Good work. My only concern is, warm oil is fine, hot oil can be bad if it spills on you. Overfilling your engine oil can be just as bad as under-filling. I’m almost certain your car does not take 5 quarts during oil change.

My wife has a 2018 TLX V6 and uses the same motor. 4.5 quarts. I just did a job on this 2017 V6 Accord and the same thing. I put in 4.5 quarts and gave the woman the extra half a quart (5qt jugs) and told her to check her oil every 1,000 miles and add it if needed.

What year is the engine? Depends if it has the variable lift and variable cam phasers like toyotas do which have smaller orificesthe oil has to travel through
But the 2002-2006 2.4 liter camry recommends 10w-30. vs 5w-20 for 2007-2009 Do your research also synthetic 10w-30 edge is lighter than gtx 10w-30. Pennzoil ultra platinum i think is thicker when i tilt the bottle vs platinum and regular Pennzoil 10w-30 my friend who work in oil laboratory told ne to use in 2011 for my 2011 camry and change 3000 miles. That api sn Pennzoil 10w-30 was thinner than api sm rated one from 2004-2010 and my guess is its similar to platinum Pennzoil and mobil super 5000 the conventional Mobil if you remember seeing

I like this video because he uses Castrol they seem more duro than pennzoil or valvoline or Mobil 1 there 5w-30 is too much duro like 5w-40 and my valve was knocking more cold start and hard acceleration. Shell rotella 5w40 my friend use on subaru wrx turbo in 2012 but i see at walmart only mobil 1 and quakerstate 5w40 I'll use quakerstate 5w40 1st because shell pennzoil quakerstate seem to be buttery soft to qute engine noise too unless thin 5w-20 then it break down too fast like butter
Mobil 1 5w-20 seems okay for NORMAL use not duro enough on track days 😂

Car takes 4.5 quarts and the K24 takes 4.3 quarts. You overfilled your oil by 1/2 a quart.

I got this car new in 2017 and I still have the same car and running great I never take my car to any mechanic for any reason so you can go ahead and do it the way you think is the best for you.
