Awesome to see you use the Jack stand, so many younger guys trust the jack, NEVER trust a jack only, I've seen the results of a car falling on two people in my 57 years, once when I was 7 and again when I was 30, first one didn't live ,nobody knew he was even working on the car and didn't find him until many hours later, the other managed to get out after ripping the hide off his chest, head and back, he had a Jack stand but was on the grass which let the stand sink down and pin him. Just takes a few minutes to be safe, just don't want anyone to be hurt over an oil change or repair.
Make sure to drive the car first for a couple miles to heat up the oil. Also oil cap first will make the oil shoot out more because of the pressure. I’d say loosen the bolt and then oil cap off. Less mess
FYI, That filter wrench/tool you used is designed for a specific filter cartridge. There are filter housings that fit that took perfectly. Look at a toyota or a VW oil change and you will see what I mean.
THANK you for showing what you did with the tough oil filter. My husband just did the same thing as you and couldn’t get the overtightened oil filter off and bought those tools too and they didn’t work. I’ll tell him about the flathead screwdriver. 🙌🏽
Nice work... Someone really overtightened that drain plug. Kinda surprised to see you waste that new oil to flush out pan... Nice work on the filter. Probably overtightened as well.
There have been horror stories of service centers not even doing the job, doing half an oil change or using cheap or the wrong fluid. It is always best to do it yourself if you can, to ensure it is done properly using quality materials.
Last time I went they tried charging me 300$ for an oil change and a new filter. I argued back and forth with them and they changed the price to 100$ still a rip off. That’s why I’m watching this video lol
That oil filter Socket should have worked, if you had the correct one... I sometimes put a few layers of Duct Tape on the inside of the filter socket, so it grips the filter better and never had an issue breaking one loose.....On the new filter or the box, it will tell you how many Turns you need to do After the oil filter gasket contacts the engine... Usually 3/4 or 1 turn more...If you mark the filter after it touches the engine and then turn and watch the mark, you can see how far you have gone and know when to stop turning it tight... I did not see you change out the washer on the drain bolt...Did you do that ???
I've been changing my own oil since the 70's and always used an oil filter wrench to remove the oil filter and tighten the new one back... hand tighten is very dangerous I do not recommend hand tighten only
I have a 2015 Honda CRV with the same engine. It’s much easier to change the oil (and transmission fluid). I can remove drain bolt by lying on my back while the vehicle sits on the ground (no jacks or ramps). Also, there’s no plate to remove to gain access to the drain bolt. I use Valvoline 0W/20 full synthetic. My CRV burned oil when I changed from Valvoline to Mobil 1.
"Grab a screw driver like back in the day"😊 thanx for the vid...gonna do this to mine this weekend..the cvt drain n fill is super easy on this car!! Have u done that yet?

Good job young man, most of today’s generation don’t even know how to open the hood.

Nice u kick that oil filters butt
lmfao
Where’s the Jack points on this accord? I only know of the front and back. But where did you do it on the side?
Well done sir! Gonna start doing that to my wife's car. Honda over charges for oil changes
Indeed!! Everywhere will try to take advantage of you. As long as you gain the knowledge, you can do it yourself too!

Mi honda accord 2016 have 119000 miles what oíl i need pure...thanks
Thank you so much for this! Did my first oil change with my boyfriend and had a lot of fails lol
Nice job. I do the same way as u do. Use some new oil to push out the left over old oil

Great video

less work to do is always great! 😌
Umm, you know there’s a jacking point under the car in front of the engine, right? There’s an arrow that points to it. Thanks for the video though.
Those oil caps..no jk to get off..even if u barley tighten it
And stab the fuck out of it lmao!!! 🤣 .. Good video
This is great lmao
What is the name of the metal plate? I need to replace on my accord sport
I Google it and it's like under car shield or something like that. im not to sure exactly but I was able to find it with those key words
Very informative video. Thanks for this 💯💪🏾👍🏾

Thanks for making this video, it really helped me with my first oil change! Can you do a video changing transmission oil?
COBRA COMMANDER I agree this was helpful for first timers
hi! I'm glad this was helpful for u! I can do a trans oil change but sadly it won't be for the same car however it is the same concept
Is it same thing for the sport trim..
I would believe so .
Oil plug waaay too tight bro
Good looks bro
That was hard to watch
Oil filter. Not fuel filter
my bad if I said fuel filter
It was a dangerous position under the car. I will never do that.
Take the filter with you and by the way filter wrench
Man trust me , I been tried lol. It's all good tho, flat head always works for me
Wrong way ur 👞 bro before u get hurt lol
