this song is amazing, got to meet them last nite at a private radio session, before there concert in buffalo ny.. got a signed BURN BURN cd and the whole cd is amazing. truely great!!! and raine and steve are so amazing to talk to one on one. amazing artist!!!
OLP has pretty much ALWAYS been one of my favorite bands. I find myself loving, or at least liking, all of their songs. "Somewhere Out There", "Starseed" and "Angels Losing Sleep" (even though the band NEARLY broke up during the making of that one).. these three were the greatest. And so when they finally came out with this album I had been anxiously awaiting.. I didn't have high expectations, cuz I've been disappointed by other bands' new albums. But! I found myself loving this song.
I did listen to all OLP albums. Can't wait for the 9th one to be released...soon I hope!. Meanwhile, I will see them performing next week in Montreal :)
You keep getting ready for that big parade? I think this songs is just a trip through life....ending in that big parade, which to me, screams as a metaphor for your funeral procession and that parade of cars that folows you to your final resting place
Kayla Happy That's brilliant. Makes so much sense. We go through this bullshit grind almost every day for most of our lives but there's only one way it ends.
I completely wrote off this album after hearing the first single. I...actually enjoyed this though. Are there any other gems on this album that nobody told me about?
Actually... I'm pretty sure it's: "I Was thinking that if you know a way out, then I'd like to go with you. We can burn out like candles under that paper moon."
I agree with you, about the song not compairing to older albums. Bands change unfortunately. I can hear some parts that remind me of the old, but just not feeling the excitement flowing through my veins when I listen to the new stuff. Great bands like this one, 10years, Goo Goo Dolls, they're just not the same anymore...
Not quite sure what awful albums you're referring to? Healthy in Paranoid times was def not mainstream, but there were still a few songs I liked on that album...every other one has been sick. Happiness is not a fish that you can catch, Gravity, Live, Spiritual Machines, Clumsy! All great albums. this one will also join the ranks of great albums. 6/7 GREAT albums, and 1 decent one...i'd say that's pretty damn good.
this song is alright, in fact it had all the makings of an awesome song, except, imo, Raine's voice. I guess he can't really hit the same notes he used to be able to, but if he did his falsetto voice a little more in this song, ...wow...
"If you know a way out then I'd like to go with you" such a beautiful line
How did this one not get more recognition!!!
One of their best songs!
Yep
I always thought this song feels very pre-Gravity. Like it would fit in well around the time they released Happiness. Great great tune.

this is a masterpiece song
The more I listen to this song, the more I appreciate it !
Stephanie Buoy check out some of their other stuff. I have been rocking them for 20 years! Going to a concert of theirs this November 🤗
I did listen to all OLP albums. Can't wait for the 9th one to be released...soon I hope!. Meanwhile, I will see them performing next week in Montreal :)
the best song they've ever written in my opinion, my fave
Hipsters trapped in their own Irony. That line is priceless.
Can not stop listening to this since seeing them in concert....
I soo agree, thats what i like about our lady peace's music theres always some sort of meaning :)
The guitar in this song is amazing
An na excellent tone
It sounds a lot like Mike Turner's style, which is was refreshing to hear
Tears* Another beautiful one!
Album is sounding gooood! July 28th in W. Hollywood! I can't wait!
Another fabulous song from OLP!!!
our lady peace is my favorite band ever and this album is fuckn amazin. one of their best but theyre all so good
It just took me like, half an hour to learn how to play this on guitar.
OLP is awesome!
I was there, it was an amazing show I'll never forget.

Our Lady Peace = Greatest band ever
I Lovveee This Song!!!
it's called falsetto, and I'm glad Raine got back to doing that, he's great at it :3
Changed the lyric. Thanks guys!
awesome! =) 19 days to showtime :D
If you have the CD put it on youtube!!!!!!! or send me it lol.. because that would be awesome
They should put this on the sound track for paper towns ;P
I used to always think if I knew someone who knew a way out, that I would go. Now so torn
I think its one of the best song.
the falsetto is the highlight of the song
the "high, low pitch" that you're talking bout he does loads in HIPT.
where'd you learn how to play it? The only thing I can find of this song on the internet is chords, but I want to learn the solo
OLP are awesome.
YEAHH HE HAS A LITTLE OF HIS HIGH-LOW PITCH VOICE THINGY IN THIS SONG :D
after so long
Yeah, that seems to be it. For some reason I had trouble with that lyric
Actually... I'm pretty sure it's:
"I Was thinking that if you know a way out, then I'd like to go with you.
We can burn out like candles under that paper moon."

fucking life changing.
errr... mistake in the lyrics.
he says "hipsters trapped [...]", not "hips just trapped [...]"
haha. it's called Falsetto. He loves to use it in a lot of his songs.
Not quite sure what awful albums you're referring to?

This song is better than their single.
Wtf.. where did this come from? 😂
this song is alright, in fact it had all the makings of an awesome song, except, imo, Raine's voice. I guess he can't really hit the same notes he used to be able to, but if he did his falsetto voice a little more in this song, ...wow...
made amv with this one
If you pay attention to the lyrics, it sounds like the song is talking about suicide
Keane
*Naveed as well... so 7/8
:)
Innocent and Somewhere Out There - probably in the top five WORST songs across all of their albums.
zzzzzzzz
