  • Drosera macrantha tuberous sundew update with Timelapse feeding using freeze dried bloodworms. Update on this plant.
Drosera macrantha, the bridal rainbow, is a scrambling or climbing perennial tuberous species in the carnivorous plant genus Drosera. After unboxing it was planted just at the right time. These tubers store energy and nutrients for the next growing season. They come out during the cold season. When the plants reach the surface that is when you begin to water the plant and it begins to form leaves then will flower. During summer when it is dry, they are underground. Drosera macrantha must be planted in the summer or early fall. Tubers can be planted in peat moss, sphagnum moss and perlite along with carnivorous plant sand mix.
