  • The Milk Run refers to the daily circuit of Alaska Airlines flights that hop between towns in Southeast Alaska, serving as a lifeline for the communities that aren’t always connected by roads to the outside world. In aviation, the term “milk run” refers to a scheduled flight with many stops, or a routine journey.

@@QFSAviation that's awesome. I'd highly recommend doing it in the summer. There's hiking and fishing and lush green mountains in the summer, but right now it's not very nice. I should warn you though, that weather conditions can delay flights, and in busy times like June and January it can take days to get a seat. I'd suggest July or August. :)

Reading others' comments on this vid,I too would agree that this is Alaska's version of the "Island Hopper' that UA flies between HNL-GUM--with only a 10 minute flight time between Petersburg and Wrangell, would be interesting to price a FC ticket between the two 'cities'--I'm guessing Alaska has a monopoly on flights into these various stops and can charge what they want--interesting that KTN proclaims itself as an 'international' airport--true,Canada isn't far away but are there other destinations outside of North America that are flown? Got the impression that once you arrived at ANC,you simply hung out at the airport till it was time to board the Milk Run--by the time you arrived at KTN,you must've been exhausted! Paying only $542 for FC with all this flying around, the price looks very reasonable!
