Homeboy went all game just casually farming from a distance, then right at the end said "hold my beer" and went all Christian Bale in Equilibrium on the entire remaining enemy team.

MVP goes to that Somers cpt. He got the most critical kills and point captures when his team needed it the most with his microscopic amount of health. Well played IMO.
Holy shit what an ending. Glad to have a replay where the protagonist actually knows what he's doing. Granted, the enemies at the end didn't have to push, but at least they all pushed together

something I've noticed about the tromp id the planes will come from the direction of the tromp. a little something that can help show you where it's at.
The enemy team didn’t really throw though. The shimakaze just tried to link up with the cruisers and was caught by radar and ai don’t really think the cruisers could have truly disengaged completely they were too close. Then, even if the last enemy destroyer had ran away and lived, I think Yeeyew’s team could have won on points.
That was a well-coordinated ambush by the rest of the enemy team at the end but they really got extremely, extremely unlucky there. What a huge turn of events - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Tldr: Add a minesweeper ship type to game for more interesting game play around islands. Also love your content! Hey, just an idea I am throwing out here comment section. What do you guys think of a new ship type called a minesweeper? These would essentially be smaller than a submarine, have less than 10,000 hp, but be extremely fast. They would be able to disarm mines laid by other minesweepers or from submarines. The mine would work where it has three depths: surface, shallow, and deep. Surface will do set damage to all ships that ended the activation range, and are easiest to detect. Shallow would damage all ships but destroyers, and can be detonated by torpedos. Deep mines can only hurt battleships, submarines, and carriers. These minesweepers would have 1 or 2 smaller secondary guns, and would have a sonar sweep function that marks enemy mines for whole team to see. However you would have to sonar sweep for only one of the three mine types at a time. That would and the challenge of having to wait around and not get shot at while you wait for your ping to recharge. If you think this is a good idea Mighty Jingles, I will bring this idea to Wows developers. Anyways on another note, love your content. Please keep doing it!
Excellent video, Jingles! Thanks for sharing! I had a similar experience in my Des Moines recently, when a wild Worcester and a Petropavlosk suddenly emerged from behind an island in front of me, both showing broadside. Needless to say, it was the last mistake they made during that particular battle.
I have slowly been getting better with my Shimikaze. I had a really good outing last weekend unit. Sunk 2 tier 10 battleships and won a gun fight with another Dd. Our team got the win too so that made it all the better! Thanks Jingles for the video! Merry Christmas!
Maybe when the Salem asked "Can I have a smoke?" the Harugumo thought "Sorry dude I'm out of Cigarettes". Or he thought Jingles always says that smokes are torpedo magnets so I better not use mine.
Or maybe the Harugumo was being radared by enemy Salem, he is like 7-8km away from it maybe? Or maybe he didn't equip smoke consumable, i know that the shimakaze can choose between smoke and torpedo reload booster. Or maybe he used it but coz of server side lag (or just normal lag, but with wows rather crappy servers, it's probably the prior) the ship didn't lay a smoke. Or maybe he forgot he had one (with >95% in BBs I do that often). Or maybe she was busy complaining in forum that everyone assumes she is a "he". Or maybe...
"Probably the Tromp, might be the Austin, somebody on the enemy team is flipping the cap circle at Charlie as well" Meanwhile, the remaining ships on the enemy team are a Tromp, a Salem, a Shima and a Marseille. Never change, Jingles, never change.
Never expect a Harugumo to give up a smoke because sitting in smokes and farming is what they do so doing that you pretty much as him to give away 50-60 K damage. When playing a Shima tho I would definitely give away a smoke for a radar cruiser that volunteers to push in and cover my back. Could be good to point out 2 potential critical mistakes. At 09:16 the Shima gets spotted 11 km away from the Salem and stays detected for a good while, but instead of helping the Somers to take Shima out he sits and aims at the Slava. Shima could have been killed right there. At 14:39 there was 5 min left on the clock and he has 3 superheals left. There is no reason to save those 3, instead he should have used one to heal as much as he could and then he would have another one of cooldown when the last fight happened and also with more HP. He could have gotten killed in the last fight, the green bar doesn't matter until it turns yellow (health) so just one good strike from the Tromp or a hit from Marseille could have resulted in a loss.
Using hydro immediately after starting a match is another one of those things I do not understand, next to not using smoke while it's clearly necessary. I could see the throw coming from miles away, though. Yiyuu did great, shooting and scooting in open water and only getting stuck in when the time was right.
re Shima question: what might have happened: shima was sailing at full speed north, Haru was sailing full speed south, that's like 70+ knots combined. Shima spotted the Haru and started to turn, but couldn't on time before sailing into spotting range. Just watch the minimap. [yeah, noob error, I'm sometimes guilty of running into something like that face first myself] Although the shima could have dropped an escape smokescreen to save her skin, while she had like 7K HP. it's enough to spam torpedoes for the rest of the match and to spot for the team if nothing else.
Props to the Salem player. He was careful and kept his distance early game farming from a kiting position. However he pushed in immediately when the game was on the line. He did not, I repeat, did not sail to the edge of the map.
Also kudos to the Conqueror, *the* single most tanky ship vs fires, that can simply let two, if not three fires burn, for choosing to extinguish a single fire while on full HP and pushing in to a Salem and a Thunderer. Truly a big brain move! Sigh…
Wow amazing game! To be fair I can see how the enemy were like - it's a low health somers and a Salem, if we all go at once we can get him... IF.... really good team game - Somers was awesome, killed the kremlin and capped at just the right moment.
The Salem remains my go-to ship whenever I need Citadel hits for an event. And the Des Moines AA superiority is a myth. Salem has lots of 76mm guns which can actually cause damage. All that close range dakka on the Des Moines can only hit planes during their attack runs, when they’re immune to damage.
Very impressive performance! However... I can't stop thinking of why that Salem did not even try to chase down that Shima as soon as he spotted the first set of torps?? That enormous mistake cost them a lot of ships, the inability to properly push the center of the map, and nearly cost them the entire game! And the Salem, although a little far when the Shima was first spotted, went in the opposite direction... Remember kids : when a DD is spotted, you MUST focus on him. especially a Shima right in the middle of your fleet!
What the actual f&ck, dude.... That Shima played a damn near *perfect* game then decided to rub his face against a radar cruiser? Edit: Maybe the Shima thought the Salem was out of radar. I know I've caught DDs out by having one charge left near the end of a match.

I remember some Japanese destroyers having the option to forego a smokescreen for a torpedo reload booster. Not sure about these two, but it might be possible that at least one of them didn't have his smokescreen equipped.
That was for the torpedo boat line but only for the tier 8 and 9 I believe; the Shimakaze didn't get changed during the line rearranging so doesn't have that option.

Maybe he thought he couldn't hide in smoke.... Great ending :P
@18:34 the Salem was extremely lucky that the Tromp didn't citadel him broadside on with the two salvos that struck his side. This game really was an unlucky series of events for the enemy team - Salem should have been blown out of the water even by the 6in guns of the CL i mean DD Tromp.

Salem isn't worse than the Des Moines, but the Des Moines is a lot more comfortable in different situations> The very good heal can save your game where you'd just die in the Des Moines, but more often hydro + an actually usable radar will help you out more.
Those last few minutes where 4 enemy ships throwing themselves on their swords made me think of the fully armed suicide squad at the end of the movie ''Life of Brian''. A totally weird act of idiocrasy I ever saw...

If I were that Shima I would be going towards a1 in the safe distance while launching torpedo's into broadside Salem.
That was a BEAUTIFUL 4 on 1. God. I can only dream of that kinda shit.
Not all of us have millions of commander xp points to automatically retrain our captains. Shima is most likely retraining his Yugumo captain.
Salem isn't worse than the Des Moines, but the Des Moines is a lot more comfortable in different situations> The very good heal can save your game where you'd just die in the Des Moines, but more often hydro + an actually usable radar will help you out more.
definitely a r/unexpectedgameofthrows by that Shimakaze... Goodjob to him anyway for doing so well before. Good win to yiyuu~ 👍
Good one! Very entertaining.
Those last few minutes where 4 enemy ships throwing themselves on their swords made me think of the fully armed suicide squad at the end of the movie ''Life of Brian''. A totally weird act of idiocrasy I ever saw...
Jingles I was playing this game the other day and wondered if there is a ship version of the infamous KV2 from world of tanks?
Or a TOG? 🤔😁
good one Jingles
thanks
I'm always watching to see if I did something stupid that was caught on video.
Another great video with a great ending
His division mate had a humourously apt name: Dis_is_fine🤣
this is like the equivalent of watching 4 people try to jump somebody only to get skull dragged.
this should have been the game of throws season finally
Morning jingles
So this was another sneaky episode of a game of throws then!!😅
I would like to thank the Conk player for giving OP more HP to farm
He was my div mate, never seen a dd die so fast in clan battles
Great name Jingles!
This could also be a candidate for a Game of Throws Episode.
Don't you love the game of throws.🤣🤣
Damn nailbiter at the end!
i just got back into playing WoWs. I got the Asashio B in my second box, whatever box it was. i prefer british battleships but its my first high tier premium :')
as for laying smoke, i do it anyways for a friendly cruiser behind me, and just use my speed and concealment.
Nice, it seems that for some reason they give ships after you've been away for a long time. After my last 6 month hiatus I got a Roma and a Mainz lmao.
@@MuhammadFirdaus-wo6mz Thats how i got my Guilio Caesare too.
Imagine getting killed by a Salem's secondaries. That must be embarrassing
Throws are normal conducted by 1 or 2 players - that was an all-in, group, barn-dance of a throw...
while I do love your wows and wot videos, i rarely laugh out loud while watching them, mostly out of respect to my family, but i had to make an exception on this one.
