Nicely done. When you pollinate a quality pumpkin plant to keep those good genetics do you pollinate with male flowers from the same plant or a completely different plant?
I do a controlled hand pollination for each pumpkin. Sometimes I cross with another plant and sometimes I self them. It just depends on the traits I am trying to select for. Good question.
How long should i let the main vine grow past the pumpkin provided there is ample space? do nutrients flow backwards towards the pumpkin? (dont have many secondary's)
There are mixed opinions on this one. I remove some mains after the fruit and I keep others. If you need the salad then I would recommend letting it fill the space. Yes they back feed but not as strongly as they forward feed from my experience.

@docrodebaugh thank you for the help. I was just worried about inbreeding depression from selfing but that may not even be a thing with squash.
Any updates on your pumpkins or did I miss a video? Hope is all well.
Looking good Doc keep it up
Thanks for the tip about pre mixing powders in a bucket...I've never been happy with the mixing of my fulvic/humic acids....I'll start doing this.
Looks good Chris!
Thank you Susie.
Love these videos. What do you spray to kill the grass? My weeding is getting a bit behind
