine wool, both at £12.50. There are three metres of each 150cm wide. Grabbed them but not sure what they will be yet. Hubby spotted them and hinted at some trousers! Have a good weekend.
Sherwoods obviously got the jacket fabric description wrong as 9-10oz denim is suitable for jeans and jackets and chambray is lightweight. Chambray is usually 4oz
@@bevtooth I know Bev. I was surprised at its weight, but I got there in the end. The bonus of the interlining is that it adds a layer of warmth. Hubby's nice and toastie warm in his new jacket. Have a lovely week ❤️
Morning Kim, didn’t know where or how to send this to you privately, you may already know if you receive Hobbycraft notification emails but they have a Black Friday half price pattern offer on at the moment, I don’t know if the prices are good but I thought you might like to know or share, if you are allowed? Have a good day. 💜
