- Yes, I sang "overcome" at the end of the choruses just like Y.Chang and Midiguy. There was just no other way to word it.

Believe it or not, this was the very first cover I worked on for Naruvember and I'm glad that it's finally done.
This song is still surprisingly difficult for me to sing and I had to redo the lines more times than I could bear to count. Gah, it was so frustrating, but the fact that I pushed myself so hard means that I was able to improve a lot in the process.
As for why I chose to sing this song, I'm reminded of my best friend, who's depression and anxiety has changed him so much that he's nearly unrecognizable from how he used to be when we first became friends.
He's still my friend, but I find myself asking so many questions about it all:
-How many times have I pretended that he was the same person?
-How many times have I ignored his times of suffering and acted as if he'd get over it overnight, only to find that he was still in pain several days later?
-How much pain have we both had to endure and try to overcome?
-How many times have I resented him for changing when he didn't even want his mental illness to worsen?
-How many times have I refused to admit that I've changed as well?
-And how many times have I forgotten that, with enough time, communication, and prayer, many of our disagreements could have been solved more easily?
I'll never know and I'll drive myself mad trying to figure it out.
What matters, however is that, just like how Naruto and Sasuke still shared their bond of friendship at the end of it all, so do my friend and I. And that's what I need to lean into in order to fight against the pain and confusion that constantly war against me.
I know that, one day, God will make sense of all of this and singing this song reminds me of that truth, so, as always, guys, enjoy and God bless!

I think it's meant to show the direct line of succession sort off, since each person before the one the left was their primary sensei
@@ryedj707 We are unaware of Minato Namikaze sensei, whether or not he died or was with him to the end. Jiraiya's sensei- Hiruzen Sarutobi was alive for the most parts of Jiraiya's life so since he had already gained recognition amongst shinobi it Hiruzen's depart would be more impactful emotionally rather than affecting his development. With all this been said, I feel like Iruka is still missing because what the song itself is driving would be some sort of melancholic feeling where you recognize those who helped you throughout the way, and who pops up first? Iruka!

@@ambalajr3182 No worries, and I get what you're saying, but it's kind of irrelavent if minato died or not, since his Primary teacher - if not ONLY teacher was Jiraiya, and Kakashi's only teacher was Minato. It's meant to show the line in that sense, adding Iruka - as important as he is to Naruto wouldn't make sense with the chronology of this image in particular, just like how adding Nagato after Jiraiya wouldn't fit in. If this just showed who shaped Naruto (Iruka, Kakashi, Jiraiya, Minato+Kushina, Killer Bee.) Then it would make sense. Though to be fair we're arguing over someone's art which is kinda pointless lol. If you want something in it that's fine and your opinion. I think the point of the piece - the artist's intent - is to show the teaching being passed on in a line, and nothing outside of that line.
