The tattoos are bloody awesome......made a huge difference. I love these experiments and they would be so helpful to resin crafters. Love watching you create these and trying out new techniques.
The tray turned out so awesome! I honestly think that it looks like an underwater scene - it's gorgeous. And a few little fish and nobody would think badly of the bubbles... ;-)

Hey, You don't know what's gonna work until you try. Some of the best recipes created were experiments!!!Love the bubbles, pieces look like emeralds, I love these. Thank you, Claire You cover things wIth tattoos I hide things I don't like with glitter. LOL The bubbles make them look like an undersea world!
hi hun I think that they came out looking great very rustic and very country or cottage farm items once again you have done a wonderful job well done 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 xxx
Hiya Claire I really like these pieces even though they were experinents, they turned out really pretty, love the colours. The round pot likes looked like glass and the tray was beautiful with the tattoo, you always seem to suprise yourself how good your experinents turn out, lovely tfs Jax 🥰 x
The tray is gorgeous! I wonder if the jesmonite would sink if the resin had time to thicken up? I know it’s a fast cure already so don’t know if it would flash cure if let in a cup for a little while…. Lots of questions!! X
thank you so much lovely xxx yes a few have asked if I couldlet the resin thicken ... but I think it would definitely be better results. I am going to try it .. and maybe use normal resin as you're right ... this super fast cure resin is more likely to flash cure
I love it! I haven't been able to find Jasminite in the U.S. until yesterday and I finally found some at Five Below and plan to try it with Redin! Thank You
You reminded me.. I have things for you.. pokes on Instagram lol. That jesmonite green is amazing... O.o wow. I didn't think this would work anything more than 3 percent acrylic paint in resin can cause a fire.. so my heart was pounding for you! But given unlike acrylic paint jesmonite doesn't have so much water in it .. and it cures so fast.. I think that's why it worked!! The weird formations is the resin fracturing with the water content. I think it happened on the tray cus it was thinner where the pot has a deeper resin section once it had risen
You know what? Here's what I thought when I first saw the trinket holder...think of a tropical rain forest with the lush green on the trees, misty rain making bubbles on the leaves and all over, the sound of the birds joyously chirping in the light rain, beautiful green frogs all shiny and wet. That is what I saw at the reveal! I absolutely LOVE that piece! ♥️ ♥️ ♥️ I am so bummed that we can't get jesmonite here in the USA. Well, we can get it but it is two to three times more expensive than resin because it has to come from Canada or the UK. Perhaps by the time I get better working with resin, it will become available here. I wouldn't sand that piece at all. I would just put a top coat of resin, and maybe a sealant on the rest. Marvelous!
Unusual finish.. maybe waiting till the resin is towards the end of its working time, so thicker, before pouring 😊 For the bubble problem might a sealant coat solve that ?😊
I’ve too coated Jesmonite with resin and what I’ve learnt is that you need to nurse it along. It seems that as Jesmonite is a porous material, it creates bubbles. If you keep checking, every 30 minutes or so, you can zap them.
Thank you so much Kim xx I have probably top coated about 4 Jesmonite ... plain Jesmonite trays and honestly never had an issue with air ... might be because they were cured weeks before I top coated I dont know .. but these definitely needed the nursing
Great experiment Claire with beautiful results. I just wanted to ask you, do you know if I use temp tattoo’s on jesmonite, can I just use jesmonite sealer on them to stop the stickiness of tattoos?
Did those bubbles destroy the surface of the tattoo? It was crisp before, and I realized some of the numbers were nearly gone. So did the air bubbles went through the tattoo?
heyyyyyy Una ... ya know ... I didnt even notice I will have to look at it properly but quite possibly x So frustrating I have never had issues with tattoos and top coating ... I have done it loads x
Heyyyyyyy my lovely ... ohhhh sadly I do not know much about Cement 😢😢 I've only used its a couple times about 5 years ago. I will have a play with more I think 😍😍😍
@@ClairesCraftyCorner I'm sooo sorry to bother you again, but I've searched your temporary tattoos file now 3x and it not there ... at least on my end? I'm in Canada. Maybe your mistaken in the tattoo itself? It is the one with the vintage pocket watch with roses around it that you added to your jesmonite dish that you use often. It turned out beautiful in the end. Have I lost my mind maybe ?? 🤪
I tried this a while ago but like a big fool I let the resin cure before adding the jesmonite which of course did not pick up the resin at all... I was left with a big jigsaw basically haha
I would've been scared just cuz fires and fumes could result in mixing wrong things with resin -- such as a plant worker had mixed two different brands of resin and caused exploson. But I'm a scaredy cat so that's imo. 😃
I will be back with it very soon ... Next week in fact .. I usually explore a particular medium for a but and then go back to it when new ideas come ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us! Great video!
The colour combination is stunning and I could probably spend a few hours just looking at the interface between the resin and the jesmonite.

I think the round one you didn't like has potential Claire, especially if you leave the resin a bit longer next time. Great experiment though.

thank yoooo Karey ... the tattoos are linked below xx
sorry lovely ... just realised they were not there ... they are there now it is a 52 tattoo pack called Shegazzi
I think the bubbles in the tray top coat were because of all those divots and air pockets that were by the leaves... 👍
I’d love to see a similar mix when the resin has gone a lot thicker. Can you try please 🙏 xxx
