Thanks! Thanks for watching aswell!
for the drosera capillaris, do you have any care tips? i want mine to grow gigantic like yours
feed em weekly! also give them good consistent light thats on a timer! I have a video about sundew care as well! Good luck!
Do you sell seeds??
your b52 looks like its planted to deep
Maybe thats why it died
Nice sarracenia, did you by any chance get them from Jerry Addington? That hybrid you first showed kind of looks like a cultivar called Prometheus. One of his own creations.
I got them from a a guy named Jack
May I suggest nepenthes? They are my favorite carnivorous plant genus
I want some they just grow pretty big and they can be expensive for the cool ones!
@@TechplantChannel well many do except for the ones I get that just decide to decline in health no matter how much care I give them
How you don't get algae?
thats a good question, i think because there are 0 nutrients in the water
@@TechplantChannel you are lucky! I always get like 50% of my carnivorous plants contaminated with algae, but I change the top layer and hope for the best xD
What soil mixture are you using for the carnivorous plants?
pool filter sand, peatmoss, sphagum moss. I dont like peatmoss anymore becuase its so acidic it was burning my sundews
@@TechplantChannel
Thanks!
YEAH BOI
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Have you thought about getting a cobra lilly?
Eventually. I gotta get some pings too!
Cool! My friend is obsessed with carnivorous plants, especially the water wheel and the rainbow byblis.
hello. i just got 1000 watt grow lights (people said it prolly wasnt 1000 watts. but i couldnt find power consumption info) how far should my plant be away from the light?
really hard to say without knowing the wattage, but just put your hand on the plants and see if you feel a lot of heat if not its probably good but check on them every hour or so
Techplant they feel normal. Not too hot not to cold. Should they feel a little warmer than usual?
Gnarly collection man! Where would a guy have to look to find some of his own?
There are some good facebook groups out there. I would recommend meeting someone local to get some!
How old is your B52?
im not sure but i had it for about 1.5 years. It actually died like yesterday RIP. I went on vacation and it dried out...... pour some distilled water on the floor for our dead cps :(
@@TechplantChannel omg F in the chat for the big boi :( I got those ones in tissue culture, they're supposedly B52 and they're soooo tiny but then again I've only had mine since January. Are you planning on getting another one?
where did you buy those plants? i want to buy too.
people on facebook, facebook.com/jackscarnivorousplants/
Techplant thanks
Nice Video! How do you feed carnivourous plants?
Use a syringe to meticulously put droplets of liquid fertilizer on the leaves lol. takes a lot of time but if it gets in the soil they die.
@@TechplantChannel I saw bugs stuck to them I thought maybe you release a swarm of flies inside their box
@@5660mccartm No they just exist in my room and torment me. Luckily the lights over those plants are on the latest so all teh flys always go there to die.
do you keep em indoors? i live in a condo so im buying led grow lights right now. is the purple and blue light the only good option?
yup, I keep them indoors! and the purple ones work fine
Techplant I couldn’t find any perlite or peat moss. Only vermiculite and sphagnum moss. Is that ok?
Can i buy the whole collections from you?
Ive got multiples of many of them, where do you live?
如何防止发霉
Thanks for watching
Nice collection! What do you feed your plants?
I use Maxsea, and a small syringe to put drops on the leaves!
Nepentheeees. Where they at
I have one... but its like the one you get at the store in that little plastic box... i'm embarrassed because i don't have cool species.
Very interesting plants. Don’t have any but now I’m intrigued. Are the tiny green plants in the pots the germinated seeds of the parent? Is so, do you have to thin them out?
I will remove them so they can get bigger in their own pots!
who has come from How Does the RUclips Algorithm Work? A Guide to Getting More Views article
Really?
@@TechplantChannel why you are surprised?
Aren't you the one who put the reference links there
Which one eats roaches
some pitcher plants can be big enough to eat a roach
I thougt it Said coronavirus😂
lol, there are a few views on this because of that lol
Techplant haha i could imagine. Love your Channel 😀
When you talk about feeding the plants, to keed them alive, what type of feeding are you talking about, insekts or nutrition ?
Both, Because i have fungus gnat infestation in my other plants they eat a lot of them. But i also mix Maxsea in distilled water and use a small medical syringe to put droplets on the leaves. If you get it on the soil you could kill the plant. I can make a video about feeding these soon!
@@TechplantChannel That could be nice, i have fungus gnats in my plants to, so now i have ordered some seeds of the Drosera Filiformis hoping to get some nice new plants, to help fighting the gnats.
Thanks for sharing.
you can feed them with fish food, too, they react very fast (I made some timelapse movies about it)
I misread the thumbnail as
MY BUG, EATING PLANTS lol
lol
Do they need grow lights
if you want to prevent them from going through dormancy periods then yes, because the natural sun cycle will send them into it. Plus with grow lights you can make sure they get enough light to produce the nice red colorations
How do you feed them , can you demonstrate please
I have a video about it! its actually really easy!
