- If you don’t know by now, our man Vinny enjoys the variety that car life brings. So after serving him for many years and many, many laps at racetracks - it was time to say goodbye to his trusty E46 M3. The replacement? Arguably the best sounding M3 of them all: the E92. High revving V8, super nice in the street. What do you think, is this thing a come-up?

The car is old enough that It was most likely done by the previous owner. If it was my car I would just send a oil sample to get tested for excessive bearing wear
joey gonzalez or the previous owner was unloading it because it’s close to bearing replacement mileage. There’s a reason that there are so many e90/92 m3’s for sale with around 80,000 miles
@@benr4677 I see where you're coming from but do you think people are really that hesitant to have a 2k-5k service done on a car that was almost 80k msrp brand new? I'm not a e90/e92 expert but most of them seem to be well taken care of by their owners. Either way if you're someone who is interested in buying a e90/e92 I would hope they get service records for the car and are financly ready to have the service done themselves

Dct swapping mine rn, actual killer car
Any idea who tunable the N53 engine is? Picked up my 07 E93 back in February, just about finished with aesthetic mods (need coils I think) and now to move onto ones for more power. 3 Litre straight 6, puts out about 218bhp which I feel isn't enough!
bcwlstd hmmm I’m not super familiar with the n53, but from what I do know you’re gonna be more limited power wise. ‘Cause the n54 is twin turbo, literally a flash tune and nothing more took me to 360hp, and a couple minor mods (exhaust, intake and intercooler) had me just over 400 but the n53 won’t respond as well. A good tune might give you a little bump (like max 10hp) so probably not worth the cost, but I’d still go with the usual full exhaust+headers, intake and throw as much of a tune at it as you can. Your only really big jumps in power are gonna be forced induction unless you’re gonna spend big bucks on cams, crank and so on. I did some research and it looks like they take supercharging pretty well, and that’s pretty easy to install plus you keep the n/a power delivery

Best first mods to do and you did them all by yourself from home, props to you Vin. Gives hope to other car enthusiasts who tend to go to shops for installs that they can do it from home.

you don't need bulk cash to have a couple projects. I've got 4 sitting out in the yard plus my truck for dragging them around and i know i don't make money like any of these guys. just gotta pick projects you can afford.

I'll be forever jealous, how you look under the cars over there and the floor, suspension, subframes, everything is mint and looks borderline new, while my UK '05 MX-5 is one shade of brown underneath.

Love the E92, Last atmo, v8, and its a proper looking coupe. These will sky rocket in price in the upcomming years.
Litterally my all time favorite car, and i love that someone agrees with me on the specs. NO sunroof, NO outdated navigation NO unnecessary dumb shit. Just car, pure raw car. :) Great video aswell, keep the m coming champ :D

Had the same “Mac schnell” seat adapters in my e30 15 years ago. Made by VAC motorsports. Great parts.
Talking to EAG, Ohio on a 2013 Lime rock, and this was the result for the Rod Bearing, and throttle Body Actuator solution. Rod Bearings: BE Bearings (Part Number: BE-SP11527HK-S65), BE-Bearings designed , manufactured by Clevite and BMW to create the replacement for the bad designed OEM part. Also suggested done at same time (Part Number: BE-CRB50-S65) BE Rod Bolts Designed by BE Bearings and Manufactured by ARP. Throttle Body Actuator issue (plastic internal Gears wearing out) Lang Racing Development worked with OdometerGears to create Carbon Filled High Temp Nylon, also is a USA Manufacturer. Sick ride man and great video, earned a new subscriber here.

My grandad made a nice tool to push in the brake pistons...
Take the back plate to an old brake pad, drill and tap a whole in the centre, screw in a bolt. Cheap no thrills alternative 👌🏼
Cut the two "ears" off a harmonic balancer puller and it works well.

Make sure you crack the bleeder when you push the caliper back. Idk if u did. But it's not the best to push the fluid all back through the system. If there's any gunk anywhere it can get in the ports in the master. More for service tho. I'm sure you flush ur brakes 😉

I can relate to the low option package cars.
I bought an IS300, and could only get the Sport (instead of Sport Luxury) and was pretty bummed at the time.
But I actually prefer the half suede half leather seats of the sport, instead of full leather. And like Vin mentioned, the satnav that came with the Luxury package is SUPER dated now. And I get an extra cupholder! :D
Yo Vin dog's actually dig holes like that to get to the deeper cooler dirt to lay in. I learned that from my Aunt who is a Vet. My dog used to do the same thing and I live in Arizona so he did it alot haha

The x exhaust has to do with exhaust pulses not temp. It is most likely located half way between the original location and the cylinders, at the harmonic. Lastly, it's likely you would be sacrificing low end power for peak by moving it, so it's your preference on the curve.
I like your wheels and tires. maybe one day i'll buy one of these m3's. i've always kind of wanted a bmw so i dont have to use my turn signals anymore.... i kind of wanted a new a10 coyote mustang next, but maybe i'll wait on that.
