- A seamless transition from recap to first scene, but there’s nothing seamless about Angela’s journey. This is it for her.
From Mr Robot Season 4 Episode 1 "401 Unauthorised" The season picks up from the previous season with Angela's conversation with Price. Angela demands revenge against Whiterose, but Price tries and fails to talk her out of it. While he walks away, Dark Army agents show up and kill Angela. Whiterose gives Elliot until the end of December to live, sending him a picture of Angela's body as a warning. In mid-December, Tyrell has become sullen and bored as the CTO puppet. Dominique has moved in with her mother and becomes very paranoid; her mother's new friend Janice is her new Dark Army handler, warning her to return to work to clean up Santiago's mess. Elliot and Mr. Robot work together to blackmail a lawyer, Freddy, and are able to get information that Whiterose uses Cyprus National Bank and John Garcin. Freddy kills himself when he realizes the Dark Army is after him. Darlene has fallen into addiction over guilt about Angela's disappearance (Elliot cannot bring himself to show her the proof of her death). Elliot investigates John Garcin, but it is a trap. Elliot is dragged away and injected by three men; he thinks he is about to die. The men revive him and Price reveals himself.

Hi friend Wagwan
hi mr bobot
never in my wildest dreams did i think that this would happen within the first 4 minutes of the new season
The recap to this was brilliant editing and pacing, this was top tier; season 3 even moreso.
yeah and especially with that camera work, having a main characters death not even being in focus, caught me completely off guard
Maybe you forgot about Season 2 episode 1, saw this coming from a mile away.
Had to edit because: omg when she said there is nothing you can do to stop me, you didn't see that red flag either?
@@Charles-ij1ow damn bro you're so smart!!
When Portia wasn't at the Season 4 premiere and I'd heard about Rami dumping her for his co-star in Bohemian Rhapsody...I had a feeling.
Seeing Philip Price, one of the world's most powerful men having literally no control over this situation and his desperation for Angela to say the right words to live... He's a mercenary. He'd rather see Zhang lose than win himself... this is what made him start to take the offensive with Zhang instead of being always on the defensive. Underrated character arc.
He always wanted to be the most powerful man in the room. He made it to where that was true, even with Whiterose in the room, for at least for a second.
This perspective... Man, thanks for sharing.
Mr robot, no words to describe it. Perfection its just close enough.
What's worse is unlike Elliot who started alone and ended with people around him, Angela died all alone at the end.
When i saw this sence it’s make me sad RIP Angela this show is too much emotional 👏🏽
@@nelsondbeats2557 Just heartbreaking
@@Z3kyTw0 i know it’s like I can’t watch Angela died but she was too much impliced 😭😩
she kinda did that to herself
@@apurvsharma1261 yeah I agree with that
Whiterose's mistake was not giving Phillip enough time to convince Angela and save her life, at the end killing her pushed Price to team up with Elliot.
To be fair, considering how hyper focused on her project, she couldn’t see herself failing from her poor decisions. She was told multiple times by two assistants to not trust Elliot, and both had insisted that he be eliminated. But, she couldn’t see past his usefulness for her project. I guess that’s one of her main flaws: she can’t see anything but her main goal fulfilled.
That was definitely a wild card that she didn't consider
It's not even about time.
WhiteRose could have kept her as a leverage over Price, but she is just too damn arrogant and delusional to consider, that her masterplan could have failed because of innocuous human factors.
Is that what Philip meant by "you didn't lose, you just ran out of time" at the end of the series?
I just realized something after watching this scene again. Price says that Whiterose didn’t give him enough time to try to convince Angela to save herself. When Whiterose loses his money and Price informs her that her project is dead, he tells him, “You didn’t lose. You just ran out of time.” And then it dawned on me: Price killed (or at least attempted to) Whiterose’s “child” after Whiterose had killed his.
Woah I never connected that before! Thanks for sharing. It adds even more depth to the dynamic relationship between Price and Whiterose.
@@dizzy_star You're welcome. I'm happy to have shared this. :)
Nice observation bud
the way you can hear the door open in the distance and see angela’s shock, but then they never show what it is she’s looking at is incredibly well done. they don’t show you WHY price and angela are acting the way they are. so you’re just staring as your screen yelling “what?! what is it?!” it creates such an intense feeling of confusion but undeniable dread at what, deep down, you know is to come. the last words between price and angela go on for so long that you start to question whether you actually DID hear a door open. maybe there’s no danger at all. maybe it’ll be okay. but then suddenly, when price turns the leave, you see the dark army pass him, so nonchalantly in the shot. and your heart just sinks. i’ll remember what it felt like to watch this scene for the first time for the rest of my life. BRILLIANT writing!
1:19 Angela sees dark army and freaks out but the audience never sees it until Angela's given her last words and Price walks away.
Ikr i just saw it
Usually I hate these kinds of off-screen tricks but I loved it here because it just made me think that some sad unknown realization clicked in her head instead of wondering why she froze like that
Never even noticed that. I wondered why she looked scared.
1:19
Angela’s arc it’s still so sad to watch. I like that in her final moments she gives Price some of his own medicine. And Portia Doubleday did such a great job with this role
Michael Cristopher is not a good actor,
he's a GREAT actor.
Just reading up on him, he as a Pulitzer Prize, he’s written screenplays for the greats. Newman, Nicholson, Streep, DeNiro, Crowe.. incredible talent.
The moment Angela sees the Dark Army in the distance and realizes she just signed her death warrant 150%, and that look of utter despair and terror washes over her... It hits me in such a hard way. It's rare a show or movie makes me sad to the point that I'm choking up, while simultaneously putting a pit of dread and fear in my stomach.
That's only possible when a writer knows how to truly grab you and put you in their world completely, and Sam Esmail has FUCKING GOT IT.
I missed that, lol
She had everything coming
I rewatch this show every year, and it still hits hard every time.
@@kennycodes S4 is SOOO good!! I hope you enjoy the ending!

I'm just about to start my yearly rewatch, its perfect to have the Christmas timings line up between the show and IRL for that extra immersion. New Year = New Elliot.
This show is terrible bru 💀
@@realovio then why are you here bruh💀
This is one of the best made scenes of all time. The directing, cinematography, acting, this single scene solitifies Angela's tragic character arch and helps Phillip get his redemption.
I can still remember what people said one hour after this episode released:
It was mind-blowing.
Angela too
The transition from the recap to the actual scene, this show was next level
I think this is the moment that Price basically died. He just gave up on self preservation and decided to pull the nuclear option and finally go directly to Elliott.
Watching these clips again made me forget how much of a threat the dark army was
God this show is so good. The restraint the director shows in not showing you the hitmen when Angela first sees them
Angela had so many people around her and people cared for her, this was around the time Elliot had nearly nobody. It’s kinda ironic how Angela died alone, but at this time so many people stood up for Elliot and actually had people around him. Kinda tragic but an amazing character arc and seeing her spiral down like this was heartbreaking tbh
Price is such an interesting character
The only person he seemed to care about besides himself was Angela
@@mlbp2567 Of course lol, that's his daughter.
Right after this apparently white rose sent a pic of Angela's corpse to Elliot. What a savage
gangster move
Pretty fucking satisfying when Elliot (Mastermind and Mr Robot) and Darlene, with the help of Price, robbed the Dark Army and the Deus Group of their money and influence a few episodes later, putting an end to Whiterose's delusional bs permanently
Spoiling a major plot point is pretty crazy
Such an amazing scene. I wasn’t sure something was off until that walk away was extended, then enter the dark army. I remember barely reacting to this scene because I simply could not believe what happened.
Mr. Robot was and still is truly ahead of its time. A grand masterpiece that I'm glad we got to share together, friend.
Ironically...she kind of reunited with her mom after all.
Almost poetic, since it was her endgame all along.
Even worse she gave up and shunned the people who loved her...which caused her to die alone
I’ll never forget screaming “THATS ANGELA” as if they didn’t know who they just killed off
Poor Angela
White rose manipulate her so hard
2:51 to 3:51 is one of the most riveting minutes in television history
Never thought I'd feel bad for Philip Price. Outstanding character.
Her acting in this scene was so.. sooo… Accurate
She was perfect
Even though I've seen the entire series, I'd forgot about this and each of these videos I watch are like spoiling it for myself for a future rewatch. I love this show so much!
Angela took the L
Lmao rip Angela
rip bozo
That lower quadrant framing makes everything so disturbing and detached. Loved every second of it.
I was just looking for this the other day, thank you Mr. Robot.
She actually went into protective service, this scene broke all ties and she moved to Reno Nevada. She shows up working at a bowling alley in the new series.
This was Whiterose's "fatal error".
This scene would even make Shakespeare blush with envy.
This will never be easy to watch
that's so beautiful and heartbreaking...
This scene is actually very realistic in that, no matter how important the character is, they can die just as easily as any other person in the show, just like in real life.
Shorty got clipped before the opening title💀
very sad starting scene of season 4. Its really sad what is happen with Angela :(
could say it started off with a bang
Where was this scene filmed? It's quite a location.
She deserved better!
"so you should propbably leave". How did she know?
The song at the beginning just makes my heart break even more. It kind of tricks the audience (or maybe I’m the only one lol) into thinking there might be hope for Angela. But there isn’t. She’s only a few minutes away from losing her life. No matter how many times I rewatch this show, Angela’s fate never hurts less. Her entire storyline is so tragic. Whiterose used her, brainwashed her, and left her as a shell of her former self. But then just when she starts to come out of the fog and wants to take action, it all comes to an end.
Edit to add: The song is called 3.9_3-wo-ai-ni.0cc by Mac Quayle for anyone who might be wondering.
Angela should've lived, and been a pivotal part of the season.
Portia Doubleday asked to be removed from the show due to a bad breakup with Rami Malek. I agree her death was rushed 😢
@@youniverse- She shouldn't have dated him, it's not professional, and she could've just accepted her bad decision and carried on with the story for the people who supported her career by watching it.
Angela debió engañar a whiterose, y seguir adelante.
Idk why but there was something satisfying about all the shot to the head scenes in this entire series.
Goddamn it, why is RUclips recommending me scenes from Mr Robot again? I want to rewatch the show now
You have no idea how angry this made me. I was having a meltdown
She deserved none of this.
You’re looking at it the wrong way.
Angela was a liability, a traitor, and her naïveté led her to a dangerous path: the path of the devil (White Rose).
She was more loyal to White Rose than anyone in her life, including those closest to her. Like Elliot said at one point, that Angela “doesn’t love the ones who love her.”
Even though she eventually realized that what she did was wrong, she had to pay the price for her defection. Although, she found that out when she saw death staring her from a distance…when it was too late.
This was Shiv Roy in the alternate timeline
Does someone know the song/score name of the song that's in the beginning? It's played a few times in the show but I can't find it
This hurt. She was just a lost little girl.
In the light of a sunny day on a barren golf course bereft of purpose, fully decadent lifelessness; Price set up his only investment worth anything and cashed out. Some people see this life as a value commodity, brokering one’s own soul and seed for power and recognition. This is the tragedy that is the consumer and the almighty corporate capitalist.
most heartbreaking scene damn
Emotional damage
Moss? Like a small peice of moss?? An angela moss woman. Like a moss you know? XD
Poor Angela
Whats the name of the ost at the beginning?
think my favorite scene of the show
This sound just like the agency doesn’t?
Wowzers
This scene haunts me
At 1.16 did she know she will be kill ?
I just don't understand why Price would just walk past the two men that were sent to kill his daughter. Even if others were sent to complete the job, I would think that he would try to take at least these two out.
Given the fact he was wired means he was in position where his life has most likely been threatened before the events of this scene.
Also worth mentioning is that he was Angela's parental figure for short period of time, so he was not attached to her as one might think a father would be to a daughter.
Now, he is the character that plays the long game so taking all of this into account, his intuition probably told him it was the best possible thing to do at specific moment.
May the actor wanted to walk away.. so they made it this way. Tragic though. We can come up with our own explanations from the story perspective.
I was so confused when they shot her
Wow, I didn't expect that.
Wait a second, wait a second… Since when Mr.Robot is in 4K?
Can‘t check it right now but I think this video is upscaled to 4K
@@ricardoorru9157 There's no point in upscaling a video to 4K. The series must have been shot digitally; for whatever reason, they took this clip out of the 4K master.
Season 5 squad
what are the links in your about channel section?
Idk why Prime cut this scene out for me. I was so confused if she was alive or not that I had to come yo YT to see it
Auto removing intros?
I had such a difficult time to finish season 2 and 3. I found it too slow. I for whatever reason enjoyed Angela as a character.
Then they killed her in the first 5 minutes into the final season.
Lmao.
They made Price into such an idiot when they imply he did not predict her reaction. In Season 3 finale, he says EVERYTHING Angela needs to hear to want revenge. its like he goads her into it while intending the exact opposite. Which is made even weirder considering he spends Season 2 analyzing her actions and admiring her determination.
Weird lapse of writing in an otherwise immaculate show.
There's a new season?
Season 4 (final season) came out in 2019. The channel still clips consistently every few days.
Why did he agree to wear the wire for White Rose? I forget.
It was so he could record her saying she would give up on revenge against White Ross which would make her harmless and no need to be killed
Is this a joke ? Wonderful acting....
I was sure her death was faked but it wasn't :(
this is the scene where the head of america's biggest bank's daughter gets shot with a bullet to the head and the ceo is there to observe and he even warns her before he tries his best but nevertheless he fails
CASSIE from Euphoria's TWIN! 😍😍😍
No shot
You are right...Angela and Cassie are very similar
Honestly i hated her character, but man is she an amazing actor
I lost interest in Mr. Robot once it became about "voices in my head!!" with Daddy. Scenes like this make me consider trying a new binge fest with the show.
I've seen the show twice (On my 3rd watch currently for fun), it's worth it. I agree that 2/4 seasons are kinda slow (via Elliot's POV cause it's about him and Mr. Robot not really doing much on the outside world from a certain place they're in) but if you get invested in the outside characters apart from him, it's interesting. Considering how characters like Angela, Mr. Price, Tyrell, Darlene, Detective DiPierro, etc, grow over the 1-4 seasons, it's very intriguing. Cause some stay true to their nature, some switch their motives, etc. I was fascinated with watching the whole thing the first time, it's better (for me personally) watching it a 2nd/3rd time knowing the revelation on how and why things happened and viewing certain moments from an exposed lens and catching clues that was at first odd from the first watch.
PS. God, I totally understand the daddy moments. It was a good reveal in S1 but played out a bit in later seasons, but what can you do when the main "voice" is a persona of your dad? lol
God and his daughter
Why don’t she just… run ? And why his father didn’t try to save her ? Even if there is 1% chance…

She was close knit to the Dark Army's operation. She's seen what they can, have done, and will do. They're relentless, and she knows it. As soon as she saw those Dark Army walk out the door, she knew she'd be feeding the soil. There is no 1 percent chance.
They made her so unlikable by the end of her character arc I didn’t really care for her death

Total BS. The finale was some of the worst writing I have ever seen to explain everything. And kill off the final boss. As if they started a mystery without ever having an explanation. And after a bunch of seasons cannot figure out how to explain everything. So have us complete nonsense and kill off the main love interest.

this show really went off the rails around season 3, season 4 was the final nail in its coffin.

She deserved it tbh. She was such a boring character
I'm just curious if these actresses have been in anything since. Either a star's shelf life is almost nothing nowadays, or they haven't found much, regardless of talent I saw in this show.
Hollywood is 99% curated and controlled. Rami was popular enough for more roles to justify letting him in the club. Others? F off, bums!
This clip incapsulates one of this show's biggest strong points, realism.
There was no dramatic send off. In fact Angela was out of focus and nearly off screen when she was killed off. No smile as a gun is put to her head or anything, she just drops in the background of the shot. It genuinely shocked me, and although I was sad, I was so happy to feel a sense of mortality for each character in the show, that any of them could just die at any second of any episode. That sense of surprise and constant fear of death is completely absent in most shows. Mr. Robot is LITERALLY the best show I've ever watched. It doesn't even come close.
💯
Yeah, and it was a different feeling from something like GOT style mortality.
The characters aren't as distant, you feel like you could live down the block from and even be old high school friends with F Society members.
So when you're finally hit with that moment, it hurts so much more. Even Shayla, as little as we really got to know her. You feel the loss with Elliot through the rest of the series. There's a void left, that Sam Esmail fills brilliantly with Elliot's thoughts and how each loss affects him further.
@@treefingers6572well said! Even dramas like Grey's Anatomy didn't give enough characterization to reach this level
The only other show I watched where a main character could die in any episode was the Oz series, an older show about life locked up in a maximum security US prison. They literally had the narrator killed so I thought that was the end of the series but it was not. I have to admit it was a strange choice having him continue to narrate after being deceased in the show. Perhaps it was a business related choice.
Ozark does this really well too, i suggest you watch that too. It's such a masterpiece

I think one of the saddest parts for Phillip Price is Angela forfeited her life right after she learned she is his daughter, that is, she didn't just reject his protection, she rejected _him._
